Midnight has just returned from a week of leave from Luna’s day guard. A week she spent trying to give love one more chance, only to meet failure after failure. Her friend, Red Night, has one final ideal on how to turn Midnight’s luck around, one that may stress their friendship to the breaking point.

But, with the help of Princess Luna—and some realizations forced out into the open—perhaps all is not lost for the two friends. And maybe, just maybe, they’ll find out that love is a lot closer to home than either of them expect.

The Cakes got an order for a certain treat, one of the ingredients calls for a certain berry, and is known to grow only on the Everfree Forest. Pinkie gladly agrees to fetch the berries, and decides to take a break while she's there. Though strange things begin to happen, she decides to end her break early and goes back to the Bakery, until she is stopped by a strangely comical hooded skeleton.

The holidays at Canterlot High are always lovely. Bells ring, children sing, and old friends reunite. Sunset and her friends are in good cheers when the Doctor returns for a visit. However, he discovers a crack in time leading to Equestria. Even when he closes it, the crack returns, and a swarm if Changelings comes out of it. With the TARDIS sent off who knows where, the Doctor is stuck between a rock and a hard place, as he must protect all of Canterlot High's students from the Changeling Invasion.
