“AHAHAHAHAHA!!!” the Mane-iac said as she bent over her new evil bomb she had created. “That's right Power Ponies! Now that I have captured Saddle Rager, Fili-Second, and Radiance...nothing can stop me!”
“You won't get away with this you overgrown hair monster!” Fili-Second yelled back as her hooves dangled out of her cage.
“On the contrary Power Pony, I will. As we speak, my minions are fighting a losing battle with the other power ponies on the other side of the city. Little do they know that I'm about to unleash my new 'Hair Destroyer Bomb'!” the Mane-iac's hair then grabbed a drink from her desk. “Two minutes from now, my other minions will bring the vehicle that will send this bomb to the center of the city! There, my greatest crime shall begin as I blow the mayor's building to smithereens! And a couple blocks with it!” She began to laugh as she her drink flailed over her mouth. “Nopony can stop me now!”
Little did the Mane-iac know but the Power Ponies sidekick Humdrum was listening, his small body crawling through a nearby vent. “I have to stop her!” he said to himself. “That or free my friends...” his small body then made a loud crick. “Ow...maybe I should work getting out of this vent first...”
As he struggled down the vent shaft, his eyes widened as he saw Mane-iac's minions arrive. “Oh no! Am I too late?! I have to-”
“hOI!”
“Huh?”
“hOI!”
“Augh!” yelled Spike as he fell out of his chair, his comic flying out of his hands. “What was that?!”
“hOI!”
Spike looked around a second, only to see a certain figure standing right beside him. It was vibrating intensely. “What the...what are you supposed to be? And how did you get in here?!”
“hOI! I'm temmie!”
“Oh...uh, okay.” Spike picked himself up and petted Temmie. “Nice to meet ya Temmie. I'm Spike.”
“you...spike?”
“That's right.” Spike's puffed his chest up. “I'm a dragon!”
“you...drakn?”
“Eh...close enough. So, what are you doing here? I mean, I don't mind meeting ya, even though I was trying to finish my comic.”
“tem...tri ta go hom.”
“Go home? Where's your home?”
“tem...liv n tem village!”
“Tem village? Never heard of it.” Spike rubbed his chin in thought. “Maybe Twilight's read something about it...wanna go see?” Temmie just sat there, continuing to shake. Spike scratched the back of his head. “Okay. I'll take that as a yes. Come on, I'll show you around and introduce ya to Twilight.”
Meanwhile...
“Who goes there?!” yelled a certain zebra. “Who is outside my house, for I am certain you are no mouse!”
“Um...”
The zebras eyes shifted around as she tried to find where the voice was coming from. It only took a moment till she saw the voice's owner. In front of her floated what looked like a blank white sheet with empty holes as eyes. “This forest shows me many things, but a ghost is something I have never seen!”
“Um...hello. I'm uh...sorry if I interrupted something...”
“You have not interrupted anyone my dear, but please tell me why you are here.”
“Oh uh...I'm kinda lost.”
“Ah, I see. You are lost in the Everfree?”
“Um...yeah. What you just said...whoever you are.”
“Oh! I apologize, in my stride, I forgot my manners with my pride. I am Zecora the Zebra.”
“I...I'm uh...Napstablook. Nice to meet you, I guess...”
“A fine name you have, my scared little ghost friend. Tell me, if I may see, would you like to come in for some tea?”
Back at Twilight's castle...
“Let me get straight...” Twilight said with a hint of skepticism. “A dog cat creature named Temmie, right? And it keeps disappearing even though it wants to go home?”
“Yes Twilight. We need to go find the poor thing.” Fluttershy said with an expression of worry.
“We will Fluttershy. It's just...I'm surprised no one has seen it already. I mean, according to what you just told me, I don't think anypony would be used to seeing such a sight.”
“Okay.” Fluttershy turned to Derpy. “It'll be okay Derpy, we'll help you find Temmie.”
“I know, its just...”
“hOI!”
“Whoa!” yelped Twilight as the voice made her hop into the air. “What was that?!”
“Temmie!” Derpy exclaimed with a smile. “You're okay!” She then immediately jumped and hugged the creature. “Thank goodness!”
“hOI!”
Derpy's hug was short lived as she let go and yelled. “Why do you keep running away?! We're trying to help you!”
“tem...lik 2 wandr.”
“No kidding.” Derpy sighed. “Anyways...” she turned to Twilight. “This is Temmie.”
“I see. It really does look like a dog cat hybrid. Kind of.”
“Isn't it adorable though?” Fluttershy said with a smile.
“Yeah...it's really cute.” Twilight then went up and patted it on the head. “You're a cute little thing, aren't you?”
“hOI! I'm temmie!”
“Hello Temmie, I'm Twilight Sparkle. It's nice to meet you.”
“you...twilght spakl?”
“No. Twilight Sparkle.”
“twilght spakl.”
Twilight let out a snort. “No. My name is Twilight Sparkle.”
“name...is twilght spakl.”
“What the-why did you say the first two words right but not my name?!”
“tem...gud at wurds!”
“No. You-” Twilight's mouth was covered by a sudden hoof. Her eyes turned to the hoof's owner.
“Please stop Twilight. You'll scare Temmie.” Fluttershy said in a kind tone.
“Oh...right. Sorry about that.” Twilight's head slumped down. “I'm a stickler for grammar and...”
Derpy and Fluttershy both giggled. “We understand Twilight. Can we come in?”
“Sure. Come on in.”
The four entered the castle and went to throne room. There, they found Spike who told them that he had just met Temmie. Unfortunately, Spike didn't keep his eyes on the creature and soon found himself alone in the castle, looking for Temmie. The five then sat down to the large table between the thrones.
“Okay Temmie...” Twilight said as she pulled out a pen and paper. “I need you to answer a few questions so we can help you. Now, I've read every book in this castle and I've never heard of Tem Village.”
“twilght...not knw tem villag?”
“No, I don't. I was thinking you could tell us more about it.”
“tem...tel bout tem villag.”
“Great!” Twilight's eyes shined as she levitated a pen over the paper. “Please, go ahead and tell us more about this Tem Village!”
“tem...luv livng n tem village! tem villag...hav many thngs!”
“Okay...what things does it have?”
“tem villag...hav statue of tem!”
“Statue of tem? You mean, a statue that looks like you?”
“yaYA! statue of tem look lik tem! statue of tem...” Temmie's shaking body rolled over the table to Twilight. It leaned in as it said the next few words. “very famus.”
“Very famous?” Twilight's head cocked sideways in confusion.
“VERY!!!!!!” Temmie yelled as it stood and shook all over.
“Whoa!” Twilight fell back from the yell, her paper and pen flying out of her hooves.
“Temmie! That wasn't very nice!” scolded Derpy. “Say you're sorry!”
“tem...tel bout tem villag.”
“I know, but you shouldn't have done that. You scared Twilight!”
“tem...sorry.”
“Apologize to Twilight, not me.”
Temmie turned around and faced Twilight, who was grabbing her pen and paper with magic. She sat back down as she put the paper in front of her. “tem...sorry.”
“It's fine. You just caught me off guard is all.” Twilight shook the pen and put it to the paper. “Please continue.”
“tem...hav deep history!”
“Oh really?” Twilight's eyes shined again. “Please tell us the history of Tem Village!”
“tem villag...hav no history. tems hav deep history!”
“Oh. Okay. Go ahead and tell us about Temmie history then.”
“tems hav a DEEP HISTORY!” Temmie exclaimed. “tems hav VERY DEEP HISTORY!!! VERY!!!”
“Okay...tell us about this history. Oh, and try not to yell 'deep history' so much please.”
“tem can't.”
“Why not?”
“tem not hav degree from cool leg. need degree so tem can tell all about tem's DEEP HISTORY!!!”
“Degree from cool leg? You mean college?”
“yaYA! tems can go to cool leg for degree! then tem learn bout DEEP HISTORY!!! then tem knw DEEP HISTORY lik tem in tem shop!”
“But...then...so...do you know anything about the village Temmie?”
“yaYA! tem luv tem villag!”
Twilight facehoofed at the response. She looked at Derpy and Fluttershy. The two shrugged. “This is gonna take a while, isn't it?” she groaned.
“I'm afraid it might Twilight.” Fluttershy said as she went up and patted Twilight on the back. “Sorry.”
“why take long time? tem need get to tem villag!”
“We know...that's the problem.” Twilight said as she put her head on the table. “Hmm...” Twilight turned to Spike. “Think I should ask Princess Celestia if she's ever heard of this place?”
Spike shrugged. “I don't see why not. I mean, she could just write you back yes or no.”
“True...take a letter Spike. I have a feeling this is just the beginning...”
