Ty is sick of life on Earth. In a small town where everyone else has friends, hobbies, and a place to belong, he has no clue what he should be doing. Only finding one thing he can do reliably, screw up, most people generally don't like him, earning him some rivals.

When he decided he could be a brony, he gives Friendship Is Magic a shot to help his depression. While he enjoyed it, it didn't seem to work. But when a field trip turned otherworldly transportation brings him to Equestria, the neurotic coward must find a way to survive in a world that works the opposite of how he does.

A group of pony radicals try to summon a demon to overthrow the princesses. Instead they got a human. They don't know what a human is.

The morning after an intense high can be pretty weird, especially when said 'high' was turning into a raging she-demon.

Beaten, humiliated, and forced to face her inner demons, to say that Sunset was not in a good place would have been an understatement. Yet, much to her surprise, her emotions were far more in control than the situation would have warranted. Whatever happened last night, it was messing with her, and now she had to deal with that, alongside the impossible task of making amends for what she tried to do.

Unfortunately for her, she isn't the only one feeling strange.

Fortunately for her, a certain someone doesn't think her situation is as hopeless as she does.

My own attempt at a classic fic premise, involving my favorite little bacon horse. Rated T for the occasional bit of bad language.

While not a direct sequel, this takes place in the same universe as Obsession and Ambition. They're not at all necessary to understand this story, but they are connected to this if you want to read them.

Author's notes: I've been working on this story for over a year. I'll admit it contains a lot of elements that appear commonly in other Sunset stories -- this is just my take on it. I'll try to give credit where credit is due -- although nearly every idea in this story occurred to me independently, others have actually published stories using many of them first.

The thrust of the story is to take material written for ages say 10-13 (i.e. the EQG movies/shorts/specials) and age it up to make it more dramatic and meaningful. Probably my favorite thing to write was the conversations that must have taken place, both in the human world and in Equestria, but that aren't depicted in any movie or book.

Full Disclosure: Sunset's friends play their usual crucial roles in her redemption and growth, but this is a Momlestia/Lunauntia story too. And there is no shipping. Romance isn't Sunset's priority as she crawls out of the darkness of her former life. Yet.

I had to add the AU tag after Forgotten Friendship came out. Up until then, this story was fairly canon-compatible. Now, it diverges a bit.

Good-natured warning: Feels. Lots of feels.

Twilight Sparkle finally achieved her destiny. She was now a Princess of Equestria, and needless to say her friends were surprised. When a second, unicorn Twilight Sparkle appeared alongside the new alicorn, even Princess Celestia was shocked. Now the Elements of Harmony must help the pony make friends and learn magic, as well as get used to her surprising un-Twilightness.

Meanwhile, a 17 year old high schooler with nothing to do during summer hits his head and wakes up in Equestria. He must now learn how to live his new life as Twilight Sparkle's "twin sister" and survive in a town where a catastrophe happens every Tuesday or so.
