Indigo Zap was the star athlete of Crystal Prep Academy. Way more athletic than she had any right to be, and always looking for a challenge, she helped the school's reputation immensely. Everyone respected her.
But no one knew what lied beneath the surface. No one knew why she was such a loner, even by Crystal Prep standards.
She rarely, if ever hung out with others, often rushing back home after practice. And she rarely called or texted anyone, and no one even knew what hobbies she had. That was by design, because Indigo didn't WANT them to know.
After all, how could they understand her obsession when even she didn't?
Edit (9/15/22): Edited a small detail about the number of sketchbooks. Not too important, but simply made the number smaller to fit new continuity details.
Great job. I totally understand how you feel about Shadowbolts - I feel the same way, only my favorite is Sugarcoat. I still can't believe there's so little about them in EG - they have huge potential (which has been proven in dozens, if not hundreds, of fanfictions that I've read about Shadowbolts). And yes, I would really like to see them in a pony version, but life is cruel...

I was interested to see what other stories there were with this character on the site, and was shocked to see very few.
Indigo is in my top 3 eg characters and I agree she’s great for fanfics because, she’s a great character to headcanon.
Epic! Indigo Zapp is one of my favorite EqG characters.
Brilliant concept! It’s always a joy to read a Shadowbolt tale; especially one that explores possible hidden depths to these under-appreciated characters.
Excellent story from the Crystal Prep side Lemon Zest and Indigo Zapp were my favorites. Could you do a 2md chapter but from Lemon Zest's Point of View and a similar type scenario? But instead of images she has songs from the FiM pony side of the spectrum....would that work as plot line?

I feel like in this specific continuity set up here, Indigo would probably approach Sunset right after the Friendship Games instead. After the incident with Midnight Sparkle, seeing what was inside those tears between dimensions, she'd want answers.
Ooh. Not the first instance of this idea I’ve seen, but definitely the first use of Indigo. (Usually it’s Lyra.) Fascinating concept… and it implies that Sunset still has her cutie marks. I wonder what kind of locker room talk that’s engendered…
In any case, great portrait of a girl conflicted. I can only imagine how this Indigo will react to the visions of Equestria come the Friendship Games. On to the next installment.
