Following the Doctor's disapperance from the wider universe, several of his former companions set out to track down the good doctor from whatever horrible situation of captivity he may be in. Their arrival in Equestria though hits an immediate roadbump in the form of Lyra Heartstrings, Human Hunter of Equestria. Thats not all though, as the Doctor reveals through complicated science that his former companions are in great danger of exploding, twice, unless they get to the TARDIS fast without Lyra finding them and all of Equestria going into a panic.

Convinced that he's either dreaming, stoned, or insane, he tries to go along with it as best he can, although the voice in his head, a very angry voice with a hunger for conquest, crystals, slavery, and stairs, isn't doing much to instill confidence in his own sanity...

Three weeks after the events of Rainbow Rocks, the sirens are desperate. Without their hearts—the jewels that hold their magic—they have no power. They can't sing, can't manipulate people, and worst of all, can't feed. Their only hope is to restore their hearts, and they need to do it soon, before all three of them starve.

The problem is, they're not sure how to fix the hearts. All they've managed to figure out is that they'll need magic to do it, and magic is exactly what they don't have.
