//------------------------------// // chapter 30:slip up day (WARNING:not yet filtered through editor) // Story: Dark Souls:the descent into friendship // by star dust pony //------------------------------// "Well sir Sparks is asleep." I heard the Princess of the sun exit out into the balcony with me, yet I still paid little attention to the sound of the clopping hooves as I gazed at the sun. I turned my head to acknowledge her as not to be rude but the stiffness of my neck from being in one position too long made it quiet difficult to do so. "It is good to know he is resting but how are you princess? I know its not common to have two new creatures from different worlds in your kingdom." The clopping of her hooves eventually reached next to me as he long flowing mane and tail seemed to reach out from her head beautifully. "I...am doing fine Solare the only thing that truly concerns me is my sister..." Her look truly was worried as she looked up at the sun. "...It should have been night a long time ago, I merely hope she does not feel cross with me for forgetting." I looked up at the sun again and started hearing another set of hooves making their way here and it felt allot like they had allot more...'umph' in their step like they were quiet agitated. "I'm sure your sister doesn't mind, she seems like a patient mare and you have been busy dealing with...well..me and sparks!" I let out a good heart'ed chuckle in hopes to lighten the mood. "...Sister." That voice was unmistakable and I honestly should have guessed Luna would be slightly agitated. Celestia rapidly turned to face her sister and since I did not want to interfere, I simply decided to listen. "Oh, Luna, how are you?" Celestia was starting to get nervous...why do I get the feeling this rarely happens? or am I just insane? "Sister the sun has been out for far too long, I thought we got this problematic feud in the past." Luna was thankfully not as angry as i'd thought but she was more agitated than a Catarina knight with their armor full of sand. "My greatest apologize sister...but I have been rather busy with our two new knights." She glanced at me for a moment and I could see it just out of the corner of my eye. "And yet you can still eat cake between talking to the two?" Even I could feel Celestia gulp slightly. Celestia simply let out a nervous mumble for a moment...so I had to speak up before things got worse. "Pleas Luna, remain patient, your moon will rise soon but first your sister must arrange how we are going to live here because in case you have not noticed both me and sir Sparks are homeless and don't really have ideal living conditions." The sun princess let out a sigh of relief as her sister just let out a sigh of acceptance. "Exactly what Solare said." "Very well sister...I shall wait a little longer for my moon to have its time...I just hope with it being gone so long that SOME ponies will appreciate it slightly more." She seemed slightly calmer now which will not help what happens next at all. And then I said the stupidest thing that has ever come out of my mouth without even thinking this time. "Probably not really, their is very little that can beat the magnificence of the sun, it is like a magnificent father to all, shinning his protection onto its children." A moment later I remembered who I was talking to and my limbs stiffened and my muscles tighten as I felt a bit of cold sweat trickle down my head. "...I...see...thank you for telling me." Luna's voice was sounding shaky and disappointed, I almost felt like I accidentally stabbed her through the heart...and every inch of me told me I had made a MASSIVE mistake. Princess Luna slowly walked away with her head tilted down and I could feel Celestia starring at me in shock. "...Uhhhh...i'm sorry princess, I didn't mean to do that to your sister." "...Its fine Solare, I just hope she knows that too." Celestia seemed to just walk back inside and leave me to my thoughts. I simply returned to gazing at the sun but now with a heavy heart and my eyes burning ever so slightly in its rays. It felt like hours passed with me simply gazing at the sun, Only occasionally hearing a argument between the Princess of the moon and the Princess of the sun...and then it all stopped as I heard Celestia quietly panicking...and then the sun was blocked out entirely...eclipsed...by the moon...and it became dark...oh so dark...
