When our protagonist awakens in the Everfree Forest, he is not alone. Transformed into a creature he once thought to be fictional, and accompanied by his close family he must find his way through this new land. Can he build a new life for them all in Equestria, and how will the ponies react to these strange creatures? Particularly when they find out about a certain TV show.

I had originally unpublished this and didn't plan to come back to MLP fanfiction. However, by request, I am at least making it public again. This story is dead! Sorry!

Do you ever have those days where you nearly die and are teleported to a far away land full of horses? Didn't think so. Unfortunately for me, my repertoire of bizarre experiences is only growing bigger by the minute.

Now it's time for me to learn how to survive in a world that I don't know the first thing about.

Twilight is dead. Hello, my name is Twilight, but I'm not the pony you are thinking of. Twilight is dead. In fact, I've never been a pony for as far back as I can remember. Twilight is dead. I'm not sure who I am. Twilight lives.

I did get a fair bit of inspiration from axelsempai's My Twilight Facade in terms of setup, but don't worry. This story is going to be way different.

You may have read the story of what happened beneath Twilight's School of Friendship. That's the nice version the princesses want all the ponies to believe in. This is the real version of what the Student 6 and Starlight Glimmer went through to bring Equestria's magic back as they faced terrible and mysterious things banished from Equestria into the Realm of the Lost.

This started as an interactive story, so readers voted to help the characters decide what to do at the end of most chapters. I switched to using some RPG elements with a more traditional style in later chapters.

This story is run using a mix of the Mythic and Tails of Equestria systems.

This was also inspired partly by Starscribe's wonderful Voyage of the Equinox.

There exists in any given location either an inn or bar where the locals meet at the end of a long work day and trade drinks and stories. By the ancient laws of happenstance, the same must be true for areas where the permanent population is exactly one. Now, most would assume it would default to those creatures preferred drinking area in their own house. These people have never been to the only truly lonely place in Equestria. On the border of the unending sea and the badlands there sits an Inn, with a strange bartender. If one comes seeking riches or fame, he will gladly kick you out, stating the only riches here are booze and misery. But if you come for a strong drink and an ear to listen to your problems, then you have found your home.

Some societies worshipped masters of thunder, who wielded mighty hammers. Some societies worshipped those who had the head of a crocodile. And then, there were those deities that were a bit more, well, colourful. A bit more fun-loving. A bit unpredictable. But they were caring also, and for them, the world was big, beautiful and was to be handled with tremendous responsibility.

...Oh, and it was also a massive playground for them to do pretty much whatever they wanted. But hey, work hard and play hard, right?

When a strange, unexpected storm settles over Ponyville, Twillight Sparkle investigates. She discovers that not only is the storm the fault of the weather ponies, but only the weakest flyer in Ponyville can stop it.

Twilight discovers the true purpose for the Canterlot Royal gardens, much to Princess Celestia's annoyance. Knowing her student will seek answers with or without her permission, the Princess gives Twilight a new subject to study, the story of five of the garden's occupants, their connection to Nightmare Moon, and the dark days of the War of Night.

Fic is currently undergoing a very slow revision. Revised chapters will have a (R) in the title.
I've also added chapter numbers for a bit more ease of navigation. Mostly on my part.
This is a project that I will slowly be working on Bringing my first major story up to snuff. I shall also be fixing plot holes and clearing up some issues that certain parts have that may contradict the lore later on.
This will only be worked on sporadically unfortunately as I need to be in certain mind sets to do this.

Fizzlepop Berrytwist suffered a terrible tragedy as a foal and nearly lost her way until a chance meeting with Shining Armor showed her another path in life - as a member of the Night Guard of Luna. However, in her efforts to prove herself as being up to the task of being a Night Guard, she has pushed herself practically to the breaking point. As her commanding officers try and sort out her unique situation and if the Guard really is the place for her, she is given a simple assignment: keep an eye on Trixie Lulamoon, Princess Luna's new apprentice, as she spends a day in Canterlot.
