For me, however, it's a bit more literal.

With the recent boom in business for Oscorp, all the papers and online news reels are talking about the most advanced science company in existence. As such, schools all over the country are flocking to the giant tower in Midtown to see their amazing experiments. One such school is Midtown High School where the young nobody teenager Peter Parker and the popular, perfect student Twilight Sparkle study. But while on the trip Peter becomes separated from his tour group and stumbles into a secret lab where Oscorp has made their latest and possibly greatest discovery; genetic reconstruction. While investigating these new discoveries he is forced to remain hidden from two scientists discussing the condition of the CEO of Oscorp and how the serum appears to have worked. While hidden Peter is bitten by one of the genetically modified spiders in the lab before escaping back to his tour group. As days go by Peter discovers he had been given extraordinary abilities by the spider bite. But after the abuse of his powers leads to tragedy Peter vows to use his gifts to help and save others. And this vow leads him into a head on conflict with a monster calling himself the Green Goblin

Set in the same universe as my other stories Iron Mare and Flutterhulk but you don't have to have read those to read this.

The powerful but arrogant warrior Rainbow Dash is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst mortal ponies in Equestria, where she soon becomes one of their finest defenders.

Please note that the "Other" tag is to cover my bases, since this story has a lot of side characters (i.e. The Warriors Three and such) and I ran out of tags. And yes, even though this is a superhero story, most of the time is spent without kicking butt. This character driven more then action driven. I might add the tag as I see fit.

Derpy was only trying to deliver a box of fireworks (that were due for transport days ago) to somepony by the last name of Lulamoon. As it happened, the pony turned out to be a really famous showmare and she didn't seem very happy when she arrived in the middle of the night, though the oddly emotionless mare beside her...well, she wasn't sure. Anywho, Ms. Lulamoon wasn't mad at Derpy; a really big metal bird thing demolished her home when it fell out of the sky, and she was really bent on finding the owner and giving them an earful. In her defense, Derpy didn't know she stepped on any buttons inside the blasted thing; nopony should leave stuff like that for a mailmare like her to step on. But then they were suddenly in this giant black space and Equestria had completely vanished. Then the showmare got angry at her. The other pony? She just kept staring blankly.

Lucky for them, these cool alien creatures came out of nowhere and offered to get her home once they finished a job they had to do. See, they're apparently Guardians of the Galaxy or something like that, and they help out folks in the galaxy. So, Derpy naturally assumed that they'd just tag along for now and they'd be home in no time at all, where she could finish her delivery andjust maybe keep her job!

Then the talking raccoon stole a few batteries from these golden people, and everything went downhill from there.

Like,way down. Like falling of a cliff into an endless void-down.

After their defeat at the hands of the Rainbooms, the Sirens wanted to make a break for it, leave Canterlot, and regroup someplace else.

But with the authorities now onto them, that isn't an option.

Faced with being sent to juvy or worse, an orphanage, the Sirens are given an alternative they don't particularly like:

Being "rehabilitated" by their enemies.

At Principal Celestia's suggestion, the Sirens are separated from one another, and each is sentenced to live with one of the Rainbooms. Adagio is sent to live with Sunset Shimmer. Sonata is sent to live with Pinkie Pie.

Aria is sent to live with Fluttershy. One of these girls is in for a whole lot of trouble.

A take on the Dazzlings' role in the Oversaturated Universe, with heavy inspiration from the various shenanigans of the McElroy brothers.

The war of Cybertron wasn't just about Autobots and Decepticons, there were also civilians and rescue personnel. One such group was Rescue Bot Squadron Alpha 9, and their Wrecker bodyguard, who were charged with keeping a protoform nursery away from the fighting. To accomplish this, they hid on a planet with strange energy fields and gravitational anomalies to avoid detection. Unfortunately, the same energies caused them to crash into a mountain and remain in stasis for a thousand or so years. Eventually, the inhabitants built a city on top of that mountain, a city called Canterlot.

And now, the war is over, and the Bots are waking up.
