Once upon a time a selfish princess who raised the Sun and took an entire world put it inside a dream so she could test a prince she favored. But the princess was afraid she might break her prince, so she tested her dream machine on a vagabond, leaving the vagabond with a happy life inside the dream as repayment for his cruel mistreatment. In the end she she broke her prince all the same, and the world itself inside her dream machine died beneath a melting Silver Sky.

The prince did not loose faith in the selfish princess and would have forgiven any mistreatment, but the cost of breaking an entire world is dear. The world of the selfish princess was itself placed inside a dream by a selfish princess who raised the Moon so that she could fix a pony who was never really broken. And when he awakened the world of the selfish princess of the sun faded away like the silver stars with dawn’s first light.

This is the story of the vagabond.

It wouldn't hurt to read David Silver's Silververse Stories if you haven't already. This is a shared universe story, and the stories do occasionally cross-reference, though it's not strictly necessary to read both, It might clear up occasional confusion.

Annoyed that the nobles keep taking up all of princess Celestia's time filly Twilight vents the only way she knows how. By writing an essay! However she wrote this essay on the blank bottom of the scroll containing the speech Princess Celestia was to read to her little ponies. And once the speech ends, Celestia doesn't stop. Much to the horror of some of the nobles in the crowd.

Starswirl was the last unicorn to have studied the magic of other worlds. That was over a millenia ago, and still no one had even thought of using magic in another world. At least, no one until Sunset crossed the portal. Disobeying her teacher, she had taken magic to the new world, and found it altered. After being reformed, she tried to understand the world's native magic, but failed. She found it was different. Perhaps she just needed a focal point, and what better focal point than Equestrian magic?

However, not long after the primary test, Sunset discovers that one of her friend’s pasts has been altered, and all memory of them erased. Only she notices anything is wrong and has enough knowledge of both worlds to save her friends.

Now history requires an Editor, and Sunset will have to step up if she is to save her friends.

A short segment of my first take on the History of Equestria. (Yes, I have two complex Equine timeline headcanons. I'm weird that way.)

Main Storyline: When Dark Stone witnesses the Empire slowly turn against a tribe they helped create, he wonders if he should stand by as innocent ponies are brutally murdered.

Secondary Storyline: Starlight volunteers to read an old story to a particular filly, after Twilight failed to make good on her promise. She fights against her haunting past, as the filly slowly reminds her of the life that was taken from her, and the life she lost.

A lone mare creeps through the darkness with only her quarry in mind.

This is my first posting of fanfiction so I hope you guys like what you read, any comments are welcome and criticism if it is constructive.

Sometimes you come up with a setting for a story, a setting you really like the premise of. It has all the elements that you'd look for in a story you'd want to read, and you're ready to get invested in that idea. There's just one problem.

There's no story that goes with that setting.

That is what this compilation of stories is. Stories I wrote a prologue, maybe even a chapter or two of, but either have no idea what kind of a story I would want to tell with them, or where they would go in the future. I like the ideas enough that I wanted to share them, but want to let people know ahead of time that I'm not sure if anything will come of them either. Heck, If I get enough feedback I might even be able to be inspired to turn them into full stories, or if someone else has a decent idea for a fic based off of one of these premises, I might even let them use it for themselves.

With that said, those of you who still want to read a weird set of settings like this, I hope you enjoy what there is to be had.

Also all of them involve Sunset Shimmer, because I'm a little obsessed.
