Twilight is on the cusp of leading Equestria for a year. It's been an easy year with no major difficulties. No wars. No natural disasters. No villains.

At least until a villain from the far, far future appears in Twilight's throne room. She's escaping defeat at Twilight's hooves, with one thought in mind: she won't be stopped if Twilight doesn't exist in the future. And here's Twilight's past self, right in front of her. Easy.

Unfortunately, she's not the only villain with this idea.

Sonata Dusk gets a government job in Equestria.

(Mood: Cheerful fluff)

Loosely inspired by a drawing of Chrysalis waving an EBT "food stamps" card at Cadance, I wrote the first draft of this story last Friday.

This bit of fluff might be an entry in Bicyclette's Polyship Contest, idk? (link)

Cover image: I had a lot of trouble finding art of Sonata dressed as an office worker, so I experimented with purplesmart.ai and edited the results.

Read the story of a lifetime and experience the existential crisis your brain will exhibit in this journey you will never forget.

Also don't forget to smile for the camera.

(Also also, seriously this thing is meant to be extremely confusing and not make sense at all. Still doesn't mean there's isn't any meaning to this meaningless mess though...)

Princess Celestia has long been aware of the existence of Daybreaker, a version of herself powered by fear, anger, and stress. Thankfully, Daybreaker only exists in her nightmares. At least, that's what she had hoped. In truth, with the mounting pressures being put upon her in an ever-advancing society, she has become acutely aware of the very real possibility that Daybreaker may one day overtake her. Now, it's up to you, her loving husband, to ensure that this does not come to pass.

...Well, good luck with that.

Requested by Ladon.

Some ponies had very different rules when it came to relationships. One rule is known as the three strike rule where if a partner disappoints the other too much three times, they end the relationship. It was a controversial choice and Starlight never thought she’d need that rule when it came to her relationship with Trixie, but sometimes she can only be hurt so much.

Equestria is an old nation, and one that has had the luxury of the same, immortal, regime for centuries. While this has given them unprecedent stability, especially in a land that seeks to throw a world-ending threat at them every other Tuesday, it does come with a tendency for the rulers to not so much repeal laws as just ignore them and act as if they've been done away with already.

Most of the time, this works out just fine. Until another immortal--such as, say, a starving royal changeling looking for somepony to help her regain her strength--remembers these laws and invokes them to use to their own advantage. By arriving at Twilight Sparkle's castle and declaring herself a member of Twilight's royal harem.

And she's just the first.

This story is a sequel to Twilight Is Fed Up Of The Vocal Minority's $#!%

NOTE: Current cover art is temporary.
You know what? I like this cover art and I'm too busy to replace it.

It had been many years since Twilight became the ruler of all of Equestria. During that time, in spite of having absolutely no clue on how to propose an effective tax policy, she proved herself to be a wise and good leader.

Until everypony was at each other’s throats again and all of Equestria’s magic was slowly being drained once again. Oh, and her friends died of old age (as most ponies tend to do).

Oh, well. Good thing she had Luna to act as an impromptu therapist.

This story is a sequel to My Tax Policy?

Despite the fact that she is probably the most powerful being in Equestria next to Discord, along with the fact that she and her friends have saved Equestria countless times, there are still some ponies that are attempting to overthrow Princess Twilight Sparkle for the most ridiculous of reasons. Seriously, not one of them listed her tax policy as a reason to stage a coup!

Surely, the perpetrators of this latest failed coup against her have better reasons for their actions, right?

Despite Celestia’s best efforts to groom her into being her successor, there are many things that she had forgotten to teach her former protege. One of which being how to propose an acceptable tax policy so she could avoid any potential riots and military coups down the line.

Yeah, being princess of all of Equestria is definitely harder than it looks.
