A young man named James was out biking one day and was suddenly transported to Equestria. The next day, a timid, yellow pony known as Fluttershy found him in the Everfree Forest and brings him to Ponyville. Will he take it all in calmly, and get the adventure of a lifetime? Will he ever get back to his original home?

Rey is an unfortunate soul, prone to bullying, humiliation, and downright BAD LUCK, but he keeps a positive attitude, never letting his bad luck or rotten situation damper his optimism, until recently that is. Things go from bad to worse and just when things couldn't look any bleaker, a goddess appears before this crestfallen man but magic is tricky, even the purest intentions can go wrong, if you care to find out how, this is his story.

Ever wonder what Equestria's past was like? How did Celestia and Luna come to rule? And what made their rule a time of peace? Well I may have had something to do with that.

Name's Zack. I appeared in Equestria over 3000 years before the show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" takes place. For whatever reason, a few months after my arrival, I was transported to the modern day Ponyville. What happened? Are the Princesses mad at me for disappearing like I did? I only helped establish the greatest country this world has ever seen and then vanished.

That... sounded more innocent in my head. Uh oh...

Edit May 24th 2017: IMPORTANT! I am currently rewriting the entire story and with that, many details and aspects are set to change. As such, it will essentially be an entirely new story, meaning this version of Past, Present, and Future is technically Cancelled. There will be no more chapter updates until I finish the rewrite, meaning that this version will not have a proper ending. If it's requested enough, I may do some kind of Cliffnotes version of how the rest of the story was meant to play out, but for right now just know that if you start reading this version, you will not get an ending. He never wanted to be a part of anything illegal; even if he didn't have much love for ponies. He was just some guy. Some cynic that happened to live his life in Equestria, trying to live his day to day life in relative comfort and minimal contact with ponies. But through after some coaxing from his friends (read as blackmail) he was forced to attempt to steal the royal crowns from the palace and caught in the act. However, given a chance to redeem himself, the thief is offered the choice to become Princess Celestia's royal attendant.

With little other choice, this would be thief's life is turned on it's head. And now instead of a steady inconspicuous life, filled with ease and mediocrity, his life is now one of warmth, excitement, and a friendship that can only be forged once a thief begins honoring the sun.

Sarah Jordan has had a rough life, and it's about to get rougher. Her job with ARCO has her jumping between dimensions to generate cheap energy and bring back new ideas. But when her inter-dimensional transport explodes, dropping her on the edge of the Everfree Forest, things quickly go from bad to worse.

Equestria's origins are long forgotten, as well as its most powerful weapon, but when three stallions, unknown even to Princess Celestia appear in the middle of an elite forces camp questions are raised. One, the earth pony, appears to be silent, but his sheer size and strength speak for him enough, another, a unicorn, seems to be quite laid back and pretty self-centered, but he can hold his own with powerful magic that rivals and possibly surpasses the combat skill of Captain Shining Armor, finally the third, a pegasus, apperently the oldest and leader of the three remembers something about his past, more in particular, somepony. Follow the three on a journey that will tell them who they were, where they will be going and finally who they were really meant to be.
Starting with a prologue that goes over a lot of things and explains enough to you so you don't get lost in the actual story.
Alternate Universe tag because it follows the canon story line of events all the way until 'Magical Mystery Cure' No Twilicorn.

My name is Aedan and I'm your average run-of-the-mill guy from Missouri. I served in the Marine Corps for about four years, now I've been out for a year and I'm making a living on the edge of St. Louis. It's not the best of conditions for a guy like me to have to deal with, but I adapt and overcome. Then one Saturday morning on my daily jog I ran into something (well in truth she ran into me) I'd never thought possible. She calls herself 'Princess Luna'. She's alone and confused, but most of all, she wants to go home. And guess who the poor guy is that decided to help her.

One last ship. A single set of coordinates. I have no idea where they will take me, but there isn't anything else left for me here. Although, the 'Magic of Friendship' is a strange name for a space ship. I'm changing that to the 'Millennium Falcon' the first chance I get!
