It all seemed to be finished, Sunset Shimmer had been defeated by a magic rainbow laser, and she tearfully apologized and said she wanted to learn a new way through friendship and Twilight asked her new friends to help the defeated bully to learn while she and Spike returned with the crown to Equestria, after celebrating the formal of course. When the formal ended Twilight said goodbye to her friends and she and Spike stepped through the portal to return home, only to walk into the statue. They missed their chance and were trapped in the human world.

With no known way home and unable to communicate with their friends the two Equestrians have to adjust to earth life while searching for a way to reopen the portal while dealing with a repentant Sunset Shimmer.

Upon being discovered that Twilight Sparkle of Crystal Prep had been unwillingly harvesting magic from the Rainbooms at Canterlot High, the rest of her peers at Crystal Prep decided to seize the opportunity and make her unleash all of that gathered magic against their opponents.

However, magic is an untamable oddity, and when she released it all against the Canterlot High Wondercolts, Twilight became consumed by it and changed drastically.

In more ways than one...

Sunset Shimmer did many things in her life she wasn't proud of. Things that made her feel ashamed of her past and herself. She helped fight off the Sirens, "The Dazzlings", as they were known during the Battle of the Bands. Perhaps the former Unicorn could finally find happiness... right?

Anon-a-Miss happened. An unknown user of MyStable started posting secrets about every student at CHS. Sunset received the blame. Punished for a crime she didn't commit.

Nobody believed her, not even the Rainbooms. The group of friends she thought of as exactly that... her best friends. Her family. Princess Twilight couldn't be reached, either.

Was she destined to be alone? The Magic of Friendship nothing more than a mere lie?

It hurt; the pain of betrayal ran deep.

But, no matter how dark it is, there will always be a new dawn on the horizon.

After being abandoned by her friends during christmas, Sunset Shimmer wanders the cold streets of town, alone, and with nowhere to go. After walking for hours, she eventually gives into the elements around her, only to be saved at the last second by the last ones she ever thought would help her.

Meanwhile, the truth about Anon-A-Miss has come out, and her five friends are desperately trying to find her so they can apologize for what they have done.

Bored due to there being nothing for her to do, as no Friendship Problems have arisen that have needed her help, Twilight decides to visit her Canterlot High friends and see what's going on.

However, something goes wrong and the portal closes, leaving Twilight stuck on the other side. That's fine though. She can just hang out with her friends and wait it out.

However, it won't be that simple. Though she turned into a human like normal when she arrived, Twilight is now about 6 to 7-years-old and it seems she has access to her magic as if she were still an Alicorn. The human world isn't prepared for this.

AU universe where Friendship Games happened before the Season 5 finale, so Twilight's human self is already transferred into CHS, but pony Twilight has yet to go with Fluttershy on their Friendship Mission.

Rated Everyone for now, but may change it to teen depending on future chapters

Note: Twilight didn't see Sunset's messages in this AU due to them coming whilst she and the girls being away dealing with Starlight, followed by how much she'd been avoiding her castle in the following episode.

Spike is the reason the messages never got answered though, due to Big Mac accidentally knocking the book of it's place on the machine whilst he and Spike were in the library, Spike not being there in time to see it glowing to indicate messages being received, so he just placed it back on there without a thought.

Growing up in an orphanage is hard for Sunset Shimmer. Though she looks like a unicorn, she has some striking differences. The foals bully and harass her because of her looks.

One day Sunset has an "incident" that destroys the orphanage. This catches the attention of Princess Celestia who takes her in and adopts her as a daughter.

While living as the princess' adoptive daughter, Sunset encounters another strange pony named Twilight Sparkle who looks strikingly different from herself. The two bond over their unusual natures

On the longest day of the longest year, Nightmare Moon attacks.

The two strange flee the only place they know to an odd town on the edge of the Everfree Forest known as Ponyville where they meet others as strange as them. They must work together to find a way to defeat Nightmare Moon and save Princess Celestia.

While exploring the decrepit remains of the Castle of Friendship, Sunny Starscout and her friends discover a strange book that might have belonged to Princess Twilight Sparkle herself. The book's contents resemble a series of letters that were apparently sent back and forth between Twilight and an unknown party.

At some point, Twilight stopped responding.

After the events of the Summer Sun Celebration, Sunset is adjusting fairly well to Ponyville life. Somethings are way more difficult to get used to than she originally thought but has her friends. When Sunset is given six tickets to the grand galloping gala, she is less than enthused but her friends don't understand why she hates the gala but will quickly find out why.

It started off simply enough, Applejack's embarrassing childhood nickname. Everyone had one, Sunset's was Little Firestarter. The group ignored it, even when students take it a step forward and start teasing the farmer about it.

However the next day, after a sleepover at Rarity's involved all of them dressing up in silly costumes the fashionista had made, things got worse. Those pictures were posted online, and the poster, Anon-A-Miss, also left derogatory comments.

Those pictures came from Sunset's phone, but she doesn't remember posting them. What's going on?
