Celestia is gone. No-one knows how, or why. But all Luna knows is that it was Celestia's wish for her to take the throne of Equestria by herself, and continue to rule in her absence.
But Luna refuses to accept that Celestia is gone. She feels like she will fail, and that her sister will not love her anymore. But all it takes is a voice in the wind for her doubt to disappear.

Applebloom is tired of being treated like a filly! She's a big pony, darn it! She wants the respect of her brother and sister, so she decides to take a drink of something definitely not meant for fillies. What happens afterward will convince her to never touch her brother's apple whisky ever again.

The following piece was written before season 3 and I'm not going back to change it, because this story flies in the face of canon anyway. The cutie mark crusaders want to be grown-up mares like Applebloom's big sister, Applejack.
So when Applebloom finds out that Applejack has a secret cider stash, and Applejack tells her it's "For adults only" the crusaders decide that if they drink it, they'll be adults too. What could possibly go wrong?
