A prequel/sequel to Tales of the Oppressed. (Yes, it's somehow both. Time travel is screwy)

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Equestrian Allied Forces, Sombra has been defeated. The country of Equestria once again returns to the peaceful state it used to be. Seth Rogers and Rainbow Dash, the couple brought together as a result of the grueling war, finally fulfill their promise to one another and depart on their cross-country flight.

But what of Amaryllis, the one girl who served as an emotional anchor for Seth? According to Seth's perception of the timeline, she should have been able to live out her life in peace. However, Seth and Rainbow make a discovery that suggests that this might not have been the case...

This is a mostly human-centric story focusing upon Amaryllis, with the intent of expanding and clarifying the universe established in Tales of the Oppressed. While my intent is to make it understandable even to new readers, it is recommended that Tales of the Oppressed be read first.

The story ( while technically complete ) will be labeled as incomplete. I'm also adding a new scene and I'm thinking of adding non-canon endings but as of now, misspellings, grammar mistakes, multiple POVs, and any other areas that need fixing will be my main focus for this. I'm willing to bet that a lot of Bronies would love to visit the land of Equestria; if only to see it. I sorta got that wish... instead I find myself in a human variant of it known as Arcania in the Krystal Kingdom. Not that I'm complaining of course, the day I got raptured over here was a College day anyway.

(My first foray into fan fiction and probably my only one, let me know what you think and how I can improve! Unsure about the rating, I'll leave it teen for now. I eventually plan to turn this into an Epic, so hopefully my storytelling skills will improve significantly before then. Also I use a lot of pictures in my story to offset my sucky descriptive skills, so props to the artists and what not!)

My name is Seth Rogers. I'm a simple college student trying to get a degree so I can land a good job. However all of that goes out the metaphorical door when I encounter a strange man adorned in half-plate armor. Before I know it, I'm in an unknown land filled with ridiculous looking ponies colored every shade of the rainbow. Or all of them, in one case.

I want them to stay as far away from me as physically possible.

This is a Human in Equestria story with shounen elements. The twist is this: the main character, a bitter and troubled young man who doesn't believe in kindness or friendship, experiences the very same lessons that we have in the process of watching this incredible show. Can the ponies we all know and love help Seth become a better person?

Another thing that I must point out is that the show does not exist in the human world. Stay tuned, as character development is the goal of the whole story.
