> My player number 2 > by Candy-Sweets_12 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "She'll love it," the store keeper said with a smile. "Thanks!" Button Mash exclaimed, paying for the ring. As he trotted his way home, he decided it wouldn't hurt to stop by his mom's house. "Why, hello Button!" she said, apparently surprised, even though she saw him everyday. She looked to the box in his bag, smiling up to him."I'm guessing you haven't asked her yet." "Well," the stallions started, "...no, but we don't have our anniversary date for another few hours." he quickly explained, blush tinging his cheeks. Button's mother, now slightly aged, looked at her young stallion, how did her video gaming, slightly annoying son turn into a video game programmer fixing to propose to the mare of his dreams? Slightly tearing up a bit, she smiled. "Don't let me stop you then," she started, fixing to turn back to her housekeeping. "wouldn't want you to keep her waiting any longer than she needs to. " she couldn't help but to chuckle at the last line, knowing he'd blush from it. "Well, I've got a little time to spare," the young stallion hinted, stepping a bit further towards her. Smiling, she turned for the house, leading him to the kitchen. It felt like ages since he'd been inside. He looked towards his old room, recalling how he spent countless hours with Sweetie Belle playing a variety of videogames. As of now, it seemed untouched, as though he'd never left it, like the two were merely sitting behind the door playing multiplayer games again. "Remember how we met?" Button asked referring to Sweetie Belle. "Do I ever!" she exclaimed, her smile growing. Button sat down at the kitchen table. "You wouldn't stop talking about it for hours." she chuckled. "I remember it like it was yesterday..." Button began anyway, choosing to ignore the last comment. Hiis mother sat down with two glasses of milk, a plate of previously made sugar cookies following soon after. "U-um..." a wavering voice began. "H-hello? Button, right?" He was alone, perched against a tree trunk with his saddlebag. He didn't expect anyone to acknowledge him, usually it'd be another couple of hours or so before his mother would pull him away from his games. That or he simply grew frustrated with a level. Despite this, the colt didn't flinch, doing his best to get to a good stopping point. As the level finally reached its end, he paused his joyboy and made sure to save it, not wanting to reverse his five hour and thirty-six minute progress. "Hey Sweetie Belle," he greeted, sitting the device to the side, glancing up to her. "I've noticed that you weren't really playing with anyone," the filly started, " and my friends are with their sisters, and mine can't really-" she paused, furrowing her brows. Was he even listening? Why was he staring at her like that? She waved a hoof in front of his face, "Are...you ok?" she wondered. When she didn't recieve an immediate response she shifted her eyes away from his, for a moment, looking to see if anypony else was around. Button was far too dumbfounded by the filly to notice, now that she was up close. He'd always seen her and her friends from a distance, he never cared to pay the trio much mind, he had much more important feats to conquer and battles to win. But now, he never realized how distinct the filly was. 'Her voice is so cute,' he thought, it always had a habit of sticking out, he never could place why. 'and her mane looks like it's made from sweet, cotton candy!' Indeed it did, large curls of rosy pink and and pastel purple shades hung about her face and neck, compliimenting the contrasting green of 'Such beautiful emerald eyes'. He then noticed how she had a look on her face that made her look as though she were talking to a crazy pony. "Maybe I'll just go see what Rarity's doing," she started, beginning to back away. Instantly snapping from his trance, he did his best to trace what she had said, finally recalling how she mentioned she was alone. "Wait!" he started, surprising her. She turned back to him, surprised he'd finally responded. He picked up his gaming system, "Do you wanna play on my Joy Boy?" Sweetie Belle smiled, relief washing over her. She thought she broke him somehow for a minute. She came over to where he sat, leaning over his shoulder to see. He handed the device to her, which she took with reluctance, looking up to him. "Are you sure?" she asked. "I don't really know how to play," "It's easy! Look, push that switch," he started. She glanced down to him, while he signaled for her to try it. She glanced to the gadget, sitting next to him. How did he spend hours at a time with this thing? She'd have expected far more buttons, and perhaps a game without such a simple character displayed in pixels. "Like...this?" she questioned, doing as he suggested. He nodded. "That's to move around, and the this button," he pointed to a large red one, "is meant to jump, while the blue one lets you attack." "It's a fighting game?" she asked. "There's fighting in it. When you come across enemies." "Enemies like what?" The colt began to go on about a variety of enemies, talking about their strengths and their weaknesses, the ones that annoyed him most and the super easy ones. Sweetie could only listen, one question leading into a whole new discussion of things. While Apple Bloom and Scootaloo might've found it boring, Button seemed so passionate in the way he spoke, something about the way is eyes lit up felt contagious, she couldn't help but to listen, doing as he suggested. A whole new world of digital games were opening up to her. She never really played one intently like this before, she never knew there was such a big world behind one little game and character. "So I should avoid the purple potions right?" "You can take them if you press 'X', " Button explained. "You can throw them at enemies by hitting 'X' again." After a run-down of the controls, a sort of silence fell over the two, both watching the miniature screen with a new intensity. 'She's actually pretty good for a beginner,' he thought, he was surprised by how entranced she was with it, a focused look on her face. She only paused once he leaned in a bit too close, trying to see one of the enemies she came across. "You can have it back," she blushed. She hadn't realized how much time she spent with it, surely he was hinting that she was taking too long with it. "It's alright," he reassured her. He reached into his saddlebag, taking out another device, "Do you...maybe wanna play a game together?" Sweetie smiled, nodding. By the time he had another set up, and the devices were synced, Sweetie Belle couldn't take her eyes off of the screen. 'Her technique is incredible!' he thought to himself, he must've told her one too many secrets. She was a fast learner. Even if she didn't win all of the rounds, she still managed to wipe the floor with his favourite character, while she just so happened to pick one of the strongest characters the game had to offer. Here he thought Super Smash Pones might've been a bit adavanced for a beginner like her, but he was clearly proven wrong. Eventually, one of the devices died out, prompting a synchronized moan from the two. Sweetie Belle sighed, giving him his device back. "Thanks for playing with me, that was actually really fun." "Well, we don't have to stop," he suggested. "Do you have another one?" she asked. "I wish. I was thinking we could try and play tag or something. My legs are kind of stiff anyway, and my Mom will kill me if she finds out I've been playing video games all day." "Well, they are kind of addictive," Sweetie started. "I know! But she always says 'It never hurts to excersize too, Button'." he mimicked. Sweetie chuckled at his impression, it wasn't a bad for imiataing a mare. She then softened, "I wish I could," Sweetie began, "But I should be on my way home, Rarity's probably wondering where I am." "Oh," he started. He was hoping this wouldn't be so short lived, he never had a friend that would play and listen as eagerly as she had. He actually had a lot of fun playing with her. He never played his multiplayer games with anyone else other than his brother or Mom. "But...maybe we can go get a milkshake tomorrow?" Sweetie suggested, looking up for reassurance. Smiling to his heart's contempt, he almost instantly asked, "What time?" He then perked up. Now that time was on th mind, he quickly realized how late it was. He was always supposed to be home by sunset, his Mom always took his games away otherwise. But now he couldn't just up and leave right now, though. He tapped his hoof as she pondered a time to set, mumbling to herself. "...and we should be done crusading by 3 o'clock tomorrow..." she finally said. Glad to have some sort of note to end on, he snatched up his saddlebag, and turned away. "Sure! Seey you at 3!" "Wait!" she started. He paused, stopping in his tracks. "Yeah?" "I have to help Rarity with something tomorrow after that." "Oh," Button started, flushing at his eagerness. "Sorry," "It's okay, I guess it is kind of late." "Yeah," "Maybe we can meet at 3:30 or so?" she tried. He smiled. "Alright, perfect. Guess I'll see you tomorrow, then?" "It's a date." The two ran off, Button going as fast as his hooves could carry him. He couldn't help but smile, 'A friend,' he'd never made one so easily before. He must've seemed like such a geek to her! How could he go on about all those things for so long. Thankfully she was really nice about it. He continued his self-scolding as he approached his home, earning another from his mother. Little did he know that the same filly he just talked to was scolding herself. 'You idiot, what if he gets the wrong idea? What if he wants to be my special somepony?' Why oh why did she have to say, 'It's a date,'? Why not 'See you then?' or 'Can't wait?'. She masked a groan. 'Stop it Sweetie Belle,' she told herself. 'You're probably just overthinking things again. He probably doesn't even feel like that. Even if he were to, it wouldn't be that big of a deal, he could always be let down easy.' She shook her head. What was she thinking? 'We're just friends and nothing more.' "...So that's how I met my future fiancée'." Button sighed as he took one last bite. He glanced to a nearby clock. "I should probably get going I don't want to be late for her." "Remember to have fun, and relax Button," she reminded him. "I know how you get at the last minute," "I know, I know," he smiled. He'd been told a thousand times."I'll be alright, Mom," "Good. Then be sure to tell me every detail when she says yes." she added reassuringly. Button hugged her and trotted to his home. She couldn't help to stare as her baby colt walked out the house, now a fiull-grown stallion.. "They grow up so fast." she whispered, tears welled in her eyes. An "I love you, my little Button Mash." escaped humgonian tongue. 'Sweetie Belle doesn't like to go overboard, and if I can get the food in time....' Button rushed off to Sugarcube Corner, where he confronted Mr. and Mrs. Cake. "Oh, hello Button," Mrs. Cake smiled, turning to the stallion. She had laugh lines at her eyes, though they still help their friendly charm, even complimented the slightly bleached tints within streaks of her mane. "What would you like to order today?" A full basket of double chocolate chip cookies, chocolate and vanilla milkshake, and a few cream-filled pastries were ordered, Sweetie's favorites. "Must be a pretty special occasion to have all of those treats," Mr. Cake said with an eyebrow raised, peeking in from the kitchen. Inside, Pound Cake was seen pounding dough at a counter, apparently studying his textbook at the same time. It'd be a miracle if he weren't to get flour in it. "Yep," the stallion agreed, "By any chance do you know a way for me to get these to the park in one pie-" He stopped quite abruptly one he was nearly knocked over by Pumpkin, her pigtails flying out and about. "Pound!!" the teenage mare exclaimed. The yound stallion surely must've done something to set her off, her horn buzzed with a blue glow. Seeing the fiasco fixing to ensue, the mare, having little energy after such a busy day, glanced to the stallion, a slight tinge of blush on her cheeks. "How about I come with you?" she offered. Besides, at least now she could prevent an accident,he knew about how much trouble Button could get himself in, ever since his toy train mysteriously caught fire. The event made headlines. Button agreed, maybe she could shed some advice about the topic, after all, she and Mr. Cake were amonf some of the first ponies that'd pop into his head whenever he thought of the subject. Leaving a slightly annoyed Mr. Cake to dealing with the twins, the two trotted along to the park together, each bearing their own load. There was somewhat of a comfortable silence between the duo, mostly due to the baskets the two, being earth ponies, carried in their mouths. Finally, coming to a stopping point, the elder's curiosity tended to peak about the setting. "Button," she asked, "If you don't mind my asking, what made your decision to do all this for Sweetie Belle? I know you've been together a while, but why all this now?" "I don't mind," the stallion smiled, reaching into his saddlebag. "I knew that Sweetie and I were meant to be once we went to the Gala." "The Gala?" Mrs. Cake echoed, preparing to be launched into full detail about it. Sweetie and Button had been officially dating for a month, or at least, a month, two weeks, and three days. Despite this, the two were practically joined at the hip. If ever they weren't seen with family or their friends, they were likely to be spotted sharing lunch or eating treats, or perhaps in an arcade or playing some sort of game. Sometimes they'd even go as far as to take walks and go to resturants, though with all due respect, the behaviour was present even before the two offically dayed. They were almost as inseparable as BigMac and Cheerilee when they were under the love potion... Almost. Even when Sweetie was a mare's maid at their wedding, it truly surprised no one that Button was the one to escort her. But now, with the Gala fresh on everyone's minds, any couple that was any couple was expected to go. And for once deciding to hold true to their society's expectations, Button wanted to ask Sweetie Belle, 'What if she's busy, though? Or she wouldn't even want to go? ' he wondered. He knew she'd say otherwise, but the thought still nagged at him. Sweetie Belle was approaching, turning a corner with an oblivious smile. It seemed as though the Gala had been moved to his stomach, held exclusively by butterflies. "Hey Button," she greeted, a cheerful note in her voice. " Hey, Sweetie Belle, um, d-do you..would you by any chance want to..." his words stretched. "To... what?" Sweetie giggled. He chickened out. "Want to go to the park this weekend?" She rose a brow, not expecting his response"Um... sure? Isn't the Gala this weekend, though? Don't you want to go?" "Well, do you want to go?" Button asked, trying to conceal his relief. "Only if you're there." she grinned. "If we're not interrupting your mushy make-out, we want to know if Sweetie Belle can go to the Gala with us," an orange pegasus interupted, she blew a tuft of mauve from her violet eyes. "Sorry guys, but Button already asked me." Sweetie shrugged. "Who do we go with then?" a red head earth pony asked. "Scoots, can't you go with... you know who?" Sweetie giggled. The pegasus blushed, "He wouldn't want to ask me, I'm not really the date tyle, y'know?" she quickly replied, adopting mumble to her voice. "Ya' can always ask him yourself, unless you're too ...chicken to." Scootaloo hated when ponies called her that, "I'll only do it if you ask YOUR crush." she quickly shot back. Apple Bloom stuttered, a pink that could put her bows to shame came to her face, prompting Scootaloo to smirk. "No way, now that ain't fair." The two walked off to where they could continue their conversation, -without interrupting any further. "Maybe I should sort that out, before things get out of hoof, see you Friday?" "I'll be there." Button confirmed. Sweetie ran off, while Button turned for home. As the secene replayed in his head, the originally banished butterflies made a return, prompting him to sweat. She actually wanted to go? Was she waiting to be asked? How long had she wanted this? What should he do? What should he wear? What if he messed it all up. "What have I gotten myself into?" he wondered aloud. By that time, the set up had been perfected, a blanket strewn about the grass, treats sktting perfectly in respective places, awaiting hungry mouths. Looking to the sun's descent, Mrs. Cake sighed, doing her best to prepare for the inevitable mess and scolding to dish out. "As much as I'd like to hear more, Button, I need to get back to the shop and see that the kitchen's still intact. Good luck with your proposal, dear." she said with a smile. "How'd you know?" Button asked. "I never mentioned it to you, did I?" "Well, it was quite obvious, you did say it was special, and I can always tell is someone's hiding something from me. Not to mention I saw the case in the basket," she chuckled. "You're good." Button said. With another chuckle, Mrs. Cake started to Sugarcube Corner. Leaving the stallion to wait. And there Button sat, lying against the roots of a rather familiar tree, a smile on his face from it's nostalgic presence. > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Thanks for coming over girls," Sweetie Belle said gratefully, "I never was good with this type of thing." She said as her two best friends prepared her for her anniversary. "Yeah, remember how we had to come help you prepare for you first date?" Scootaloo smirked. Blushing, Sweetie Belle said "speaking of, how was your date yesterday with Rumble?" "Pretty good, and how was your date last week with Pipsqueak?" Scootaloo said to a blushing Apple Bloom. "It was so romantic, he said my dress really brought out the color of my cutiemark." The Cmc all had their cutie marks, but it never ended their friendship, in fact, it made it better. They got it on the same day, Scootaloo getting hers from doing amazing tricks for the crowd she was performing in and rewarded with a wheel with a purple lighting rod coming from it with a orange wing on each side. Apple bloom getting hers from building and designing the stage that was used for the performance, and getting an apple in a blossom being painted from red to green with a paint brush. And Sweetie Belle getting hers from singing to the crowd, earning hers as a bell with a heart next to it. "Speakin' of which, can ya'll tell us how your first date went again whiles we finish you up?" Apple Bloom asked. It had been two years since they first met, and Button and Sweetie Belle took a deeper step into their relationship. The day before being asked out, Diamond Tiara was pestering the former cmc about their colt friends. "Two years, since you've been hiding your secret relationship from your class mates, probably to busy obsessing over your lame and boring cutie marks." She teased. "Leave her alone" Apple Bloom said in an annoyed expression, ever since they had their Cutecenera the week before, Diamond Tiara tried to find new ways to get under their skin. But the cmc had changed over the years, Scootaloo was now able to fly(since her parents allowed Rainbow Dash to give her private sessions) Sweetie Belle was now able to use her magic, and Apple Bloom would always just make a quick and even better remark back. Silver Spoon eventually stopped hanging out with Diamond Tiara, and became friends with the cmc, but Diamond hadn't let it go. Ever since she saw the cmc and 3 other colts playing around with each other, she found a whole new field to test the three with. "It's never too early to start planning your career choices, and those 'coltfriends' of ours are just really close friends." Angry that her attempt at breaking their spirit had failed, Diamond shouted out "I give up! "As she marched out the classroom as soon as the bell rang, signaling the beginning of summer. Meeting up out side, the six fillies and colts ran to Sugarcube Corner to celebrate. The next day Sweetie and Button Mash scheduled a meet up which they'd play MineCraft every Saturday. As Sweetie Belle once again jumped into a portal, Button Mash paused with a sigh and looked at his first true friend. "Sweetie Belle", he asked, she paused as well as he looked into her eyes. 'She has the most beautiful eyes,' he thought, as he began to get lost within them. "There's something I've wanted to tell you, these past two years with you have made me happy to call you my friend," Sweetie didn't show it, but she was nervous, 'is he going to ask me to marry him? 'She then felt ashamed that she was thinking such thoughts, as if a 15 year old colt would do that type of thing, she felt so guilty of thinking so little of him. "Sweetie Belle, will you..." he said blushing all the while, which eventually spread to Sweetie. "go out with me?" Sweetie Belle was so shocked, she could hardly speak as she blushed. Button's confident smile faded, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked, if you want to stop being friends-" "Yes." "-I totally respect tha-, wa-wa-wait what?" "Yes!" she said giving him a giant hug. "Really? Wow! How about tonight, at 8:30 I'll swing by Rarity's. " Ok. Sweetie said, she grabbed her laptop, and stuffed it in her saddlebag. "Wait, why are you leaving? It's 3 o'clock in the afternoon. "I have to tell Rarity," She said as though it were obvious. "Oh, well, I'll meet you there!" "Ow!" Sweetie exclaimed as Rarity pulled the brush one final time through her hair. "Beauty hurts Sweetie." Rarity simply remarked." Apple Bloom, are you finished with that final touch yet?" Apple Bloom took the job as Rarity's apprentice ever since she got her cutiemark, "So that one day," she explained, "When ah' open my own shop, ah' can have the experience." Scootaloo had taught Sweetie Belle a few simple moves for dancing, and though she was rusty, she got the hang of it soon enough. "What if we don't even go dancing?" Sweetie whined. "Ya can never be too sure." Apple Bloom said. "Thanks for your help girls, I really needed it." Sweetie said. "No problem, now one more touch' 'Rarity said as she added a little blush, for Sweetie had asked her not to go overboard. "Overboard!" she had said," Why would I go overboard on your first date? Honestly Sweetie, even I didn't want to do such a thing." "Ok, annnnnnnnd done!" Apple Bloom said. "Here you go" she gave the dress to Sweetie. Slipping it on as carefully as possible, Sweetie asked "How do I look?" Rarity stood there, tears in her eyes "Beautiful." she said. Not wanting to have a remake of when she heard the news earlier, saying that Sweetie was growing up so fast. And when she found out that it was a semiformal thing, she called Sweetie's friends over, and they made a beautiful but simple dress. It stopped at her hooves, and it showed her cutie mark, the collar was a slightly darker shade of green, had a thin sheet of translucent green fabric trailing from behind it. She had a bit of eye shadow, that tinted her eye lids a very light, hardly visible, shade of green. "What were you working on?" Sweetie asked Apple Bloom. She grinned. "Stand in the light." Sweetie did as ordered, and was astonished, her dress seemed to glow an aura of light green. "How did you do that?!" Sweetie asked as she looked in the mirror" "Ah've got mah secrets." She said. Right out the door, Button stood in a simple tuxedo, and a bouquet of the best flowers he could find. 'Ok Button, you'll give her the flowers, take her out to dinner, and go dancing. You've got this, you are a warrior of Hirule.' He knocked on the door, and hardly being able to contain herself, Rarity answered the door. "Hello, Button," "Hi Rarity." "you look charming." "Thank you." Rarity moved to the side and Button saw Sweetie's friends. "Hey guys. Where's Sweetie Belle?" "She went to the bathroom, c'mon sit down." Button sat down and felt awkward, eager to say something, Button said "I like those new dresses." Button said truthfully, this softened Rarity's overprotective cover a bit. "Well I'm glad that you like them." Was all she stated. Button turned around and found him face to face with Scootaloo. "Since Rarity hasn't done it yet, we don't want her coming home with a broken heart, got that?" Button stared as he saw another side to Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and suddenly Rarity that he never saw before, he then felt like he was staring in the face of a Endermare. "Don't worry, I won't hurt her in any way." Their faces softened as soon as they heard a door opening, "I'm ready!" Sweetie Belle said. Button looked at her, and his mouth dropped. This earned him several giggles from the girls. "W-wow! You look more beautiful then Princess Zelda!" At this Sweetie blushed, flattered. "Ya'll best be goin'." Apple Bloom said. With that Button remembered the flowers in his mouth, and gave it to a once again, flattered, blushing Sweetie Belle. "Good bye everyone! See you at ten!" Sweetie said. Five minutes after walking, Sweetie finds a restaurant where tons of formal ponies are waiting in line. She followed Button right past them and saw a few angry glances glance her way. The pony by the door let them in, and from the corner of her line she saw angry ponies. She even saw Diamond Tiara, who was waiting in line. "Button? Is this a good idea?" "Don't worry, my aunt used to work and bring me here, so I get free meals of my choice. Another but much shorter line awaited them and soon they were escorted to a fancy table. "Button, you didn't have to do this all for me." Sweetie said, "A nice picnic would've been fine." "Don't worry about it, Button said, now what would you like?" After taking their order the waiter went off to get their appetizers, and Sweetie and Button talked about their future careers, how Sweetie Belle wanted to sing professionally, and how Button wanted to make and play video games with computer programs. They talked about story lines of their favorite games, songs, and told each other finally about their feelings they've been hiding. Sweetie Belle admitted that she didn't realize about how much she thought about Button and how much she liked being with him. And Button admitted that he admired Sweetie and her knowledge of gaming since day one. By the time they finished their main meal, Button looked at his watch. "Come on let's go." He said. Button took Sweetie to the park, where there seemed to be ponies dancing under the gazebo. Button led Sweetie there and he held out his hoof. Willingly, Sweetie danced with Button, letting the wind through the trees and the chirping of crickets lead them. "... And then we went out for milkshakes at Sugarcube corner." Sweetie said with a sigh. "You must really love him don't ya?" Scootaloo said. "Why do you ask?" "Well ya just went into full detail, and really must 'a cherished the time with him." Apple Bloom stated. "I'd be surprised if he didn't pop the question tonight, any day now he could be giving you that ring." Scootaloo said. 'They could be right,' Sweetie thought to herself, ever since they finished school and Rarity and FancyPants married, Button seemed like he was anxious for something, waiting for the right moment... Sweetie grinned. It was her turn to mess with her friends. "I guess that I have to say the same about Rumble and Pipsqueak," Scootaloo blushed ferociously, and Apple Bloom looked embarrassed. Sweetie continued, "You and Rumble have been dating for what? Three years now?" "That's a personal thing! And it's six years." Scootaloo shot back. "And don't you think that Pipsqueak is going to ask you since he pops by Sweet Apple Acres everyday?" Sweetie teased with a smile. "Well..." Apple Bloom simply said. "Oh, relax girls, just don't tease my relationship, and I won't tease yours." They breathed a sigh of relief. "Sorry, now I think that your ready for your date." Apple Bloom smiled. "Ah' still can't believe that ya'll been dating for eight years, so much has happened in those years, with our sisters and their friends getting married, the new castle, our nieces and nephews, oh Sweetie Belle," she said. "Ah' can't wait until it's your turn to settle down." "And I can't wait for yours" Sweetie Belle said. "I'd best be going, I'll tell you girls all about it as soon as it's over."Sweetie waved to her friends as she approached the park. 'What if they are right? He might pop the question, but will I be ready? Stop it Sweetie Belle, you're not twelve anymore, of course you're ready, you love Button Mash, so if he asks you'll be willing to marry him-if he asks that is. Look at yourself, talking like the great and powerful Trixie used to. You need to pull yourself togeth-' There she saw Button with a picnic basket on top of the hill where they met. "Hi Sweetie Belle." > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hello Button." Sweetie smiled. She sat next to him on the blanket and stared at the sunset he was now facing. "This is the hill where we first met." Sweetie gasped. Button smiled he loved to surprise Sweetie Belle. 'The look of excitement on her face the way her eyes seemed to sparkle, and how a little spark would come from her horn if he really surprised her.' "Button you didn't have to do all this, time our date to the most beautiful sunset," She reached into the basket and pulled out a plate of cookies. "buy my favorite treats", she said as she said as she looked into the basket. She looked at the stars that were starting to come out. "take me star gazing on the most beautiful place in Equestria." Sweetie loved everything Button had done for her, but this was the most romantic to her, by a landslide. The fireflies were poking there heads out as Sweetie and Button engaged into a conversation. Button talking about his latest accomplishments, and the new promotion he's been awarded. Sweetie talked about how her singing career had taken her to several cities and towns. And how the tickets would always sell out within two days. But Sweetie mentioned how she always loves coming home in the end. "I don't blame anypony for wanting to hear your voice." Button said. This made Sweetie blush. They talked more and more until all of the treats were gone, and looked up to the sky. They looked at the little shapes. And Button was nervous as ever, hoping that Sweetie will notice it. "What's that?" Sweetie started to notice some of the stars move and take shape, Until it formed a sentence. Sweetie gasped with tears in her eyes, she looked at Button, who was at his knees now. "Sweetie Belle, you've made me the happiest stallion in the whole world, you're voice is like it came from an angel's, you're sweeter than cotton candy, and you have amazing gaming skills. You've helped me realize my true self, and have been my first real and true friend. Will you give me the honor of marrying you?" Button said as he held out the ring. It was a gold band with a diamond that resembled the ones in minecraft. Sweetie stood, her hoof over her mouth. Just when Button thought she would say no: Yes! Yes! A million times yes! Sweetie said as she kissed Button square on the lips. Button was shocked, but happy. He was going to marry the most beautiful mare in the world. Sweetie and Button gathered their families and friends the next day. "Button and I have a special announcement," She looked at her fiancée. "We're getting married!" They shouted. Everyone gasped in glee. Stallions were giving Button a pat on the back, while mares and fillies were embracing Sweetie Belle with hugs. "You're a lucky stallion." Sweetie's dad said as he nearly knocked a nervous Button over on his hooves. "Thanks." Button said. "Oh, I should start making the dresses, get the dress sizes of your bridesmaids, get you a beautiful dress for your dream wedding..." Rarity ranted on and on until stopped by Sweetie. "I'd love to make you the dressmaker, but please don't go overboard." Sweetie said. "Why of course. This is your wedding, you're the bride. Not me. Oh, my little sister is getting married," Rarity said with tears bubbling to the surface. "Mommy? Are you ok? Aren't you happy for Aunt Sweetie Belle?" Rarity's youngest daughter said. "Of course, mommy's just crying happy tears is all." Rarity said. "So everything is set huh?" Sweetie said. As she looked at Button after setting down the last box. "Yep," Button said. "I can't believe that the wedding is a month away." Sweetie said with a sigh. "I'm happy that we'll be living together now." Button said as he stared at the house that took him and Sweetie Belle three months to buy. "Anything for my player number one," Sweetie said. "And anything for my player number two." Button said in reply.
