Ever wonder what Equestria's past was like? How did Celestia and Luna come to rule? And what made their rule a time of peace? Well I may have had something to do with that.

Name's Zack. I appeared in Equestria over 3000 years before the show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" takes place. For whatever reason, a few months after my arrival, I was transported to the modern day Ponyville. What happened? Are the Princesses mad at me for disappearing like I did? I only helped establish the greatest country this world has ever seen and then vanished.

That... sounded more innocent in my head. Uh oh...

Edit May 24th 2017: IMPORTANT! I am currently rewriting the entire story and with that, many details and aspects are set to change. As such, it will essentially be an entirely new story, meaning this version of Past, Present, and Future is technically Cancelled. There will be no more chapter updates until I finish the rewrite, meaning that this version will not have a proper ending. If it's requested enough, I may do some kind of Cliffnotes version of how the rest of the story was meant to play out, but for right now just know that if you start reading this version, you will not get an ending. Long time ago, unicorn, earth ponies, pegasi and crystal ponies were not the only kind of ponies that lived in Equestria... Long before Celestia's reign or Equestria itself as a land full of ponies.
No, there were creatures that were not even ponies, and Lyra knew it well.
Soon, she will find the clue that will lead her to the truth behind the Equestrian history and the reason why those other ponies did not survive or those creatures she knew of were not here anymore.

Warning: This story contains a lot of information of older generations (G1 and G3). To fully understand the contents, I recommend you to watch 'My Little Pony: The Movie'(G1), 'The End of Flutter Valley'(G1) and 'Princess Promenade'(G3). 'The Runaway Rainbow' and 'A Very Pony Place' (Both G3) might apply as well. However, I'll try to explain as much as I can, just in case.

During a experiment Twilight made a mistake taking her and the rest of the the elements if Harmony to earth and into a person's apartment. Now Tom and the main 6 needs to find a way back to Equestria and not let anybody find out there here.

We all know the story of how the Princess’ young student and five friends defeated Nightmare Moon and brought Princess Luna back to our lands. But what if the tale were false? What if the young Twilight Sparkle on the event of her entrance exam had not been rescued by Princess Celestia, but instead lost her mind among the power of her youthful surge and had to be sent away, far away before she could destroy all of Canterlot with her newfound power. Now the feral unicorn prowling the Everfree Forest only vaguely remembers her past, slipping away from constant terrifying attempts to capture her.

And she is beginning to remember what true power felt like.

Princess Cadence, Twilight Sparkle, and Rainbow Dash can't remember what happens minutes after teleporting to an unknown location. Their memories are a blur and have difficulty evaluating the situation. They soon encounter something that turns their perception of the world upside down and soon discover they are no longer in Equestria. Their past unfolds and memories resurface, bringing the truth to light one step at a time.

This endeavor put some strain of the lives of three particular humans with problems of their own. They encounter a life changing series of events which transpire into new discoveries and friendships.

Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria, found a small child of another species in the Royal Gardens. After tense thinking, she decided to take the creature under her wing, becoming his guardian. This child, later named Onyx, will try to follow in the path of his adoptive mother. Will he be able to make her proud? Will being a unique creature affect how he’s treated or his personality?
