A long time ago in a small town in the heartland of Equestria, there were two misfits - a young zebra who loves his ukulele, and Trixie the part-time magician and full-time prankster. They get kicked out of town for being a nuisance on everyone until danger comes around the next day, a situation that calls for their unique talents.

When Luna's teachings on entering dreams ends up revealing Fluttershy's crush on Twilight, Twilight had no idea how to respond; she even suspects the feelings are mutual. So when one thing leads to another and the two ponies find themselves alone, they decide to share a simple dance with one another.

Trixie's performance was a success, and out of it, she gained Starlight as a friend, but after waking up with a horrible itch all over her body, she quickly figures out that something went wrong during the performance, but what went wrong? Grimdark story

He can't sleep. It was hard enough just getting Twilight back to bed and now that she's resting, all he can do is toss, turn, and completely fail to find a better placement for the basket. So as long as he's up anyway and trying to avoid disturbing his sister, there are worse things to do than take a quiet stroll around his sleeping town. Seeing what the world is like when he's the only one moving through it.

But there is one who knows that quiet world better than anypony, who isn't willing to let him travel without company.

And when two who share a secret meet under Moon, time becomes just one more thing to move through.
