Graduation is quickly approaching Canterlot High. While Sunset Shimmer is happy about this celebratory milestone, something has kept her believing there's more to do back in Equestria. Along the way, she begins to think back on her past, try to understand things she had never questioned before, and take an extended return to Equestria. Little does she know, she would eventually uncover an incredibly dark and unexpected truth...

Even after graduation, Sunset Shimmer is STILL looked at by a few as a monster. And, she’s constantly reminded of the Fall Formal nightmare and the Anon-A-Miss conspiracy. Principal Celestia advised her to head for an area called Kalos to start an adventure as a Pokémon trainer. Will she prove that’s she’s not a monster anymore? Let’s find out.

When sunset learned about the memory stone as well as how little time she had left to save her friend's memories from oblivion she rushed to find and undo it was too late. With the unexpected, but welcome help of Trixi she found the culprit in one Wallflower blush. Yet when she confronted the vengeful teen who would see no reason Sunset made the choice to save her friends as well as prevent the memory stone from being used ever again.

Through her selflessness came at great cost.

Now her friends both in Equestria and Canterlot high have to deal with a side of Sunset that hadn't been seen since Celestia first took her in as a student. Not the prideful, arrogant mare who charged through the mirror at the false belief of power. But a scared filly as they realize the memory stone does not work exactly as they thought it did as they try to get their friend back.

What can I say? It's a rewrite of the Happy Holidays comic with details altered to fit the continuity of my early Recovery Arc and Burritoverse entries. The only reason I made this at all is because it's necessary to set up a later, more important, story. I hope you'll enjoy anyway. Obligatory Guide Link.

It was just a week before Christmas. Sunset Shimmer has finally broke. The anonymous cyberbully a.k.a. Anon-a-Miss has exposed the private secrets of her HuMane Six friends on MyStable, friendships have been broken and severed by these claims, lives have been ruined, and all the evidence that coincided with the HuMane Six's secrets are falsely pointed at Sunset Shimmer. What's worse is that everyone in the school, including her friends, have turned on her, leaving her alone and despondent. What's even more worse is that Princess Twilight Sparkle of Equestria hasn't opened the breach between both the equine world and the human world.

Feeling lower than her defeat during the Fall Formal Incident earlier that year, Sunset Shimmer has given up all hope of trying to talk things over with her former friends, and decided to end it by walking in the December blizzard alone, hoping that the cold would calmly put her out of her misery. Walking along the highway with nothing but her warm clothes and her dreams of friendship crushed, Sunset finally succumbs to hypothermia and sleeps. When she woke up, Sunset knew that she didn't perish. Instead, a kind and generous soul had saved her from salvation, a kind and generous soul who hides a dark past within his memories. When Sunset asks him why he couldn't have let her die in the blizzard, it only took a few sentences out of him to make her realize that he wasn't so different after all. That he was a kindred spirit much like her own.

That's when Sunset decided to spend her first Christmas with her savior, which unfolds into a tale of how two distant yet kindred souls could change their lives for the better. What can more be said for Canterlot High when the scandals of Anon-a-Miss continues to spread through the hallways like an infectious virus, or when some unsavory figures from Sunset's savior's past decided to rear their ugly heads?

Second one on the second day WITH cover art I made. Damn, I can't stop all the pent up fanfiction man.

But yeah, this is a concept for Sunset Shimmer I wanted to explore and as far as I know I haven't quite seen it broached in this way here. It can open up to bigger things maybe but for now I'mma just leave this here and I hope y'all enjoy my second fanfiction ever made and I hope it's up to snuff after my first one.
