After an hour of walking, Sunset Shimmer makes it to the village where people gather for the big event coming up. It's when Sunset takes on the Kalos Region champion. Soon, she sees a little creaturing floating on a flower.
"That looks like Flabébé's evolved form: Floette." Sunset said as she pulls out her Pokédex. 
Floette, the Single Bloom Pokémon and the evolved form of Flabébé. The Pokédex said. It uses it's power to help flowers bloom.
Sunset looks at the little Pokémon. "Aw, it's so cute."
Just then, a pair of lavender hands covered her eyes. A female voice calls to her. "Guess who."
Sunset made a guess. "Twilight?"
"It's not your intellectual friend."
The person turned her around. And, Sunset saw who it is. "Pipp Petals!"
"Hi, Sunset Shimmer." Pipp said. "Good to see you again."
"You're here for special podcast business, I'm sure."
"That's right." Pipp soon got sad. "Sorry what happened to Sunny and Izzy. I hope they're okay."
"Believe me." Sunset said. "So do I."


PREPARING FOR THE MAIN EVENT


As she continues her tour of the town, Sunset sees a lot of her friends coming to watch her in this special event. She saw Wallflower Blush with an Abomasnow. She was impressed. 
"So, your little Snover evolved." Sunset said. 
"Yes, she has." Wallflower Blush. "As soon as this event is over, I'm going to fit Abomasnow with the Abomasite I was given."
"More power to you."
Sunset soon sat down enjoying a peanut butter and jelly sandwich she got from a delicatessen in town when Tree Hugger and Fluttershy waved to her. With them is a flowery creature that literally looks like a flower. Sunset quickly pulls out her Pokédex. 
Florges, the Garden Pokémon and the evolved form of Floette. The Pokédex said. Its protective of any bunch of flowers it comes along. 
Just then, everybody saw a sweet looking woman with short black hair and wearing a white outfit.
"Who is that lady?" Sunset wondered. 
Rainbow Dash approached her to answer the question. "That's Diantha. She's a popular movie star here in Kalos."
"What would a movie star be doing here?"
The lady named Diantha soon came to the two girls.
"I am looking for a young lady named Sunset Shimmer." Diantha said. 
Sunset spoke up. "I'm Sunset Shimmer. How can I help you?"
"I heard of your story. You rose up from being a bully at Canterlot High School. You're trying to make up for your misdeeds. One way to do so is what doing right now. Being a Pokémon trainer."
"Wow. You sure hear a lot. Don't you."
"One of the perks of being the Kalos Region champion is knowing of up and coming trainers."
Sunset's eyes widened as she is shocked by this revelation. "You're the Kalos Region champion?"
"Correct." Diantha replied. "And, I can't wait to see what kind of trainer you are."
As Diantha leaves, Rainbow Dash gives Sunset some advice. "You need to be like Twilight and do some research."
Later that night, Sunset was laying down on a bed in a state room she was given when she heard a knock on her door. When she answered it, there's nobody there. On the floor was a note that reads, 

Come outside the building and meet me there. I think you'll be surprised about who it is. 

Following the note, Sunset went outside. Soon, a voice of a  young boy got her attention. "Sunset Shimmer. I've been waiting to meet you."
When she saw who that voice belonged to, she was shocked. "No way."

Sunset was staring at someone she never expected thought to see. It was a young boy with black hair. He wore a blue vest over a white shirt, blue shorts, black sneakers, and a red cap with a Poké Ball stitched on it.
"I-I-I don't believe it." Sunset gasped as she recognized the boy. "Ash Ketchum! One of the greatest Pokémon trainers of all time."
"I wouldn't call myself one of the greatest." Ash replied. "But, I do appreciate the compliment."
Sunset was a little confused. "What are you doing here?"
"I've come to see you." Ash explained. "I heard of why you were sent to Kalos in the first place. You want to prove that your dark past is behind you."
"You're right. And, I've been proving that little by little." She soon got sad. "But, I hit a bit of a snag when I was ready for the Elite Four."
Ash knows what she's talking about. "That's when your traveling companions, Izzy Moonbow and Sunny Starscout, were forced to leave you."
Sunset nodded sadly. She sat down and started to tear up. But, Ash comforted her.
"Don't worry, Sunset." Ash said. "You do have a lot of your friends from Canterlot City ready to cheer for you. And, me and some of my friends will be there."
Sunset developed a smile, knowing Ash is right. "Thanks, Ash. I needed that."
Sunset and Ash hugged each other happily. The next day, Sunset was talking to Rarity. 
"Do you like the outfit I picked for your big battle against Diantha?" Rarity asked. 
"Yes, I do." Sunset replied. "Thanks, Rarity."
"My pleasure, dear."
The two girls separated. Just as Sunset was heading back to the building she's staying at, a sphere came down ejecting ropes which tied up Sunset completely. 
"What happened?" Sunset wondered nervously. 
A woman and man laughed evilly at her. The woman has long red hair and the man has short blue hair. They both had on white uniforms monogrammed with the letter R.
"Prepare for trouble!" The woman said. "Just go with OUR flow."
"You're battling the champion?" The man added. "The answer is NO!"
"To infect your heart with devastation."
"To fill your soul with sad Infestation."
"Causing nothing but heartbreak wherever you roam."
"You'll be so upset, you'll want to go home."
"Jesse!"
"And, James!"
"Team Rocket filling mind, body, and soul with sadness and blight."
"Surrender now to a very losing fight."
A Meowth jumped in to finish the motto. "Meowth! That's right!"
"Team Rocket?" Sunset gasped. "You guys are always after Ash Ketchum to take his Pikachu."
"Not today." Jesse said. "We heard of you, Sunset Shimmer. You're trying to make up for your misdeeds."
"Now that we're here," James added, "your path of redemption will end in disaster."
Meowth rubbed his paws together. "Now, we'll be taking your Pokémon, Bacon hair! Then, we'll go after that twerp."
"STOP!" Cried a female voice.
Everybody turned and saw Luster Dawn, Smolder, Ocelus facing the Pokémon thieves. Luster called out to them.
"You're not hurting our friend, Team Rocket!" Luster said as she takes out a Poké Ball. "Come out, Magnezone! And, use Thunderbolt!"
Magnezone popped out and unleashed an electrical attack on the three villains while  Smolder zipped in to get Sunset out of danger. The electric attack caused an explosion that sent Team Rocket away.
"That was quick." Jesse said calmly.
The villains then screamed in a panic. "WE'RE BLASTING OFF TOO SOON!!!"
Smolder soon removed the ropes off Sunset. The former bully is glad to be free.
"Thanks, guys." Sunset said, tearing up. 
"You're welcome, Sunset." Luster replied. "We'll be there by your side when you face Diantha."
"Luster Dawn is right." Ocelus added. "If Ash Ketchum can have support in the battlefield, so can you."
Ocelus was right. With the big battle coming up, Sunset needs all the support she can get.
