Going throught the gate, Sunset and company now travel onto Victory Road, which will lead them to the Pokémon League. As they enter a tunnel, they were confronted by a male psychic. He soon challenged Sunset to a battle.
"Come to me, Chimeco!" The psychic called out.
Out pops a small circular creature with a ribbon attached to it.
"That's a Chimeco, the Wind Chime Pokémon." Sunny noticed.
Sunset used her Pokédex to study this Pokémon. Chimeco, the Wind Chime Pokémon. The top on its head helps it stick to branches or buildings.
"Chimeco is a psychic type." Sunset said. "I know who to bring out. Deino, I choose you!"
Deino pops out, ready for action. The psychic is not impressed. "Chimeco, use Extrasensory!"
Chimeco fired a white beam of energy. But, Deino was unaffected. The psychic was surprised.
"Psychic powers are not affective against dark types." Sunset explained. "Time for our move. Deino, use Crunch!"
Opening its mouth wide, Deino landed a bit bite on Chimeco. The Wind Chime Pokémon was quickly defeated.
"I should've done some more research." The psychic said as he recalled his Pokémon. "You are indeed a great trainer."
Sunset blushed, knowing she's being praised.
AN UNEXPECTED REUNION
The trio walked through the tunnel, satisfied with this victory.
"That was a cool win you earned, Sunset." Sunny said happily.
"Yeah." Izzy added. "Your Deino is one good looking Pokémon."
"I have been training Deino for a while now." Sunset said proudly. "He's doing very good. And, I'm proud of him."
Deino blushed. Suddenly, Deino glowed, which means it's evolving. Deino grew into a two headed version of itself. Sunset was shocked to see this. "My Deino evolved into a Zwellious."
Her Pokédex comes alive. Zwellious, the Hostile Pokémon and the evolved form of Deino. Its two heads compete against each other for food.
"Wow!" Sunny gasped. "Zwellious sounds like it has an appetite as big as Snorlax."
The girls twisted and turned through the tunnel. Sunset brought Toxicroak to use Strength to push blocks into holes to clear paths. They went to an outside area. They were very surprised to see the duo of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon waving to them.
"Hi, friends." Diamond greeted.
"What are you guys doing here?" Sunset asked.
"We've come here for a little peace and quiet." Silver explained. "And, we're getting together with the CMCs. We haven't seen each other for a while."
"And, our Pokémon training is going well." Diamond said as she tossed her Poké Balls up. "Have a look."
Out popped a bulky version of Poliwhirl and a purple creature with many pipes on its body.
"A Poliwrath and an Exploud." Sunset gasped.
Sunset’s Pokédex explains about the Poliwrath. Poliwrath, the Tadpole Pokémon and an evolved form of Poliwhirl. It's bulky body allows it to swim rather than float. Then, it talks about the other Pokémon. Exploud, the Loud Noise Pokémon and the evolved form of Loudred. When it exhales through the pipes on its body, you better cover your ears.
"You saw my Jumpluff." Silver said as she threw her own Poké Ball. "Check THIS out."
Out pops a green creature with big red eyes, sturdy wings, and a long tail.
"A Flygon." Izzy gasped as Sunset checks out this Pokémon.
Flygon, the Mystic Pokémon and the evolved form of Vibrava. The Pokédex said. The flapping of its wings sounds like someone singing. It stirs up sandstorms to confuse enemies.
Just then, they heard a familiar southern voice. "We're here."
The group saw Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo wave to them.
"Good to see you three again." Diamond greeted.
"Yeah." Scootaloo said. "Don't we know it."
Pokémon Quiz

The groups of friends got together just to enjoy each other's company.
"You're Poliwrath looks awesome." Scootaloo praised.
"Thank you, Scootaloo." Diamond replied. "I was grateful that Silver and I found that Water Stone. That's how I able to evolve Poliwhirl."
"I found a Water Stone too." Sweetie Belle said as she takes out a Poké Ball. "Here are the results."
Out pops a bigger version of Panpour with longer hair.
Sunset studies this Pokémon. Simipour, the Geyser Pokémon and the evolved form of Panpour. It blast water from it's tail with such power, it can break through a solid wall.
Sunset looked at Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. "Did you guys find evolution stones too?"
"We sure did." Apple Bloom said. "I found a Leaf Stone and lookie here."
Apple Bloom brought out a bigger version of Pansage with its hair standing up. Sunset was astounded. "Cool. A Simisage."
Simisage, the Thorn Monkey Pokémon and the evolved form of Pansage. Said the Pokédex. It's tail is covered with thorns which is used to strike at its enemies.
Scootaloo takes out her Poké Ball. "And, here is a result of a Fire Stone."
Out pops a bigger version of Pansear with a poofy tail and hair.
"That's a Simisear." Sunny said as Sunset checks out this Pokémon.
Simisear, the Ember Pokémon and the evolved form of Pansear. The Pokédex said. It's head and tail bursts out flames when excited.
"You guys have amazing Pokémon." Sunset praised.
"Thank you." Diamond said.
Apple Bloom saw someone else familiar. "Cousin Babs!"
It was indeed Apple Bloom and Applejack’s Cousin, Babs Seed. And, she carried a thick coat.
"I was traveling through a mountain area," Babs said, "when I heard of this gathering."
"So, you came to be with us?" Apple Bloom asked.
"'You bet." Babs soon spotted Sunset. "Sunset Shimmer. Surprised to see you here."
"Hi, Babs." Sunset said. "Me and my friends here, Sunny Starscout and Izzy Moonbow, are traveling through here to reach the Pokémon League."
"Don't tell me you have all eight gym badges?"
Sunset showed Babs her case with her badges in it.
"Wow!" Babs said. "Those eight badges look so cool."
"Thanks." Sunset replied. "Why were you up in the mountains?"
"I was given an Eevee to take care of. We were near an Icy rock at Frost Cavern when I gave Eevee a Rare Candy." She takes out a Poké Ball. "Here's what I got."
Out pops a icy blue cat. Sunset was pleasantly surprised as she took out her Pokédex. "A Glaceon. The Fresh Snow Pokémon."
Glaceon, the Fresh Snow Pokémon and an evolved form of Eevee. The Pokédex said. It can freeze its own fur and strike at enemies with the icicles of its body.
"That's all eight forms of Eevee I saw." Sunset said happily.
Later, Sunset, Sunny, and Izzy are back in the caverns. They soon saw a slim tunnel with a light at the end.
"It was great to see a group of friends get together." Sunny said.
"Yeah. Just like you and your fellow Rainbooms, Sunset." Izzy added.
"True, guys." Sunset said. "No matter how far apart we may be, we'll always stay connected in heart and spirit."
They exited the tunnel, and were shocked about what they saw. It was a large white building that looks like a castle.
"So, this is where the Pokémon League are." Izzy said.
Just as the girls were going to enter the building, a female voice shouted angrily at them. "Stop right there, young ladies!!"
The girls turned to see who got mad at them. It was a light orange skinned woman with blond hair in a ponytail. She wore a purple business suit. Sunset recognized her. "Miss Harshwhinny. This is a surprise."
"Sunset Shimmer." Harshwhinny said in an eerie tone. "I was wondering when you'd show up."
