It was nighttime in a beautiful forest. Sunset Shimmer was wearing a red short sleeve shirt and black 3/4 tights, and she was walking barefoot in the woods. Suddenly, she was met up by the legendary Pokémon: Xerneas.
"Xerneas!" Sunset gasped. "What are you doing here?"
The majestic Pokémon spoke to her by telepathy. "I am greatful to you for rescuing me from the dark mechanations of Team Flare."
Sunset teared up with joy. She then heard an unusual request.
"I would like to accompany to for the rest of your journey." Xerneas said.
"What?!" Sunset gasped. "But, why? I planned to release you in a forest near a Pokémon Sanctuary."
"I understand your feelings. But, I feel I must repay you in someway. So, I shall join you until your travels are over. If you need me, I shall arrive."
Suddenly, Sunset rises up fast. It turns out the forest meeting was a dream. But, she felt like Xerneas was contacting her telepathically. Perhaps this would be a good idea.
BACK TOGETHER WITH
LUSTER DAWN
The next morning, Sunset and her friends walk down Route 18. Sunset switched some of her Pokémon before hand as Xerneas is resting at the sanctuary.
"So, what the plan?" Izzy asked.
"We need to reach Couriway Town on the way to Snowbelle City." Sunny answered. "Professor Sycamore said to meet him there."
A biker punk stepped out to meet the girls. "Which of you babes would like to have a Pokémon battle with me?"
Sunny steps up. "I'll take you on, sir."
"Here's your opponent!" The biker threw a Poké Ball. "Go, Golduck!"
Out pops a blue humanoid duck creature. Sunset was surprised as she pulls out her Pokédex. "That's a Golduck. Psyduck's evolved form."
Golduck, the Duck Pokémon and the evolved form of Psyduck. The Pokédex said. Strange psychic powers come from the red orb on its head.
"Let's go, Quilladin." Sunny said.
Quilladin comes out. The biker is amused. "What can that little guy do?"
"Just try us."
"You asked for it, babe. Golduck, show that Quilladin your Zen Headbutt."
Energy comes from it's head as Golduck lunges at Quilladin. Though hit hard, Quilladin was still ready to fight. Sunny gave him a command. "Quilladin, use your Seed Bomb attack."
Quilladin fired a barrage of seeds at Golduck. The punk was surprised that his Golduck was hit that hard. Suddenly, Quilladin turned into a ball and rolled to the Duck Pokémon. It was hit hard, and soon fainted.
"No way." The punk said with shock. "That Quilladin just learned Rollout!"
"Wow!" Sunset cheered. "This is a great thing for you, Sunny."
Sunny was happily surprised. "Congratulations, Quilladin. You learned a new move."
Just then, Quilladin glowed. That means it's evolving. Soon, Quilladin grew and has an armored shell on it's back.
"This day keeps getting better." Sunny cheered. "Quilladin just evolved into a Chesnaught!"
Using her Pokédex, Sunset studied this Pokémon. Chesnaught, the Spiny Armor Pokémon and the evolved form of Quilladin. It uses its whole body as a shield to protect others.
After shaking hands with Sunny, the biker leaves with a smile on his face.
"Way to go, Sunny." Sunset said happily. "You should be proud of yourself."
"Thanks, you guys." Sunny replied.
Soon, a familiar person comes into the area.
"Luster Dawn." Sunset said. "It's been a while."
Luster Dawn was joined by her two partners, Smolder and Ocelus. But, they came to just talk to Sunset.
"Hey, Sunset." Luster greeted. "Good to see you again."
Pokémon Quiz

"Somebody actually cares about guys." Izzy said. "So, what have you guys been doing?"
"We've been training our Pokémon." Luster replied as she took out a Poké Ball. "Here's one of the results."
Out popped a Magneton. Sunset remembers facing this Pokémon at Lumiose City.
"So, your Magnemite evolved into Magneton." Sunset said.
"That's not all." Smolder said as she throws a Poké Ball. "Check it out."
Out pops a round shell like creature with eyes and small legs.
"That's a Shelgon." Izzy said as Sunset checks out this Pokémon.
Shelgon, the Endurance Pokémon and the evolved form of Bagon. The Pokédex said. It's hard shell protects it while it waits to evolve.
"Last, but not least," Ocelus said as she tosses her Poké Ball, "this!"
Out pops a stell looking shell with two antennas. Sunset looks at the Pokémon with her Pokédex. "That's a Whirlipede."
Whirlipede, the Curlipede Pokémon and the evolved form of Venipede. The Pokédex said. This Pokémon spins at full speed to battle its foes.
"Very impressive." Sunset admitted.
Soon, the girls see a young man with brown hair checking out Sunset's Pokémon. She brought out Pancham, Skidoo, Kirlia, Bibarel, Snorlax, and Crobat.
"Who's that?" Sunny asked.
"That's the young man who kept us safe." Luster Dawn answered.
Sunset realized something. "I know this guy. That's Gary Oak. Grandson of Professor Oak and arch rival of Ash Ketchum."
"Former rival, you mean." Gary said, hearing the conversation. "Ash and I are now good friends."
Everyone was shocked to hear Gary address them. He then approached Sunset.
"So, you're Sunset Shimmer." Gary said. "I heard many good things about you."
"You have?" Sunset gasped.
"Yep. From Starlight Glimmer at the Pokémon Sanctuary. She and Dr. Fauna told me that you're doing pretty good as a trainer."
"Did they show you my Pokémon?"
"They sure did. You take good care of them. One of my biggest surprises is that Xerneas."
"Sunset caught that Xerneas to rescue it from Team Flare." Sunny said.
Gary was surprised to hear that. "Wow. I heard of that."
"Did you meet up with Luster Dawn and her partners?" Izzy asked.
"Yes, I have. They were on their way to Geosenge Town when I stopped them. Believe it or not, I didn't want them to get hurt."
Sunset looked at Luster. She and her friends nodded to tell her he's right.
"So, what do think of the Pokémon I have now?" Sunset asked.
"I can tell that take good care of them." Gary replied. "Keep up the good work. I better go. Nice meeting you, Sunset."
As Gary heads out, Luster and her friends head out as well. Sunset, Sunny, and Izzy will soon continue their travels to Couriway Town.
