Inspired by JanAnimation's "Button's Adventures" and Cinemassacre's "Angry Video Game Nerd", here we have Button reviewing ponified versions of video games, with a theme song by his girlfriend Sweetie Belle. This is in effect a parody of a variety of video game reviewers, like the AVGN and the critics of Normal Boots and Hidden Block.

During a particularly snowy day off from school, Button Mash and Sweetie Belle head off and have themselves a grand walk throughout town. However, not all is well, as young Button suddenly feels the need to tell Sweetie Belle how he really feels for her.

In which Button Mash shouts incoherently at the most advanced hoofball simulation ever developed, Sweetie Belle observes and provides internal commentary, and something just left of shipping ensues.

A semi-autobiographical exercise in self-deprecation and peer pressure, sponsored by Obselescence and drinking.

Button Mash is a connoisseur of video games, an owner that prides in keeping his CDs and cartridges in good order even though the same can't be said about his room.

Then why does he find a damaged cartridge hidden within the mess around him?

The Cutie Mark Crusaders decide they need to expand their numbers, but things quickly go awry when their first target begins sobbing on the spot. Sweetie Belle soon finds herself roped into hanging out with the young colt.

Can Sweetie Belle see past the young colts weirdness and allow friendship to bloom? Can Button Mash fake enough normal behavior to make at least one friend? Will these two hit it off, or are Button’s only friends destined to be the ones in his video games, forever?

Button Mash had been planning this out for years, ever since that one Heaths Warming Eve where Sweetie Belle kissed him. He was going to ask her out on a date. He's got the perfect idea, taking her out to the Canterlot Winter Ball after Hearths Warming Eve. Only problem is that he doesn't have tickets, but he knows somepony who does. Somepony he's going to regret working for.

Meanwhile, Sweetie Belle is getting prepared for her date with the one boy she's had a crush on for a long time. However, her entire world is rocked when she learns of a secret she was never meant to learn and questions everything in life.

Will this Hearths Warming Eve end up being a season of memories or a season of sorrows?

No longer grounded, Button Mash goes outside to find that all of Ponyville thinks he's dead. No matter what he does, he can't seem to get anypony's attention.

If it wasn't obvious enough, you should definitely read the first story, My Player Number Two and then the sequel A Wedding to Remember this is the third story, and I highly advise you to read the first two first. (My Player Number Two is the first story.)

Since the first day Button Mash moved to Ponyville he has loved Sweetie Belle but another filly loves Button as much as he loves Sweetie Belle. When this filly comes forward Button abandons his pursuit of Sweetie Belle causing her to sink into depression. How will this affect their friendship and will Sweetie fight for Buttons love? Only time will tell.
