Being an immortal goddess and supreme ruler of a nation is stressful. But sometimes you just have to cope with weird things. These are short stories about things that might or might not have happened, but were certainly erased from Equestrian history.

For years Nightmare Moon was considered "nothing but an old pony tale," but what did those tales actually say about her? See Luna, Celestia, and Discord as viewed through pony myths and legends.

The Album is a collaborative project between over seventy different authors. This project was designed to not only create something entirely unique and creative, but to test these authors to write in a different manner than they might normally be used to. The exercise was to take a single character--one per author and no repeats--and imagine a mental 'snapshot' of them during daily life, during a Moment we might not normally see or even think about, and write a story from said picture. Synopsis:

In anypony's life, there are the big days--tragedies and adventures, moments of loss and love, treasured memories to share and never forget.

But for every single day that comes once in a lifetime, there are hundreds that pass by unnoticed. Sometimes the simplest of moments can have just as much importance and life as the dramatic ones.

Here one can find snapshots of these moments--the every day, often unseen or even unregarded days of the lives of a variety of ponies.

Because every picture, no matter how common, is worth a thousand words.

With rumours of creatures acting out of the ordinary spreading through Equestria, one motley (and obsessive) reporter for a small time newspaper and her 'spritely' companion set out for answers.

Meet the pegasus Puppy Love and the magical cricket sprite "Dave" as they interview the stars of the "Chess Game of the Gods" Ponyverse.

Not necessarily canon to their stories. Choice made by the authors.

Chapters post-Prologue will be written half-live and half-blog, the blog being simple Q and A with possible 'author' comments. The questions will have actually been sent to each character's author to answer. Going to say also non-chronological due to timing interviews with each character and such. May also be interludes.
Only added tags I'm sure about... may add "Human" if authors choose to have their characters reveal their origin.

Twilight and Rainbow Dash, together? Must be that 'opposites attract' thing. Then again, maybe they have more in common than they're letting on...

All chapters originally written as separate entries for flash-fic blog Thirty Minute Pony Stories (TMP). I highly recommend a visit to TMP if you're looking for some of the best 1000-word gems in pony fiction. Many thanks to TMP for inspiring me to write!

Epilogue - The next Daring Do book isn't out yet, so Twilight convinces Rainbow to read a romance novel instead. That never works - does it?

Second - Twilight reads everything she can get her hooves on. Sometimes she finds things she'd rather not know, or in this case, that Dash would rather not know.

Becoming Daring - The latest Daring Do novel isn't quite what Dash expected, and her reaction isn't what a friend of hers expected, either.

Firelight - Not every schedule has to be full and not every list has to be checked off.

Lift, Weight, Thrust, and Drag - Dash's friends can't save her from an anniversary date with Twilight, at which she will show Twilight a secret skill she's kept from everypony. Twilight's definitely not complaining!

The Wait - Agony is knowing the one you love is standing hoof to hoof with danger and knowing there's absolutely nothing you can do to help.

Hoofing It - One day, Twilight will learn that reading Daring Do alone won't get Dash to do everything. That day is not today.

Variations on a Theme - How many combinations of Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash can there be? Plenty!

Reluctantly Yours - There's something Rainbow Dash doesn't want to lose, and Twilight refuses to let it go. Will this be the end of the awesomeness that is Dash?

Closer to Home - Giving up one dream to keep another isn't always a bad trade.

Wings, Wonderbolts, and You - Always read the fine print. And the rest of it, too.

Pinfeathers - Dash was all she ever wanted and all she'll never have. Twilight hasn't lost Rainbow Dash, but someone has.

Daring Do and the Chapel Perilous - Something's wrong with the Daring Do fanfic Dash and Twi are reading, and it's not funny.

Pew! Pew! Pew! - Rainbow Dash finds new and unexpected uses for the Elements of Harmony.

Less of Me - Twilight decides to help Dash's career along, but she might be getting ahead of herself.

The Ink Wasn't Even Dry Yet - Dash and Twi go head to head in a battle for the ages! And oh, the stakes...

Audience - Twilight Sparkle doesn't dance. We hope. Dear heavens, please let her not dance.

One of the most time-honored traditions of Hearth's Warming is the giving of gifts--but sometimes the real fun is not actually knowing who gives what to whom. Santa Hooves has decided to let all of Equestria play this game. Ponies (and even some non-ponies) who may have never even heard of their receiver have all been tasked with buying one gift and then delivering it completely anonymously! So, let's spread the season's cheer to any and everypony! Happy Hearth's Warming!

How, exactly, was Equestria made? This is the retelling of the creation, recreation, or random events that certain ponies believe were "how equestria was made".

Each chapter is a different take, by a different pony, by a different author. In the spirit of being Random, none of the stories are necissarily true or connected.

They say heroes are to be admired from afar. That they're the stuff of legends and folk tales, of epic stories and hushed whispers. But, deep down, we all know heroes are ponies—just like us—who rose to the occasion. Ponies who live amongst us and may even pass us on the street without being recognized.

Princess Celestia has asked us to help lift part of this veil, this feeling of distance from those who we honor and respect. It is to that end that we introduce our newest supplement: Woven Word Weekly, helmed by the titular author, to bring you—the people of Equestria—a closer look into the lives of the greatest heroes of our time: The bearers of Harmony.

Well, it turns out they play Football in Equestria too - well, hoofball - and just like here, there's a Superbowl. And of course, with the Superbowl comes the Superbowl Party. Now when it comes to Superbowl parties, the Earth Ponies who invented the sport tend to have the best ones, although they sometimes get just a little carried away. Ponyville, being an Earth Pony dominated town, is no exception, and every year, most of the town gathers to watch the EHL champion crowned. Follow this tale of laughs, food, grudges, drinks, and ... romance? ... at Ponyville's Annual Superbowl Party.

Everypony loves a good party to ring in the New Year, celebrating the completion of the old and the promise of the new. There's friends and family, fireworks for some, crackers and decorations, the midnight kiss, and, for many, a bit too much alcohol.

Thus enter our story where somepony awakes on the first of the year, completely oblivious to the night before. Who did they see? What did they do? What did they say? It's potentially all downhill from here as they ask the one question on everypony's mind:

What the hay happened last night?

In this collab, each author chose a single pony or non. They were tasked with having this character awaken with little to no memory of the previous night's celebrations. This character would then go on a search to find out exactly what happened. The idea was to create a bit of mystery--and probably a fair bit of comedy--in really trying to make it a sort of discovery for both the character and the author.
