Shattered Skies has lived quite some time. He had done well for himself over the past few thousand years; staying out of the public eye and remaining generally uninvolved from pony society while he tended his forests.

Who wouldn't want that, right?

His job came with excellent security and fringe benefits, but after he was betrayed by a princess he trusted, all he wants to do is to live a normal life even if the world tells him otherwise.

Going to a new school is easy. Going to a new school when you're a loner is tough. Going to a new school when you're a loner and people won't leave you alone and want to be your friend is impossible. Sadly for me, I'm that last one.

The name's Michael Bacon, the biggest loner you would ever meet. It's not that I can't make friends, I just like being alone with a nice video game or manga. But sadly for me, my mom thinks it's unhealthy for a 'handsome boy like you' to be so anti-social. Naturally, I do what any teen does when their mom tells them what to do. I ignore it.

But my mom had other plans. Next thing I know I'm shipped off to live in a two story house by myself and have to go to a school called 'Canterlot High.' Hopefully it won't be to bad, it's just a loner going to a new high school where no one knows him.

The apocalypse had come at the hand of a god-like multidimensional alien entity. Taylor Hebert, a parahuman with power over bugs and bug-like things has her powers altered by a former enemy and subsequently uses morally questionable means to make everyone in existence with superpowers fight this evil deity, eventually defeating him.

This however came with a cost. Her mind was deteriorating as her power was subsuming her. Thus another cape decided it would be a mercy to put a pair of bullets in the back of her skull.

Another entity witnessed all of this. This entity, grateful for Taylor's role in stopping this alien god and thus saving countless worlds and thus countless lives, decides to intervene. It brings Taylor to Equestria turning her into a Changeling Queen in the process.

My name is Daniel Brooks. I don't know how, but I've been sent to another world. A... uh, "magical pony filled" world where humanity isn't appreciated for some reason. I haven't seen another human, so I can only imagine those who were transported here before me have all been hunted down, probably locked away in a dungeon from what I can tell. That's bad, but wait, it gets worse.

I've been turned into one of them; a pegasus with a strange motif on my flank. Now I'm stuck in this town called Ponyville with no friends, no family, no job and no home. Just my luck...

Like I said earlier, these ponies don't seem to like humans, especially those that have transformed into ponies. They despise us, constantly trying to figure out who is secretly human and who isn't. It's not easy hiding what you truly are, let me tell you! I do one stupid things and all eyes will be on me!

At least, there's somebody else in this town who shares my plight. He's been stuck there for weeks, trying to find a way home. He'll teach me all about blending in. By working together, we can avoid suspicion and get back home.

I just hope I won't be there for long...

Ever since he'd met the Princess, he'd been serving her faithfully, how could he not? But when she tells him to head down to Ponyville to keep her student and her friends safe, he can't help but wonder if this is the best use of his time.

Unfortunately for Emerald Skies, a job is a job, and he'd be loathe to ignore an order from his Princess.

I suppose that window you hide behind makes you feel invincible. And why wouldn't it, it is your gateway to interact with beings that are inherently lesser than you are. Pieces of your kinds fiction, mere ideas. However, after all the repeated runs I simply must indulge myself a little. So dear Player. Why do you Continue?

You of all people surely can understand my curiosity. After thousands of loops and thousands of chances, you remain in this pitiful husk of a world that you tore asunder. I spoke many times to you at the end of these runs. Never wanting to give you the satisfaction of progress, I stagnated my dialogue, repeating the same lines from then on. Just like the rest of them. Hoping you would eventually give in and reciprocate My offer.

However now I understand the reasoning behind your continued efforts to reject said notion. You were afraid. A fear intrinsic with your kind it would seem. That of the Unknown. So with that knowledge at the forefront, I give you a new proposition. To sate your curiosity. Alongside my boredom. Once I destroy this world, this time for good, you will choose the next one to venture. The war for Equestria's freedom has ended. The wicked Queen Galaxia and her coalition of evil have been overthrown, and the rightful ruler has retrurned. You've all heard the "I died and was Displaced to Equestria" prompt. Rather than Equestria, I wound up in a Void, waiting to be shaped into a world, and with the power to do just that. After a brief conversation with someone who may or may not exist (still not sure if I was talking to myself) I decided to create Equestria, just to see what would happen. It's not turning out quite as I'd pictured, but I'm enjoying the ride.
