Now that Equestria is finally at peace, Starlight can begin to move forward with her life as the new headmare of the School of Friendship. Thankfully, she has Sunburst to help her out, at least most of the time. And she doesn't spend time secretly following him while he's going about his work. Absolutely not!

As summer is in full swing, Sunburst has accepted an invitation from Cadance to help with some new problems with Flurry Heart. With the clock counting down before he returns to the Empire, Starlight "kindly asks" that the two of them go on a date. Absolutely nothing will go wrong. It's not like the two of them can turn anything into a disaster zone given enough time.

Now he finds himself in a whole new world of multi colored horses, where he also encounters a certain showmare who speaks in third person.

Anon finds himself having to turn into a filly to start over and attempt at a new life. He ends up being adopted by none other than Trixie as they travel throughout Equestria; slowly coming to terms living together and finding out about each other's dark past.

When Trixie used a teleportation spell, she hoped to disappear away from Ponyville, but not go so far as to go to an alternate timeline. And in this alternative timeline, Nightmare Moon rules Equestria. As if that weren't the worst, Nightmare Moon ends up liking Trixie and wants her to stay in the castle to keep her company. Now, Trixie needs to find a way to return home. But will she really want to go back to the original Equestria, especially after being humiliated by Twilight?

You know what's a dumb idea? Taking the crew of a stranded cruise liner and marching them through a magical horse dimension to get home.

You know what's a smart idea? Grouping everybody in pairs so that they can buddy up and look after each other during the trans-dimensional trek.

When Flash Sentry is randomly partnered with an annoying fussy magician possessing an ego the size of the magical storm that sank them, he'd almost rather stay back on the wrecked ship.

It was just one of Bowser's average schemes: create a machine to send those pesky plumbers to another world so they wouldn't be in the way of his pretty princess plundering. What could go wrong?

You can probably guess exactly how it went wrong. An adventure of silliness and randomness awaits the heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom and Equestria when they get merged together.
