It was a Rainy Day in Ponyville, Inside the castle Twilight and her friends were having a nice brunch, Starlight had invited Trixie as a way to get out of the rain and Rainbow was having Gilda over for the weekend and had gotten her to come for the free food. As the Main 6 and Starlight talked about the adventured they had shared Spike was on his way to Gilda and Trixie, who had met once during their more questionable days and were greeting each other while looking out over the raining Ponyville.
"Never thought I'd see you again," Gilda was saying as she accepted the Drink Spike offered her and Trixie.
"Trixie agrees, tho it is nice to see you," Trixie said as she accepted the drink from Spike who looked at them.
"How do you two know each other,"
"Oh, now that is one hell of a story," Trixie said with a smile as pulled Spike closer "You see, it was about 4 months before Trixie's first trip to Ponyville-" Gilda sat back and listened as Trixie retold the tale of their first encounter and temporary business venture together, unbeknownst to the trio two sets of eyes were watching them.
"A Griffin, a Unicorn, and a Dragon," Flim said putting his binoculars down.
"Perfect candidates for our newest machine," Flam said with a smile, the two brothers were hiding in a tree and soaking wet. "No more will creatures have to be jealous of others who have far more interesting natural abilities,"
"Indeed! For we, the Flim Flam brothers have created to ultimate combination machine that will give anyone who uses its amazing abilities," Film said with glee
"But before we begin making bits off of this we must take the most basic of steps,"
"Testing," Flam agreed "Giving a Unicorn the power of flight, a Dragon Magic, and a Griffin the power to breath fire!"
"With those three as our mascots we'll make millions,"  Film cheered "And we shall ban any and all members of the Apple family from using it!"
"Indeed, for they cheated us and or amazing machine out of a very profitable piece of land," Flam said irritably as he and his brother made their way down from the tree.
"And exposed our Miracle Curative Tonic as," Flim stood in silence for a moment "not being quite what we said it was," he coughed "But that bit of business was necessary, we were almost ready to begin trials-"
"and got robbed blind,"  Flam finished with a frown "Foiled just as we were about to order the parts to build to most part and the fule,"
"But now we can throw that...less than enjoyable shadiness behind us!" Flim cheered "Now all we need is to figure out how to ask, neigh beg, those three to help us," as the duo tried to think of a way to get them to help them the universe shown in their favor.
"-Then we realized what we'd done wrong," Trixie said with a laugh, Spike and Gilda both fully invested in the story. "We'd done all the paperwork, but we sent it to the wrong address so legally we hadn't actually applied for the license, of course, neither of us wanted to go to jail over such a tiny mistake I took the cart and we both fleed the city, once we were far enough away we-" Trixie was interrupted when Twilight made her way to them.
"Spike I really hate to interrupt what seems to be a very nice beginning to a Friendship," Gilda smiled and gave Spike a Noogie,
"He's alright, good listener, with is great because I have tons of stories to tell," Twilight smiled before getting back on the topic of why she had interrupted them.
"Spike, Can you quickly run down to Rarity's and check on the Cutie Mark Crusaders?" Twilight sighed "Rarity had a fit about leaving the stove on then passed out, your the only one who has a key to get into the Boutique," Spike groaned before waving to the two.
"Alright, It should only take 20 minutes or so, depending on how bad the weather gets," Spike got up to start the walk when he was enveloped in magic and picked up by Trixie.
"Well then that gives me just enough time to finish the story," Trixie cheered as Gilda got up.
"Well guess I'm going to, not about to trust you with the details," Twilight watched as the three made their way out and sniffed.
"Look at that, making friends, I'm so proud," before she could soak in the moment Starlight spoke up.
"In Trixie or Spike," Twilight looked to her friend for a moment before smiling.
"Yes,"
Flim and Flam were just making a plan to put a message on a Pidgeon and send it flying to the window.
"All we'll need in paper, ink, and a few months to train a Pidgeon," Flim was saying when the door opened and the trio made their way out of the castle.
"Or luck," Flam said when he saw them "We can just use luck,"
"-and then we ran into two sales ponies," Trixie said as she continued her story, "There names where-"
"Flim and Flam?" Gilda asked.
"Yes, those where their names," Trixie agreed before seeing the look on Gilda's face and followed her gaze, finding the two sales ponies. "Oh holy shit!" Trixie said in shock.
"Flim and Flam?" Spike asked looking at the two. "The Con Ponies?"
"Con Ponies?" Gilda asked with a laugh "These two made the best Cider I've ever tasted,"
"Alas," Flam said in exasperation "The Apple Family drove us out of that business due to...an slight oversight,"
"We won on Technicality," Flim added irritably "but no they backed out of our deal," the Two brothers gave a polite cough before continuing.
"That's not what we here to talk about tho," Flam said.
"Yes, you see ever since our name was dragged threw the mud we've been working on a new business, one that had no competition," The Two then joined together in unison.
"Power Combination!" They cheered getting a confused look from the three.
"Let us explain," Flim said before adding "Sorry in advance for the less than exciting explanation but we haven't gotten around to writing a song for it yet,"
"You see," Flam continued "every creature has something that makes them special, be it an Earth Ponies Strenght,"
"Or a Dragons Fire," 
"But Some creatures who are born with one power want another power,"
"This is where we come in,"
"You see we have created a device that can give a creature the powers of another creature,"
"without losing their original powers!" The Two smiled before getting to the good part.
"Like giving a Griffin the ability to breathe fire," Flim said with a smile.
"Like giving a Dragon Unicorn magic," and for the big one the two said in unison,
"Or Turning a Unicorn into an Alicorn,"
"Sold!" Trixie said immediately



After checking in on the CMC and confirming the stove was off The Three followed Flim and Flam to a secluded spot in the forest, a tent had been set up to keep the rain off their equipment.
"Hey, you guys got some paper?" Spike asked Flim provided some while Flam offered some in and a quill. Spike thanked them and wrote a quick note.
"Sorry, got held up, might not be back till late," Spike sent the note to Twilight before being handed a Liability warning. After all three had signed it they were taken to the machine, It was the super speedy cider squeezy 6000, tho it had been heavily modified most of the machine looked the same, The three were directed to sit on three chairs next to the machine, after being buckled in Flim began explaining going over a final checklist as Flim moved to the control panel and began turning the machine one.
"So First we need to finalize what power you each one, we can only give you one as we haven't yet done any field testing on adding three to one body."
"Wings," Trixie said imedialy.
"Magic," Spike said simply.
"Fire," Gilda said with a smile.
"Ok, good choices," Flim said as Flam began typing on a small panel. "Of Flam, Connect Wire A to Trixies Horn and place it on Spike Back, then run wire B from Spikes's chest to Gilds chest, finally Wire C from Gildas Back to Trixies back," Flam floated three wires to the group, each ended with a suction cup on either end one Blue on Red, after sticking them in place and after both confirmed they were in the right place they began running threw a few tests.
"Is this gonna hurt?" Trixie asked as the two brothers ran threw the list to make sure everything was in order.
"There will be temporary Side effects," Flim pointed to Spike "You might experience some problems with making things close to you float at random, you won't be able to fully control your wings for a short while after you get them and might have muscle spasms, and you may end up fire hiccups that won't go away, you'll all have to be monitored for a few days but with a little hard work you should all be better than new in, three days at least."
"Should have asked about that before Sending the letter to Twilight," Spike said with a sigh as Flim and Flam moved back.
"Oh shit!" Flim shouted out making them jump "I forgot the most important thing, you three can not, for any reason, touch each other in any way after this until we say it's safe to,"
"Why?" Gilda asked in confusion "Kind of an...odd rule,"
"Due to...how this works your DNA will be unstable if you touch each other while your bodies are still settling you could...combine," The three looked at him for a moment "Oh for...just don't touch each other ok? It'll be really bad," Flim light his horn and connected Jumper cabled to each wire and connected them to the machine. "Ready?"
"Ready as We'll ever be," Gilda said, the other three agreeing with her. Flim nodded.
"Alright Flam throw the switch on my Mark," There was a moment of silence as Flim did one final check of the system before calling out "NOW!"
