This story is a sequel to Night Patrol

A thousand years she was on the moon, now she's back and living in a strange new world. Her friends and comrades are gone, nothing but dust in the dirt. With only her sister Luna looks towards the future, but the past keeps calling out to her. Her beloved soldiers of the night calling out to her through the ages.

What words did they leave her? What mystery did they leave for her solve? What will happen when she opens the doors of the past? Will it bring a new age of hope and peace, or destruction and misery?

What if she wasn't the only thing to awaken?

Garble's behavior towards Spike and his pony friends - despite being mimicked by his cronies - was unacceptable by the standards of the Elder dragons, and he was taken sorely to task for it. When the Elders decided an apology had to be delivered, Garble's twin sister, Garbledina, volunteered to deliver the apology. She claimed it was a sense of responsibility for her twin's behavior, but in truth she was curious about the 'runt' who so thoroughly got under his skin.

When she actually meets him, however, that curiosity quickly grows to something more. This comes as a shock to Spike and his friends...especially to a certain unicorn mare.

Celestia is unable to stop the two evil royal sisters, Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon knocking her out before she could destroy them. However, Daybreaker is stronger than Nightmare Moon, so Luna's evil counterpart is at a large disadvantage for the first half of the battle.
Soon, though, Nightmare Moon finds a way to increase her power, and her strength becomes equal to Daybreaker’s.
As the evil sisters battle, Celestia lays unconscious on the castle floors, Luna and Starlight trying to wake her up.

After escaping ARK, Shadow's escape pod is hit by a meteor and is send far from earth and to a different world.

In Canterlot City, Sunset tries to convince her friends about the memory stone, the pod crashes in a forest close by. Sunset and the girls meet the hedgehog, Shadow. Soon the group team up to find the memory stone to save their memories, while helping Shadow remember his past.

The battle against evil. A never ending cause that spans across infinite universe. Despite how different each and every reality may be, there is one constant. Good vs Evil.

But what happens when the evil forces of two separate worlds come together? Can one world's heroes handle another world's villains? The Elements of Harmony can handle any magical foe, but what will they do when their foe sends legions of mechanical monsters against them? And while the Freedom Fighters can smash through any machine, can they stand against the darkest of spells and darkest of souls? Can the heroes, who have such different tactics and stories, overcome their differences to take on the task at hand?

But above all else...is there enough room in this crossover to fit both Rainbow Dash and Sonic's egos? I hope so.

A few decades of family life for Discord and Celestia (happily married) and Luna in their castle under the peaceful reign of Twilight Sparkle has been a joy. Indeed, neither Equestria (nor their little family) has faced a severe crisis ever since the pre-coronation attack by Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow.

But times are changing - Twilight has a new special student: Luster Dawn. And Luster's first mission of friendship was to reform the evil trio. She reports success, and can't wait to show Twilight as well as the former rulers of Equestria (and several carefully chosen others) just how changed the villains are. The villains can't wait to show everyone a few things too. And Discord, Celestia, and Luna can't wait to be an active part of something bigger than themselves once again courtesy of the little ponies in their lives.

Welcome to a tea party for the ages where hopes, doubts, lies, longing, confusion, betrayal, jealousy, ambition, and of course love and friendship will all reveal themselves and be confronted in one of the most gloriously chaotic spectacles of potential disaster any creature has ever known. The Master and Mistress of Chaos are in for the evening of their lives.

Their first Grand Galloping Gala together was certainly an enlightening experience for Celestia and Discord. The pair began to understand each other, realized how much they liked being friends, and even weathered difficulty of Discord's (unrequited) confession of love. In the years that followed, the sun princess and the chaos master continued to develop their deep friendship. These days Discord even teaches chaos classes at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, and Celestia's no stranger to his chaos dimension. And the two still date potential romantic partners (Celestia discreetly, Discord openly and always teasingly mentioning his lady friends to the princess). Everything's going so well between these two dear friends...

...So why can Celestia barely sleep ever since Discord left a few months ago to go traveling for summer vacation?

But perhaps the sun princess knows the answer to that question and is finally ready to admit it to herself and to Discord. And perhaps it's time for their relationship to change once more.

A most chaotic courtship is ready to commence.

Note: Story takes place between seasons 4 and 5 (and was drafted prior to knowledge of "Make New Friends but Keep Discord".)

Discord’s miffed that Princess Celestia doesn’t seem to have extended him a ticket to the Gala—he thought they were friends! (Though maybe he understands a little, considering his recent betrayal, even if he did make things right in the end). However, when she shows up to not only give him his ticket in person but to ask him to be her personal escort for the evening, Discord is surprised (and then smugly satisfied) to say the least…that is until Rarity decides that Celestia’s invitation was clearly her asking Discord out on a date.

Discord dismisses the idea however as he has plenty of other things on his mind at the moment—ponies at the Gala will certainly be talking about Tirek, and how can he face their questions when guilt about what he did is bothering him so much that he can’t even talk about his mistake with his friends? And what is he supposed to do now with his life since he’s finally fully reformed?

Pretty soon Discord’s worries spill over into his dreams—many random dreams…and many random dreams specifically about Celestia. What is his subconscious trying to tell him? And why does Celestia keep trying to get closer to him? It’s all leading up to the most chaotic night ever when Discord will show up at the Gala arm in arm with Celestia and ready to face the world as the ‘REFORMED reformed’ Discord!

Two denizens from two worlds collide in the middle and get dropped onto Everglow. Thankfully, one of them is Zecora. Surely she can handle a little adventure without panic being required. Her partner, lacking fur, has a sword but comes in peace.

Sparkler's finally found a place to call home. After so many years of being made to think she was a freak, She finally found herself among friends who think otherwise. It was a bumpy road coming out, but she's faced her fears and now she is free to be herself. And she's even developed a crush on the princess of friendship. Things are DEFINITELY looking up.

But she'll soon learn that the discovery of another Alicorn, one who is NOT royalty, will not sit well with certain ponies among the Canterlot Elite. And things will get even more complicated when she meets a foal one night in an alleyway.

What's next for our heroine and her parrot friend? Only time will tell.
