After the climatic battle between the two Legendary Pokémon who rule over Time and Space respectively. The banishing of Nightmare Moon has brought much suffering to thestrals throughout Equestria. They are seen as servants to a wicked manifestation of the night, and are treated accordingly. Many officials, including the mayor of Manehattan, use every opportunity to gain from this abuse.

Yet the spirit of the bat-winged ponies is not so easily broken. Count Shadow Wing leads a band of Thestrals to demand their rights be returned... or else.

Twilight Sparkle has retired from her role as ruler of Equestria after a two hundred year reign. Expecting to enter a peaceful retirement, she is instead confronted by the return of King Sombra, who once again seeks to enslave the ponies of Equestria and bring darkness to the land. Her friends having grown old and passed away long ago, Twilight must face Sombra alone.

Kyra is a bounty hunter who spends her days serving the ponies of Equestria by ridding the world from all manner of evil-doers. Bandit gangs making roads unsafe? Kyra will solve your problem. Monsters causing a panic in your town? Kyra can handle it for you, no problem. Need someone to get rid of that annoying neighbor without drawing attention? Find somebody else.

In case I wasn't clear, Kyra's a bounty hunter, NOT A MURDERER, you nut job! In fact, that's why Kyra retired. She's had enough of solving other pony's problems, and it's time she took a well-deserved vacation. Unfortunately, she'll find that quitting won't be as simple as she thought.

After taking the throne, Twilight had a lot of things to do - a transition that had never happened before was bound to be fraught with a thousand unexpected complications.

As part of the transition, Twilight finds herself going through Princess Celestia's old personal papers, finding secret after clue after instruction long forgotten about. And among those papers, Twilight finds a letter.

A letter addressed to My Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle.

Some time after defeating Nightmare Moon who had somehow returned. A filly resembling her is found in The Castle Of The Two Sisters.
Is she evil or is she just misunderstood.
More importantly what damage has been done to her mind.

Nick, an 8-year-old boy in New York, has been having a tough life ever since he was younger. At four years of age, his parents died in a car wreck. When he was in 1st grade, he was picked on in school for being an orphan. Recently, he was kidnapped by a wicked pawn shop owner who stole and hid away a diamond somewhere in a nature preserve. But what he didn't know was that the gem reacts to the full moon, sending him off somewhere, taking the diamond with him.

The next thing he knows, he finds himself in an old castle, not knowing how he got there. Not only that, but he finds himself in a completely new body, one of the opposite gender. Nick was now a black alicorn filly, with a mane that looks like the night sky, and turquoise dragon eyes. She also had on a blue helmet and four blue horseshoes. Nick has no idea where he is, what he had become, or what he was wearing, but he has to find a way back to his world in his original form.

But how will the ponies of Equestria take it when they see a filly Nightmare Moon? This will be a very confusing or shocking to the Main 6 and Spike. This is going to be one heck of an adventure.

This story is based on Living Nightmare by Autum Breeze, but we're doing this story early in the series, and with a kid that had a lot of trouble through his life.

A cold wind blows at two beings sitting on a lonely cliff on some far off mountain, wherein the distance one can see the border of the infamous Everfree forest, on another distant mountain, sits the glittering city of Canterlot and nestled between both lays a cozy little hamlet called Ponyville. Every inch glimmering in the light of the setting sun to the west, to which the Chaos God looks to and has an errant thought of how he liked it better when it set in the east. But that was not why he was here and he was not looking forward to the talk he is about to have with the gryphoness sitting silently beside him.

Turning to look at the gryphoness, with the snow leopard body and falcon head and wings, sitting stoically beside the god. At noticing his look she raises her eyebrow as she wasn't sure how to deal with the discordant being when he's all quiet and serious like he was now. With a sigh, the mismatched being begins "Nala there is something you should know about where you come from......."

Ok here is yet another attempt at a different type of story than my usual, first off you readers of my other works will notice that this story is not rated Mature, that is because this isn't going to be a clop fic or have any naughty scenes like in my others.

Two this is yet another attempt to rewrite my old story "The Story of Dawn and Twilight Sparkle" but this will be very different from that one in many ways some I am not even sure about how.

The Gore and Violence tags are just a precaution.
