Leo had just turned 16 and passed high school, he had a life that you can consider ordinary. But one day he dreamed of a creature who was better described as outright bizarre, also having a strange and questionable sense of humor. But he just shrugged that aside.

An error on his part, as the creature who named himself 'Discord' suddenly pulled him into a world he had never seen before and with a body that was similar to his, and what did he mean by himself being an apprentice? What the hell is going on?

And why do the people all look like colorful horses?

Desperate, Clover the Clever's last living student gathers together 108 virgin mares, in order to perform a ritual that will revive King Sombra. They succeed... kinda.
A human, in King Sombra's body, suddenly finds himself in an Equestria in a downward spiral with a bunch of technicolor ponies begging him to save them. Convinced that he's either dreaming, stoned, or insane, he tries to go along with it as best he can, although the voice in his head, a very angry voice with a hunger for conquest, crystals, slavery, and stairs, isn't doing much to instill confidence in his own sanity...

In the alternate timeline where Sombra was not stopped, a human finds himself suddenly in Sombra's body... just after the dread tyrant has conquered Equestria. Now trapped in a world where just about everyone hates him, he must try to keep up the illusion that he is the villainous conqueror, while at the same time try to win over his new subjects.

However, this will not be so simple, as the real Sombra is not quite dead... and he is most definitely not happy.

Pandinus Imperator (You can call him Pan, he won't mind) is knocked back in time during the Canterlot Invasion, and accidentally kills King Sombra on arrival. Instead of being executed, the changeling is surprised to find himself being hailed as a hero, and is promptly put on the throne as the new monarch, the Crystal Emperor. There's also the tiny problem of the constant snowstorm that threatens to cut the city off from the outside world permanently.
