Almost ready... · 11:48pm Nov 9th, 2014
I've nearly finished the next chapter for The King Is Dead, Long Live The Emperor. A little more time is all I'll need. I'll have it up in an hour or so.
I've nearly finished the next chapter for The King Is Dead, Long Live The Emperor. A little more time is all I'll need. I'll have it up in an hour or so.
The last week has been a killer. Had a lot going on, while being ill at the same time. Still, I'm feeling a lot better than I was, so you can has updates soon.
...but then life happened. The last two days have been kinda rough on me. I'll have something up friday or saturday on this story, and on In Search Of A Family. In the meantime, please bear with me.
While I was able to do a chapter for In Search Of A Family (Shorter chapters, yay!), I've been having to pull a lot of overtime at work to make ends meet this month, and that is eating a little bit into my energy and writing time. I'll do my best to post a chapter on The King Is Dead, Long Live The Emperor by sunday, but I can't promise anything earlier. Next week, and the week after will be better, though.
Dark Souls 2 took up more of my attention than expected, so by way of apology, I am putting up another short example of my early writing attempts that I've not posted before. Please go easy on it, I think that this was maybe my third attempt at writing.
Hasn't submitted completely yet, but when it does, the link should be here.
I am working on getting the next chapter up for you amazingly awesome people, but I am running up against a deadline:
The new dark souls 2 dlc comes out tomorrow, and once that is downloaded, you all know I won't be writing for a couple of days. If I don't get that chapter up by then, I'll pay you guys back with interest when I'm not thoroughly engrossed in Dark Souls 2. Thank you for your patience, I love you all!
There's a storm coming in where I live, so that's gonna prevent me from working on the next chapter. I'll have it up no later than saturday.
Okay, this next chapter is a doozy, in terms of plotline, so it's taking me some time to write it. I won't have it up tonight, it seems, but I intend to work on it more today and tomorrow, and get it up tomorrow evening... I hope. Sorry, folks, I was busier over this weekend than I originally planned XP.
I haven't gotten the next chapter ready yet, but I am working on it. However, I felt like writing a little bit of 'dawwww', so I put a little work into an early chapter for the sequel of The King Is Dead, Long Live The Emperor. Here's a piece for you. Enjoy.
Chapter One: It Begins With Something So Simple
"Whatcha doin'?"
A lot of you probably figured this out on your own, but I won't likely be posting until monday. I'd have posted a chapter a couple of days ago, but some computer problems got in the way and I lost all the work I had made on the next chapter, and I'm still getting caught up. If I can get it done before Sunday, I'll post, but otherwise, it'll be monday. Too much stuff on my plate due to the 4th of July holiday weekend.
Sorry folks, I am under the weather again, and after 'Kemosabe', I learned not to write while under the weather. I tried, then look back at it, and saw that there was no improvement over last time. I'll have a chapter up Monday at the latest.
Someone requested that I save this here. Can't imagine why, but if you want to look over it, I shall store this on my blog for posterity's sake.
The banished chapter of The King Is Dead, Long Live The Emperor

"It should be just beyond the cliff edge here..."
One thousand years, give or take a decade or so, forward, in the 'prime' timeline.
What was I thinking with that last chapter? Seriously. I'm certain that I had something planned, but I can't even remember. Worse, it deviated from the original plans I had. I'm gonna have to revise it a bit a lot. From now on, if I get sick, I'll write, but won't post until I've proofread it when I'm better. I definitely didn't want to create such a confusing chapter, and my original plan, on retrospection, was much, much better. I'll have the proper version up an running
