Ponyville, outskirts forest
Lizzie's POV
I can't believe it, I was just exploring this forest and see if I can have some fun in this world, but I never expect to meet one of my favorite characters of My little pony show. There was something at earth called bronycon, is like somekind of convention for the fans of the show, and for what I had been told from my friend Clare at school that had go to one of those convetions once, that you could have the chance to meet the original voice actors of the show.
"Well beat this, Clare, I'm in front of the real Fluttershy in flesh and bone." I thought still looking to Fluttershy nervous and excited.
"Eh...I...Just." I tried to say something but with emotions that I had, I was too timid to talk properly.
"You can talk?!..." exclaim Fluttershy exalted as she come slowly a little closer to look me better. "And that collar you are wearing...Are you perhaps..." said Fluttershy looking me suspicious as I took a step back, I don't like her tone for a strange reason. "A diamond dog?" said Fluttershy suprising me in the act.
"Ehh...Yes I'm a diamond dog." I said letting out a chuckle, I don't know why I answer with that, maybe I'm too nervous at her presence.
"But Diamonds dogs doesn't live in Appaloosan's Mountains? You are too far away from your home? And you aren't still to young to be alone here?" said Fluttershy now in concerned tone.
"Well I..." I try to say something as I look around when I got a idea. "I'm in a journey with my big brother, around Equestria." I replied to Fluttershy who calm down and look at me with small smile while she walk closer to me.
"I see, I'm Fluttershy by the way." said Fluttershy smiling extending her right hoof to me.
"Lizzie Summers, but you can call me Liz." I replied as put my right paw closer to her hoof touching it.
It was a little weird, it feel like she was giving me a handshake with her hoof, but now I was trying to keep my mind calm, my head was about to explode by knowing that Fluttershy had give me a hand-I mean 'hoofshake'. Then I look up to Fluttershy and she was tall to me, if I could measure me myself, I would say that I was tall as a regular filly from the show.
"So, what are you doing in this forest miss Fluttershy?" I asked polite smiling to her.
"Oh yeah I was-" Fluttershy stop for a moment and look at me with a concerned expression. "Liz, where have you been staying?" Fluttershy asked me preoccupied.
"Well, my big brother and I are camping in this forest, why?" I ask curious.
"You and your brother has to find another place to stay little Liz, this forest is dangerous now, a huge monster have entered in it and I'm trying to get my forest friends to go to my cottage so they could be safe in there." said Fluttershy not only concerned about the safety of her animals friends, she even care my brother and I, she really is the element kindness.
"'A huge monster'? she is doesn't referring to my brother right?[/ i]" I thought about what Fluttershy have told me.
"Don't worry miss Fluttershy, my big brother is strong and if we have to, we will go out this place." I told to Fluttershy reassuring her.
"Still, Liz please take my word and told your brother to find a more safe place for both of you." said Fluttershy looking me concerned, she is very serious about this, even though we just met a few moments ago.
"Ok I will tell him when I go back to our camp, don't worry about it miss Fluttershy." I said to Fluttershy who let out a short sigh in relief and smile back to me.
"Thanks for listening to me Liz." said Fluttershy getting a good mood as she calm down.
"So...You said you were looking for your forest friends?" I said changing the subject.
"Oh yeah, I need to find them before the preparations." said Fluttershy.
"Preparations?" I asked curious.
"At Ponyville, the town closer to this forest, we are going to have there the Summer Sun Celebration, the festival will start in two days and everypony is busy, right now I'm in charge of the music, I will conduct a choir of birds." said Fluttershy to me smiling.
"Summer Sun Celebration? So we are at the beginning of the show? I wonder If is a good idea to do something about of what is coming?" I though pondering of what I should do, I have to talk this with Jim later, maybe he have a better idea of this.
"I see, I would like to go and see that." I said genuinely, seeing Fluttershy's choir of birds will be amazing.
"Why don't you come then? If you want, I could invite you after you and your brother had found a better place to stay." said Fluttershy offering.
"I would love to, but I has to ask my brother first, he is taking care of me right now." I explain to Fluttershy.
"Oh, I see..." replied Fluttershy understanding my situation...I think, she put a sad look on her face while she look to me with pity, I hope that she isn't misunderstanding something. "For now, you should go back to your camp, Liz, don't you want me to accompany you to your camp? You shouldn't walk alone in this forest." Fluttershy asked me offering to me her good will.
"Don't worry miss Fluttershy, our camp is closer from here and you are right, my brother doesn't know that I'm here, I will go back to the camp before he know that I'm not there anymore, still, thank you for your concern." I replied smiling to Fluttershy.
"Ok Liz, well, I will continuing searching for my friends, please, do what I said and talk with your brother about the monster ok? Please be careful." said Fluttershy worried about me.
"Thank you miss Fluttershy, if we can, can we meet again in another time?" I asked to Fluttershy.
"Of course, it was good to meet you Liz, I would like to see again...* said Fluttershy as she turn back and point with her left hoof in the direction in front of her. "If you follow that path thru those trees, you will encounter the road to Ponyville, but before that you will also find my cottage in that way." said Fluttershy showing me the way to her home.
"Alright thank you miss Fluttershy and good luck finding your friends, farewell." I said to Fluttershy as turn a bit from the bushes for were I came from.
"Goodbye Liz." replied Fluttershy smiling to me.
After leaving Fluttershy with her issue, I walk back in the direction to the camp where my brother was, I just hope that he hasn't wake up yet and see that I'm not there. When I get back at the camp, I find that my big brother is still in his sitting position asleep, I have to tell him that I had finally meet Fluttershy, I'm hoping that he don't get too angry with me for go and exploring alone, but then I remember what Fluttershy told me, that in two days, the Summer Sun Celebration will start, that means that Nightmare moon is coming soon, I need to talk this with Jim, If we should intervene with this issue or we leave the things like that.
Jim's POV
I don't know where I was, I feel like If I was floating but not in the air, I was surrounded in a deep water, it was dark I cannot see too well in this place, I don't know is was a lake or a sea. One thing that sure about it, I was angry for some reason, like if I was bring down in this waters againts my will.
Just then, I feel that something is coming at my back, when I turn, I look that something was coming at that direction, something big was swimming to me. I was preparing myself for whatever was in this waters with me, it was too obvious that it was going to attack me, but that thing noted that I was waiting for it, so this thing stops and quickly turns around at it's side of the right and hide itself using the darkness that was surrounding us, at that moment I saw that this thing has a long tail while I lost it sight.
I start to look around for this creature, for what I learn in this short time sharing its presence is that this thing was smart, every time that I caught it with my eyes it quickly turns around and dissapear in this waters, I don't know why but I feel a deep anger and frustration against the creature, as If I had meet this thing before. After a while of playing this 'game' of hunting I finally encounter in my sight with the creature, it was far away from my position and it was doing something strange, there was somekind of water current in front of the creature.
Before I could know what this thing was doing a powerful torrent was shoot from creature and was covering my entire body. The water pressure that was creating this maelstrom, it was so strong that I have to move my huge arms in front of me slowly to shield myself from this attack, but my vision was turning white until finally I give up againts the power of this current, lossing my consciousness.
Ponyville, outskirts forest: Lizzie and Jim's camp
I woke up deeply panting about for what I saw in my dream, why I was underwater? What was that creature? And more importanly, why I feel like if had know that creature before and why I hate it so much? I don't have much time to think about when I feel something touching my legs, I look down and saw my little sister hugging me with her paws looking me with a concerned look.
"Jim are you ok?" ask Liz worried about me.
"It was just a dream, nothing more." I thought for a moment and then I move my hand to Liz's head a rub her gently with one finger.
"Is ok Liz I'm fine, it was just a bad dream that I had." I told her smiling.
"Good to know." Liz replied smiling now more relaxed.
"So, how was your training?" I asked to my sister.
"Jim! I finally made it, I have performed the Petit punch, look..." said Liz excited walking away from me to a tree, as she stood there in two legs and then and attacking it with her paws releasing her technique againts the tree and turn back to me. "See?" said my sister in joy.
"Wow, she really is something." I thought looking surprised from where I was sitting the marks that my sister left with her paws on tree's trunk.
"That's wonderful Liz, good job, now you just need to learn how to use the Puppy howling." I said satisfied with the progress of Liz.
"Watch out or I'll be stronger than you." said Liz with a proud posture smiling.
"Probably." I said joking and laughing a bit of her fun behavior.
"Oh Jim I almost forgot..." said Liz before she walks closer to me. "I finally meet a pony, Fluttershy, the pony who live in the cottage we cross last night." said Liz like if was nothing.
"WHAT?!!!" I exclaim exalted and angry, for me those words were like if someone had throw cold water at me. "Liz what I had told you? We can meet the ponies yet, what could have happened if one of those ponies decide to caught you and sell you in something like...I don't know, a zoo? or experimenting with you? What If I couln't-" I stop scolding my sister when I look her crying with tears streaming on her cheeks.
"I-I-I sorry J-Jim...I no-not gonna...do it...any-anymore." said Liz sobbing and scared, looking her in that state break my heart with regret for I had said to her.
"Oh...Liz I'm so sorry..." I said standing up and coming closer to her and with my left arm I grab my sister gently in my hand and moving her body closer to my chest. "Liz I shouldn't had yell at you and scolding you in that way, it was not right to do that to you, I'm sorry for being so harsh with you, but you are the only one I had right now in this strange world, I really don't want to loose you too." I said to my sister in my hand rubbing her gently with my other hand, I was about to break in a cry too.
"I-I know it Jim...I don't...want to lose you too." said my sister sobbing while rubbing her face against my chest fur.
We both stay like that for a good time, crying together comforting each other as the time pass. When both of us calm down, my sister look back to my face with her sad eyes saying: 'I'm sorry' and I look her back with the same look in my face as I sit on the ground again.
"Liz, I'm sorry, I don't want to be so overprotective with you but is just that I..." I try to said feeling bad for how i'm treating Liz.
"Is ok Jim, I'm sorry too, I shouldn't had go to explore without asking you first." said Liz to me.
"Everything is ok now, let's leave that in the past shall we?" I said to Liz smiling.
"Right..." said Liz with a better mood. "By the way Jim, when I talk with Fluttershy, she told something that I want to tell you."
"What?" I ask curious.
"She told me that in two days, the Summer Sun Celebration will start." said Liz with a serious tone.
"Summer what? Is that somekind of party?" I asked again oblivious about what she said to me.
"Well...Yes, but that's not important, Jim when that event happen Nightmare Moon will come back." said Liz with same seriousness.
"Nightmare Moon?" I said a little confused.
"Nightmare Moon, she is the first bad guy of My little pony that show up at that festival in the first two episodes of the show, I want to ask you If we should do something about it." explain Liz to me.
"Well Liz, you are saying that this Nightmare Moon character will appear right?..." I said as she replied with a nod. "And she is the first bad guy as you have said of the show right? So in theory we are at the beginning of the show?..." I said as Liz nod again at my question. "And you are saying that we should do something about, but Liz If we intervene in this, maybe, it will could change the story of the show." I said to my sister.
"Eh? What do you mean Jim?" Ask my sister confused.
"Well, let's just said that you and I go to that party and try to stop this Nightmare moon right?" I ask to my sister again and replied nodding. "Ok, then what could happen after that? You know that show right? So neither you or I would know what could happen If we meet this Nightmare moon." I explain to my sister who looks unsure for a bit until she realised.
"I see!..." exclaim my sister as she realise what I mean. "If we go and interrupt the Summer Sun Celebration, the future that I know will change." said Liz understanding the situation.
"You see, is a big risk, let's just wait until that party is over ok?" I said to my sister.
"But I'm worry for Fluttershy and the others Jim." said my sister concerned looking with her puppy eyes pleading.
"Is ok Liz, you know how end those episodes right?..." I said as she nod in replied. "Then you shouldn't be worry about this, they will be fine." I said to my sister reassuring her.
"If you said so..." said Liz unsure.
"So, what you talk about with this Fluttershy?" I said changing the subject.
"Oh well, she show me how to go to her cottage, she told me that she is having troubles with her forest friends...Oh, and she said that a huge monster is living in this forest right now and that we should move from this place." said Liz to me with a playful smirk.
"Really? A 'huge monster' is roaming in this forest, then you should stay inside the cave while I deal with it..." I said smiling following her game. "Or perhaps he would do something like this!" I exclaim and quickly my right hand I start to tickle my sister's belly.
"Ji-ha ha ha...Stop it!...Ha ha ha...No more!" said Liz laughing for my 'tickle attack'.
I continued tickling and playing with my sister like this as the time pass, when we realized, we noted that the sunset has arrived, it was time to prepare us for the night. Then Liz and I, we gather together branches and wood enough to ignite the bonfire for the dinner, tonight we will have a better menu than last night.
When the night falls, I use my dark spark to light the campfire, I noticed that the more I try to use my power, the less difficult it becomes to use them. Then I cook our fishes and after eating the dinner we decide to go to sleep in the cave, when I lay down at the entrace of the cave, I put Liz's body on my belly again like last night and noted the moonlight falling in our camp and I saw the shape of a horse or a pony in the moon.
"Even the moon has a pony in it? There's anything more that can surprise me in this world?" I thought looking to the moon.
"Hey Jim, do you think that I could visit Fluttershy in another time?" asked Liz to me as Iook back to her.
"Technically you can, but, you will go with my permission and after this two days ok?" I told my sister as she look me with joy.
"Really? thank you Jim!..." exclaim Liz jumping on my belly. "I wonder if is a good idea to for her to meet you?" said Liz while she take a sitting position.
"You don't had tell her about me right?" I ask to my sister.
"No, but I told her that I have a big brother." Liz replied to me.
"Good..." I said relieved. "Now let's sleep sis, tomorrow I will help you in learning how to use that Puppy howling." I told to Liz who nod smiling.
With that said, I move my right arm and with my hand I start to rub Liz's back, relaxing her until she finally fall asleep. Then before I go to the world of the dreams too, I move my left arm, grab a few pieces of wood that were closer to me and throw them in the fire to increase a bit the flame, after doing this I close my eyes and finally I fall asleep.
Ponyville
Twilight's POV
Last night I had been study a lot about something that I found, Nightmare Moon, in the book of Predictions and Prophecies, it's states that in the story of The mare in the Moon, Nightmare Moon will return at the 'on the longest day of the thousandth year' and If my hypothesis are correct, that time will be on the day of Summer Sun Celebration.
I try to warn my mentor, Princess Celestia, but she told me that I should stop reading 'those dusty old books' as she said in her letter and assigned me to supervise the event, but the last part of her message task me one thing: 'Make some friends'. I was quite indifferent with that matter, with the prophecy of The mare in the moon worrying me, but I trust Princess Celestia's words, making friends will be the last thing I do, first I will finish this job and later I try to convince Princess Celestia, If I can't then I just hope that the prophecy will just stays as the old tale that it is.
There it was when I and my best friend and assistant, Spike the baby dragon, together we arrived in Ponyville, Spike told me to try to be more friendly with the ponies of this town and that was when we encounter a pink earth pony mare in our way. I say hello to her to her but instantly, her reaction surprise us, she jump and shout loud in front of us before she disappear in a moment running with a great speed leaving us with a awkward feeling.
With that experience, we begin to check the list of supervising, and our first stop was in the Sweet Apple Acres farm for catering. As we arrived in the farm, with meet with a mare that was bucking a apple tree, Applejack as called, she give us a welcome together with her huge family, we were just going to check the food but we feel obligated to stay and eat the food samples that they prepared for the festival.
Leaving the farm with our stomachs full, the next thing on the list was the sky, it said that a pegasus mare named Rainbow Dash was in charge of clearing the sky, we saw the 'great job' that she was doing in the sky, note the sarcasm, just at that moment we found this Rainbow Dash or I should say that she found us after she crash at me in the mud. After she help clean me and leaving a mess in my mane, I remark that she isn't doing her work on the sky, she told us that she will do her job after her pratice for the Wonderbolts, so I dare her that she couldn't do her job in 10 seconds, she took that as a challenge and in only 10 seconds with her incredible flying speed, leaving me stunned as she said her goobye and go for her practice.
After that, Spike and I go for the next stop on the list, the decoration, the pony in charge of this job was a mare named Rarity, we found her decorating the town hall and she was doing a good job, that was until she saw me and scream when she see the mess that was my mane, she took us to her botique saying that I shouldm't leave my mane in that state and she take a few hours dressing me a fixing my mane, after that she ask me where I come from and I just simple said: Canterlot, with that word she start to said how wonderful was the live in Canterlot and how she want to befriend with me, when she distracted for a second, I took that opportunity and flee with Spike out of Rarity's botique.
The last thing on list was the music, this time we come to find the pony in charge more in a quickly way and less time than Rainbow Dash as we hear the sounds of the birds chirpin behind some bushes. When pass thru the bushes we find a pegasus mare talking with a group of birds on a tree, I come closer to her and try to talk to her but her voice was so low I barely hear her name, Fluttershy, with nothing more to say and seeing that she was not having any trouble in this issue, I decide to leave with my assistant, but when she saw Spike, Fluttershy change her shyness mood to a excited one so quickly and start to talk to Spike and he talk about his entire life with Fluttershy and follow us all the way to the Golden Oak Library, the place Spike and I we will staying. with a little excuse, I trick Fluttershy to leave us as Spike and I entered the library.
It was so dark in the library as I explain to Spike that we don't have time to loose and I that have to convince the Princess that the prophecy could be true and that I don't have the time to waste befriending with these crazy mares. But suddenly the lights of the library were on and we encounter that the entire town was inside with us in this building, then I see the pony that I and Spike meet when we arrived in Ponyville, Pinkie Pie as she call herself, she was... A very excited mare about the fact that she want to know and befriends with me.
At this point I was tired of this matter and pay not much attention of was Pinkie Pie was saying, barely I undertand her saying that: 'having friends is good' and ' being alone is bad' while I grab a red bottle that was on a table and pour it out in a glass, then I drink this liquid I feel a burning and painful sensation in my mouth and belly and when I turn I to see Pinkie Pie, I saw the others ponies that I had meet in this day, but this feeling was so strong that tears were flowing out my eyes, I quickly go for some cold water to cure this feeling and rush upstairs, leaving away of everypony in the party.
Ponyville: Golden Oak Library
Fluttershy's POV
My friends and I look how Twilight run upstairs after what she had drunk, looks like she her was hot sauce that Pinkie bring and left on the table, poor dear, I hope that she's alright. After a few hours Twilight hasn't come down yet while everypony were having fun in the party, Spike had go and talk with some of guests of the party while my friends and I reunited to discuss the issue with creature that our town had.
"Pinkie dear, I think you should be a little more careful with those things." said Rarity to Pinkie Pie who was pouring hot sauce in a cupcake that she was carrying.
"Sorry Rare I will be careful." replied Pinkie eating the cupcake.
"So, did any of you had any sight of the monster?" said Rainbow Dash lowing her voice with us.
"Well, no...But, my family and I and try what Fluttershy has told us, we tie the branches of the trees on a rope with bells, in that way we will know if the creature enter in the apple orchards." said Applejack
"And I had be helping putting some lamps at the crossroad to even Fluttershy's cottage." said Pinkie Pie smiling.
"Thank you Pinkie, I got my little friends to come in my cottage so they could be safe in there for a while." I said to my friends.
"Is unbelievable that we have to be isolated us by this awful beast." said Rarity a little down in her mood.
"Hey and what happen about if the monster is not really a mean meanie pants and it was just hungry and right now is living in the forest outside Ponyville while it avoiding any contact until he find a way to made it's own home?" said Pinkie Pie speculating surprising us.
"That's...Those are quite interesting thoughts dear." said Rarity a little unsure, I don't blame her.
"Anyway, Mayor Mare told us that she will discuss this issue with Princess Celestia after the festival, she maybe can come with a solution to deal with the creature." said Applejack.
"That's good, after what it has done in Applejack's farm and scaring Fluttershy, it would has to deal with me." said Rainbow Dash bravely joking to cheer us, then we saw that Spike was coming in our direction.
"Hi girls, eh, sorry about Twilight's behavior, is a little difficult for her to make new friends." said Spike.
"Don't worry about it buddy, I'm sure that she just need-" Applejack was saying but she suddenly interrupted by Pinkie Pie.
"I know!..." said Pinkie excited as jump. "Why don't we play a game together, that way it could help her to be more open with us." said Pinkie Pie smiling.
"Huh? That could help, wait here girls I got for Twilight." said Spike as he left to the upstairs.
With that said, Pinkie suggest us to play a game to spend time, sadly Twilight decide to stay in her room, looks like something was worrying her so we let her be as we continuing having fun in the party as we wait for the dawn to come. I rembember my encounter with the young Liz at the forest, I hope that she and her brother had already leave that forest, I would have invited them for the party but with everything that was happening, but we already have little time to do our things. I wonder if I should told my friends about those two diamond dogs, but that thought had loss with the fun that we were having with everypony. Finally the time had come and everypony reunited at the town hall, I go with my birds friends so they could chirp their song for the festival, soon Mayor Mare will start the presentation and Princess Celestia will bring a new dawn for everypony.
