As the Summer Sun Celebration approaches, Princess Celestia sends the young Guard Lieutenant Twilight Sparkle to Ponyville to make final security and preparation checks. In Canterlot the Princess's Apprentice, Shining Armor, works to uncover the hints of an anarchist movement striking at the City's heart. When Night falls the young Princess Cadance is left trying to hold the heart of Equestria together in her aunt's absence

Discord is awakened by all of the drama from the changeling attack on Shining Armor's and Princess Cadance's wedding. Twilight Sparkle can't shake the whispers in the back of her head causing her to doubt her friends and family. Will Shining Armor and Cadance ever get to say 'I Do'? And what will become of Equestria?

Down on her luck and struggling to find her purpose in life, Derpy is approached by a mysterious stranger who offers her the chance to start anew and achieve her own destiny. Seizing the opportunity, she begins an exciting journey of self-discovery that changes her life forever, making new friends and enemies in the process, and becoming somepony she never thought she could be; a guardian of the night with a penchant for muffins.

And . . . it's the royal wedding Princess Cadence and Shining Armor!!!

Seen this a million times before right? Except . . . not. While there have been many experiences to the ponies now their timeline has broken away from the Heart World, something is VERY WRONG here. With fate no longer totally on their side, and no true certainly and against an enemy that takes 'fighting dirty' to a whole new level, can the heroes still pull off a happy ending for everypony?

Set soon after the season 8 premiere. Even Chancellor Neighsay of the Equestria Education Association has to respond to a summons from Princess Celestia. His attempt to shut down Princess Twilight's School of Friendship has had repercussions, and she intends to discuss them with him... the poor sap.

Words and actions can sometimes hurt more than we know, sowing betrayal and hatred where friendship and innocence lies. A single thoughtless action can be a tipping point, one fallen domino setting off hundreds. Look back, and answer me.

There are many stories where Twilight tells off her friends after the Wedding. But that's not really Twilight's bag, she gets worried she's failed, or depressed, not angry. So here is a different bridal path, one where Twilight acts decisively to try and redeem herself in the eyes of her friends and sovereign, and ends up travelling to places she never imagined, facing dangers and foes she never dreamed of and making even stranger friends. Of course, there is still a 'reason you suck' speech delivered, but delivered by the last person anyone would expect...
