Eric Reed has been stuck in Equestria for months, but he had always found it too weird to look at ponies in a romantic way, so he accepted he'd never have a romantic relationship.

Until now. He finally develops a crush on a mare and wants to ask her out...except he has one little problem: he's awful at asking out anyone/anypony he really likes! But with help from his friends and their varying advice (Even she will try to help!) he tries to ask out his pony crush.

But with his nerves, will any kind of advice help him not embarrass himself?

This story takes place after my "A Giant Adventure to Equestria" story, but it's not required to read it first to understand this story, other than to learn about the backstory of the OC human character Eric Reed, how and why he's in Equestria, and how his bonds with the other characters formed. Eric Reed is an eighteen-year-old young man, who loves watching My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and is a big fan of the show. Eric has a good heart, has a good sense of humor, but can be prone to expecting too much from others, is a bit immature, and doesn't have many friends.

One day, he suddenly wakes up in Equestria, and to further add to his huge shock, he's only about one-inch tall. After a frightening meeting with Princess Twilight Sparkle, he asks for her help to find out how and why he's in Equestria, why he's so small, and where to go from there.

The good news: Being a fan of the show, Eric already had some knowledge about the new world he's in and his new friends. The bad news: It won't help nearly as much as he hoped and may cause its own problems. And the worst news: He'll have to face the dangers and struggles that being so small and powerless would present. But they may not be what you think, and some struggles could come from completely unexpected and trustworthy sources.

But he won't be the only one to struggle...

EDIT on 03/30/19: I wasn't going to have Equestria Girls be "canon" when I wrote this story, but because of some confusion, I edited a bit of some chapters to let EQG be "canon". However, this ret-con to the story won't affect how the story goes.

EDIT on 07/28/19: To help fix a pacing problem, I added two chapters to show more of what happened that was previously "off screen". These chapters, what will now be chapter 6 and chapter 16, are written in a way that won't ret-con the story. There are minor edits to the start of what's now chapter 7, the very end of chapter 15, and a bit of chapter 17 to fit the chapters between them, but there's no actual ret-con.

This story is a sequel to When Dating Advice Doesn't Work...

After being rejected by a mare he formed a crush on two weeks ago, Eric Reed starts to develop feelings for another mare, Sunset Shimmer. But fear of being rejected again, because of his "real-life" appearance, makes Eric hesitant to put himself out there to try to ask Sunset out.

Will he conquer his fear and ask Sunset to go on a date? If he does, how will Sunset, who's oblivious to her friend's changing feelings toward her, react?

And if she indeed says "yes" what's next for the two?

This story (obviously) has continuity from the story "When Dating Advice Doesn't Work..." story. However, enough will be explained to not require reading it to understand this story.

Both stories also take place after the events of my "A Giant Adventure to Equestria" story. I am a human who really, really wants to go to Equestria. Strongly believing that it's possible, I undergo intense research into the possibility and concoct up a blend of crazy, never-heard-of-before science to spawn a portal and get to the land. When there, I must go down the path of a new life, with adorable, amazing ponies by my side along the way. How many friends will I make? And will I find a best friend forever?

My name is Luke Vaneer. I don't know how I got here or what I'm doing here in the first place, but this crazy, backward world of Equestria... is actually quite nice. I've managed to find myself a job, a place to stay, and I've become good friends with the town's local heroes and other friendly ponies.

However, what I may be missing in my life, even before I was transported to this world, was love. I was never a ladies man, nor was I always outgoing. I've always thought love would find me, but luckily this Hearth's Warming I think I may have a chance to shoot my shot with a certain blue pegasus I've been crushing over.

Connor is your average guy in his mid-twenties. He has a stable home life but can't help but feel his parents are hiding something from him. After going camping, he wakes to find himself in Equestria and sets out to make the most of his time there. But interesting discoveries are made along the way, along with the attention of fiery maned pegasus mare....

Note: There is some use of strong language in this story. Also MLP (sadly) doesn't exist in this story. The story starts around half way through the first season.

Note 2 (26/12/16): Sex tag added (during writing for Chapter 25) for obvious reasons. Nothing explicit or detailed but things implied and use of innuendo.

One day after finishing trying to help another pony get their cutie marks, a train appears out of thin air and falls outside the Crusaders Treehouse. When they enter, they meet a mare with a story that sounds too fantastic to be true, talking about traveling between universes in pursuit of an evil known as the Shadow Line.

But when the Shadow Line's footsoldiers attack Ponyville, the Crusaders step up to try and take down the footsoldiers which draws the attention of the same mare from before. She offers them a chance to defend their home from this invader, one that may yet become something more.

This fic is based on and adapted from Ressha Sentai ToQger, but is more based on Power Rangers than anything else.
