It's been months since the disappearances started, at first it was fillies and colts, but then mares and stallions started to disappear as well. Shot Lock, a detective for canterlot was sent to investigate these strange disappearances, but he could only find one thing in common, the everfree forest.

He goes and gathers up a search team, can they solve this mystery, or is it all a lost cause?

The three Sirens, Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze, and Sonata Dusk, once the most terrifying creatures of all of Equestria now reduced to mere human beings. However they still have their abilities of song, and can still manipulate the minds of others to adore them. One night while collecting energy, they come across something mysterious, something they never expected to find, something that will change their lives, especially the life of their leader forever.

This story is a sequel to Sex On A Desk

Keeping what had transpired in Sex On A Desk as a secret between the two rivals, the story continues several weeks after the Sonic Rainbooms' crushing victory over the Dazzlings at the Battle of the Bands, with an emotionally ambivalent Sunset Shimmer uncertain on what to feel about her brief and yet heated affair with the Dazzling’s lead singer, Adagio Dazzle, who has yet to return to school.

((Although not essential, it is preferable to read the prequel.))

Two weeks after the Rainbooms defeated the Dazzlings in the battle of the bands, Adagio Dazzle finds herself alone and powerless, struggling to keep herself together. Her entire world has been torn down: her sisters abandoned her, and to make matters that much worse, she has no money, and no place to live: the siren queen, crudely forced into a place that she's never been. Homeless, starving, broken. The future, so far, has held no good for her.

Sunset Shimmer, on the other hand, has had a wonderful few weeks with her friends. Everything is going perfectly: some say she's "the girl with everything". But truthfully, Sunset's life isn't all that everyone assumes it to be: everybody has secrets, and some are bigger than others.

After an unexpected encounter, Sunset and Adagio find themselves living together, tacking yet another secret onto Sunset, and making life even more difficult for Adagio. But in the end, we all must rebuild from the destruction that is our lives.

Pinkie Pie must find Sonata a new bra, like, now.

The Dazzlings are forced to spend a whole night with Pinkie Pie and her crazy sisters.

Rainbow Dash has a run-in with the cops.

After losing their magic, the Dazzlings are hit hard by shame and sadness. None are more hopeless than Adagio Dazzle, who loses all light in her life and begins to sing a swan song. For sirens, this is suicide.

Sonata Dusk begs for the help of Sunset Shimmer and her friends to stop the song and keep Adagio alive, but they discover that saving a life is more difficult than saving a school, and they may not be able to keep their former enemy from fading away forever.

This story was inspired by the song "Never Too Late" by Three Days Grace.

"Main 6" is tagged but Twilight is not in this story.
Rated Teen for language and mature subject matter.
