I've honestly not read something this funny in a long while.
Annnnnnd we're back! Pinkie and Sonata are cute together, it's good to see Pinkie being suffocated by a hug, she's usually the one doing the suffocating.
I'm worried about the other 2 dazzlings, they're almost as dumb as Sonata and need someone looking after them as well, but their personalities make that an issue. Maybe Trixie needs a pair of assistants with benefits? (I'm loving the Snips and Snails hanging with Trixie BTW).
The highlight of this chapter is, of course, Tushlight Stinkle. I hope we hear more about what Sunset writes in the book (and why "mom" dumped her copy off on Twilight).
Fluttershy NOOOO! You were doing so good conquering your anorexia, eating all those beans and cheese (with Sunset's "gentle persuasion"). Now you've fallen into the grips of bulimia? Looks like Sunset has a new mission!
Comedy aside, I really do love tales of redemption and personal growth, even if it looks like the Dazzlings have quite a long road ahead of them, I think they can make it...

Love how Sunset is characterized in this, that stuff with the book is priceless! Small nitpick, in the movie I believe the book Twilight has in Equestria has Celestia's cutie mark on it.
Faving and following since this is like the third or so story of yours that I favourited.
The bit where she just walks up to a guy and makes thinly veiled threats then stops to explain them as if they were too complex for him because she liked the way his meal looked had me laughing out loud.
The part where everyone parallels Sonata to Sunset was good, too.
As was the evil yogurt eating... Really the only bit that didn't have me chuckling was the sandwich sharing. That was gross.
Also
I see Adagio's seductive touching was more successful than she was probably planning on during her dance number.

So, did EQG 2 change how you're going to write Sunset in "The Wheel and the Butterfly"?
Well, I was considering reading this, but I think the Dazzlings are actually out of character. All that was said and shown, not just from the movie but also from the history bit Twilight explained, showed that though they were evil, they weren't pure evil. They wanted control, not deaths. Them killing or acting like they were just seems out of character. Case in point... why kill those that they've learned to drain negativity from? Killing a victim would be a waste of an energy source for them.

Sunset in RR is clearly a Sunset that's seen the error of her ways and is trying hard to be good. TW&TB Sunset has had no major events that make her realize she's sort of a monster even if not literally.
This Sunset is a little in between. Knows she's done wrong, but a bit snarky and irritable just because every one around her is insane.
All That Shimmers takes place immediately after EqG1, and is also where I'm writing a Sunset who's sort of figuring out the friendship stuff, essentially attempting to transition to how she was in RR. That's where the most impact to her character will probably hit. Though It's doubtful she'll ever stop being snarky completely.

I'm pretty sure you don't get their character in this. They haven't killed anybody yet, though they've threatened to and this is set after they lost their power to drain people... so I don't see that you have much of an argument.
This is also a comedy based on parodying characters by slightly exaggerating their personalities. Slightly. So these Dazzles will be a bit more aggressive and evil than the original, this Sonata will be a bit more stupid and so on and so on. The trick is that none of them have gained new personality traits, they always were evil or stupid or whatever, it's just showing them as somewhat moreso-- so they're warped but still easily recognizable as largely the same. It's humor comes from the fact they still resemble themselves.
This is most visible if you go read the previous story in this series (Cafeteria Control), while comparing it to the Rainbow Rocks previews-- in particular preview four, which is linked in the comments, and chapter 0.
It is a very common type of comedy, you can see it in many forms, such as pretty much every skit where a comedian impersonates a celebrity or political figure.
