Being reincarnated in another world... It sounds like the stuff of fantasy, but when a human wakes up in the body of a pony, they realize that fantasy has become reality. Only, it’s not the Equestria that we know. Everything is slightly…off. How will they fair in this strange, new world? Please follow this far-flung foal as they navigate life in the magical world of Equestria.

TLDR: This is the story of a human, who has become a pony, in a RGRE universe

(This is my first ever mlp fanfic)

What senses do you use? And how often do you use them? Which one do you think you use the most? The least? If you had to choose one to enhance? One to give up? Sometimes, you don't get the chance to choose.
Glassy eyes leave one crippled but, maybe there's hope in the form of telekinesis.

This story is simply about a blind filly's start in life. Though, she's not all that she seems...

Hello there! It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m guessing you’re here because you want me to tell you about… well, about how all this happened.

You know. This whole, ‘turned into a fictional pony and smashed full-speed ahead into the plot of said piece of fiction’ thing.

I know, I know. Kind of cliche, really. But let me just tell you, it doesn’t feel cliche when it’s your life.

So as I was saying, it’s nice to meet you! My name is Sunset Shimmer, and this is the story of how I got transported to Equestria through this huge portal, turned into a pony that isn’t even the most like me and loved it, and helped save Equestria and the world along the way.

Yay, me?

An attempt at a semi-realistic TF/Self-Insert, with a few twists.

Partway though her second year at CHS, Sunset Shimmer unexpectedly learns she's been appointed a princess of Equestria.

Also, her old homeland needs her to return immediately.

Prereaders of all or parts of the story: Kirtai, FanOfMostEverything, JP, Shirlendra, EileenSaysHi, Carlos S., Secret Artichoke, (I think I got everyone, but if I left you out, please send me info I can use to confirm.)

Art notes: I made the cover image by editing MLP comic panel and show art.

From the back cover of Daring Do and the Return of King Kookaracha by A.K. Yearling:

In a blast from Daring's past, King Kookaracha returns to confront our intrepid adventurer, and this time he has a daughter! The king wishes to get revenge from Daring for the loss of the cursed chalice by making her reveal the whereabouts of a temple which he believes holds the power he would need to form an unstoppable empire.

However, in a surprise turn of events, King Kookaracha and Daring Do soon find themselves teaming up when the king's daughter is kidnapped by a mysterious foe. Will the duo be able to save the king's daughter and beat the kidnapper to the secrets that lie within the temple?

Given that this is a spin-off of VDrake77's The Changeling of the Guard, reading said story is highly recommended for both context and entertainment, though not strictly necessary in order to understand what is going on.

A thousand years ago in Equestria, Luna's frustration and desperation has been building for years and years as her social and political isolation grows, but just before Luna's jealousy and resentment can turn into murderous hatred against her sister, a new event triggars Luna's mental collapse and pushes her over the edge. When Luna by circumstance finds herself alone in Celestia's room she reads her sister's diary out of curiosity and discovers all of the disparaging criticism that Celestia has leveled at her over the years about how much of a nuisance Luna has been to her, but has been too polite to say directly to Luna's face.

Luna and Celestia had always supported and stuck with each other all their lives. Even when the common-ponies critisism and shunning of her was at its worst, the knowledge that her sister loved her kept Luna going. The realization that nopony, not even her own sister valued her or thought she was fit for the throne completely shattered whatever remained of her fragile psyche.

And so Luna just gave up...

She gave in...

If no one wanted her there...

Then she wouldn't stay there...

She would leave.

This story is a sequel to Changing Expectations

When ages are segmented and divided in the annals of history, it is done so with great events as breakpoints. The Second Age of Heroes was unanimously declared to have started with the return of Princess Luna and the changeling Invasion of Canterlot.

For thousands of years, the changelings survived beneath The Great Tapestry, that which connects all living and nonliving things. Hundreds of generations worked endlessly to keep their existence a secret. With one command from Queen Chrysalis, the Masquerade was broken.

In a single night, the changelings waged war against Equestria and took the Kingdom by storm. Months later, the war between changelings and ponies has ended. A new tapestry, a new story, must be woven between the two species. Equestria and the Fifth Hive have gone through a dark chapter and have emerged stronger for it.

One war ends and another begins.

As The Sword of Damocles hangs above the heads of the formerly-human King Phasma and his Equestrian counterparts, the forces of light must work on an ever-shortening window before war once again brings Hell to Equus. Dark powers grow in the places that the light does not reach, and they bring one irrefutable truth.

Epitaph is coming.

Story was almost cancelled, but then I realised that I still wanted to keep writing just a little further.
Just some forewarning though. This story is not for everyone. It is a slow-burn slice-of-life which lacks much serious threat. There is no big villain, and the storyline progresses quite slowly and you may get bored.
I am still new-ish to writing, so the writing quality (especially surrounding characters and dialogue) may leave something to be desired.

A story about someone with limited knowledge of the show, (basic facts on a small scale, no timeline stuff) wakes up as an alicorn (early-teen) in Canterlot. He is not happy about this fact.

General info:
No, they do not have OP alicorn powers. Yes, they are sort-of a foal, but not of baby age and this will not affect their personality or emotional-capacity in any way.
Gender swapping? No, I asked in the comments, people want a male alicorn.
Will this impact my other story (Clouds)? Probably, depends on if people want me to continue it or not.

Rarely, a Dark Lord can conceal things from their own followers, and conspire in their own death. Perhaps that's why so many video game bosses are so easy to kill.

Similarly rarely, A Dark Lord may be immortal- or have some sort of curse causing him to return.

And very, very extremely rare is a Dark Lord that falls into both categories- and fights against their own supporters after their own death.

Lord Voldemort was one such Dark Lord. He also had quite a surprise waiting for him when he returned under a new name nobody would ever suspect her under- and learning that Harry wasn't a boy either... wasn't it. As a matter of fact, neither she nor Harry were ordinary by any stretch of the imagination, despite looking the part!

Really too bad she was sick and tired of being powerful. That meant it was a good thing there were so many strange new students about... right?

Possible triggers: Rule 63 of the Internet.

A new story that could potentially be called a rewrite of Accidental Invasion despite focusing on a very different storyline, thanks to certain (major) story elements I'm borrowing from it- and reworking to be a little more realistic, of course. That said, I'm also raiding some concepts from The Boy who Disappeared, and from all over- you could also call it a culmination of all my works.

Updates on Thursdays.

It's worth note that this story is meant to be a lot more... comedic than my other stories. I'll be keeping it "serious", but it's more likely to be "silly-serious" with silly stuff sprinkled in. Not nearly as random as, say, The Gate... but still a bit. You'll get what I mean by the end of the second chapter.

And... I suppose I should say it, shouldn't I? Tags may be updated as the story progresses. Emphasis on may, because I've said that every time but really never gone back to update the tags even when it was warranted.

This story is a sequel to A Very Batty Hearth's Warming

The small village of Nocturnis is growing, things are peaceful, the magical dome to protect the town is close to completion, the train is once more working to connect to the rest of Equestria and Princess Luna is coming to visit. Things are looking good for Prince Page!

He really should have known better than that.
