Friendship can be found in the most unlikely of places. It can happen on a completely ordinary day to some, and a desperate struggling day to another. Some might say that it doesn't matter how it begins, but instead what is important is how things proceed. However, even from those who say that, the question will eventually come up.

How did you meet?

This is the tale of how one friendship began, when two different younglings, one changeling and one pony, found themselves meeting the other.

Life can be boring and repetitive at times, but one way or another the universe usually finds ways to spice things up. Then there are those who do so themselves in order to further a goal. There are also those who simply are the recipients of one of many random events. Finally, there are those who are willing to change, but just do not initiate it. These are the ones that are most vulnerable to outside forces who decide to shake things up a bit.

A normal stallion living a normal life has caught the universe's eye as in need of a little something more. Rather than just send him signs to find a mare, a different approach is decided. A certain tiny approach, one who will change the life of this stallion just as he will shape its.

Of course, just because some initiated change doesn't mean that chance will give up on plans it already had for that stallion. Looks like life is about to get a whole lot more interesting.

This story is a sequel to An Alternate Path

Much has changed in a few short months in Equestria. Changelings, once feared and hated, are now starting to become full citizens, and some are choosing to live amongst ponies. A particular nymph, Gel, first sparked the movement and is now living happily with her unicorn husband. However, there are always new challenges on the horizon, and the most obvious to this couple is their first child.

Watch as this young couple take on the challenges of being new parents to the first recorded case of a pony-changeling hybrid. What will this child be like? How will they act? Only time will tell. Friends are always there to help, family as well, but there are some ponies who weren't so accepting of changelings, and one can only imagine how they might react to a literal symbol of their integration.

Side Story: The Start of Something New: Private Moments (NFSW)

This story is a sequel to Crossroads of Possibility

A young unicorn colt and a changeling nymph have bonded as friends. To them, everything seems fine with the world as they play. They don't put too much though into what might happen if others find them, why would they? They aren't doing anything wrong. They're just hanging out and having fun. However, some don't see the situation so simply.

What if someone does see them? With one race of secrecy and the other thinking the first is just a myth, can such a friendship exist? The children's answer to that seems clear. Everyone else though... not so much.

This is one of two sequels to my standalone fic Crossroads of Possibility that shows things continuing directly from the prequel, asking how would life change for both main characters if they were to be together for an extended amount of time.

A sort of Alternate Universe version of my other story, An Alternate Path and an actual Alternate Universe to Studies in Equinity. Familiar characters can be seen in a different environment, and environment shapes characters just as much as they do themselves. This is the cute sequel as opposed to the mature one.

A sort of fun idea had by myself and my co-writer, enigmaMystere, in which we hope to use what we learned from our previous tale to improve on it in all ways we can, while still sort of light-heartedly letting the characters play out to see where things go.
