It's a little bit funny, really.

Whenever Rainbow Dash talks to me about the next few weeks, she always does so laughing.

I suppose I find it silly because—objectively speaking—it was still as sad an experience as all the others she had been embroiled with at that particular juncture in her life.

But... heh... Rainbow Dash is awesome. She can turn pure calamity into something hilarious in afterthought.

And believe-you-me, despite the best of intentions, she was about to endure some major calamities.

Boy were they calamities.

A new arc. Could be about Listing Breeze; could be about finding Lancie. Or, it could just be about Rainbow gambling a bunch of bits in Las Pegasus for about 30 chapters of fillers. Anything could happen. But Midnight is predicting a massive intake of cider and mishaps to occur. And when she gets back, the slice of life arc will obviously have nothing to do with any non-existent races that were never before mentioned or foreshadowed.

On an unrelated note, I was thinking about this story the other day. I was wondering what it would be like for AJ if she discovered what Dash had been doing and how she felt. Then I got around to wondering how I'd feel. I came to the disquieting realisation that, in reality, I'd probably be incredibly freaked out to find the extent of obsession. Anyone else agree? Or am I just petty?

Has anyone noticed that Applejack has taken to bringing up past incidents that have embarrassed Stu, while they're visiting with others in public? He becomes embarrassed and/or defensive when she does this, but eventually crumbles. Then she laughs at him.

What's up with this? Why does Applejack delight in making Stu feel uncomfortable and inferior? The outward appearance is that she resents him. But why?

6959767 This story is more of a "come for the promised Appledash, stay for the daily updates and compelling/sometimes hilarious dialogue and storylines" type of fic. If you want romance between the titular characters past awkward exchanges and middle school style crushing, it's not for you. But it's filled with great pop culture references and downright hilarious at times.

Well, Part Twenty-One was a hell of a long, slow arc. Took me a day and a half it did, with me not doing much else. It had some charming camp scenes, an exciting tornado scene, some development for Stu, adorable Trixie, supportive and somewhat assertive Fluttershy, and ... the more unsavory side of Dash's personality, but potential for progress, if she can indeed move on ... and then move back just in time for cuddles. Though really, the prospect of her finding a new true love excites me more. What Appledashery was ended with Discord's revelation, and this in many ways felt like an interlude. I wonder what act two will bring. And I wonder how I'll stay sane once I catch up.
