The Trial of The Champion is a time honored event between Celestia's Sun Guard and Luna's Moon Guard. The event is used to remember the founding events of their forefathers who had guarded the princesses long ago. This year, however, two newly formed regiments have been allowed to compete in the week long events. Princess Cadence's Legion of the Heart and Princess Twilight's Witch Brigade.

Hi, my name is Ember. I used to be a human, but after meeting this freaky woman, I'm in Equestria, and I was even transformed into a dragon. Sounds Cool right? It. Sucks. Equestria is just like Earth, and I want to go home. It's not much fun living in a world with technicolored ponies, especially when you have to deal with tons of prejudice. When Dialga and Palkia start to attack one another in Alamos Town, a Ponyta named Flare Blitz is caught in the crossfire. After falling into the dimensional rift, he finds himself in a strange new land filled with brightly coloured ponies. Flare doesn't know how he got here or if he can even get back home...

The question is, will he even want to go home?
