Twilight Sparkle broke time when she got her cutie mark. Now Twilight and Sparkle are sisters from another time. Twilight is hailed as the potentially greatest light magician of all time, and already has a reputation as a hero by the time she goes to Ponyville. This isn't her story, not primarily.

Sparkle is an orphan - her dark magic killed her parents. She lives with her brother in Canterlot's industrial sector because they can't afford anything better. She can't leave either. She's a natural dark mage; while Sparkle won't go mad like Sombra, her reputation is hardly any better. Worse, the law doesn't see her as a good pony.

The fact that the dead don't stay dead around her, or that Thorn - Spike's double - is an undead, soul-eating abomination, are other matters altogether.

He's always had his head in the clouds with his ideas, but when he gets it into his head to try to prove that the skies aren't just for pegasi anymore, he'll embark on a journey that will take him all over Equestria. In the magical land of Equestria, ponies speak of great heroes and greater adventures, of foes overcome, and of hardships bravely faced. This is not one of those stories.

Sometimes, a mare is just a mare. Yet, just sometimes, even an unremarkable footnote of history might be worth listening to. Princess Luna loves her little ponies, be they old or young -- and on the night before the new year's dawn, she takes the time to visit a jaded old mare.

Because even a pony in the twilight of her days deserves help, whether she will admit it or not.

Originally written for a contest back in 2013.

Pinkie doesn't tell ponies about Pinkamena and Surprise. The doctors said that they were bad for her, that they were a disease, but she disagrees. Sure, Pinkamena's a bit of a grumpy-pants, but she's still a great friend! She's often the voice of reason to counter-act some of the other two's crazier ideas, after all. Surprise, on the other hand, is a great prank-player, and always up for some fun. She's more like Pinkie, only more hyper. Both are great fun to be around, and they get on well.

Thing is, she knows that if she told ponies about them, then they would be dragged back to the hospital. And then be 'treated' again. None of them want that. Because of this, not even her best not-in-head friends know about them. The three of them have, for years now, been careful enough to keep the existence of Pinkamena and Surprise secret.

This has, of course, gone out the window now that Twilight is hammering on the door after overhearing one third of a conversation, with no sign of anyone else talking.

Hints of F/F shipping inside. Nothing will actually come of it here, though. Maybe in a future story.

When Rainbow Dash finally agrees to come along with Fluttershy and see a butterfly migration, the blue speedster expects a relaxing, even boring camping trip, not a journey of discovery regarding the true natures of herself and her foalhood friend.

Takes place around the 15th of October, YOH 1500, right after "Call of the Cutie" in the TV series.

This is a sequel to "A Robust Solution" in the Flutterarc, but you don't have to have read the other story first.

Two thousand years before the Apple family would help found Ponyville and The Everfree Forest was called The Evergreen Forest. There lived a regal family born from the united idea that harmony for all pony and animal kind existed with the magic of the unicorn, the speed of the Pegasi and love for the soil from earth ponies. These new alicorns were prompted to lead and protect Equestria with the help of The Fire of Friendship.

Before Celestia and Luna would rule over Equestria, they watched from the sidelines and learned from their parents, Astrum and Morpheus. When Morpheus starts to question his own powers, he awakens a cold war. This ruins Equestria's feigned peace and its citizens begin to question if the pony tribes could ever unite as one without secrets. But as the stress builds an old friend's arrival only omens the return of a dark force once thought defeated. Now The Solus Heirs not only have to keep their citizens out of their suspicious plights, but their old friend's secrets hidden as well.

In the dark days of Discord's rule, Celestia called upon Vulcan, a minotaur blacksmith of legendary renown, to put harmony on his forge and hammer out a weapon with which she could defeat Discord. After Discord had been defeated, Celestia discovers he has also created a set of elements that oppose the Elements of Harmony. Vulcan is branded a traitor and is doomed to be imprisoned far, far away from Equestria. He has only one final request: to explain to the Princess why he created what he calls the True Elements of Harmony.
