Spike's life has always been one of boyish fantasy, lusting after the mare of his dreams and goofing off when not helping Twilight Sparkle. For as long as he can remember, he's always been Twilight's little brother first and assistant second. As an androgynous baby dragon, it's always been assumed that he was male based on what other ponies, namely Twilight, have said. Why would anybody have any reason to say differently?

Following traumatic and confusing circumstances, Spike is left with an enormous question on his hands. How could he have laid eggs? Only one pony has the answer, and it will shatter the basis of his entire life. Ultimately, life is only what you make of it, and it's up to Spike to determine where to go from there.

The wheels of fate turn in mysterious ways. When a unicorn colt has an accident on the edge of the Everfree, nopony knows who he is. Assuming his brain was jostled by the accident, they ignore his absurdist notions of not being from this world, and not being a pony at all. However, when he is involved a terrible incident that threatens the lives of his only friends in the world—Ponyville's three most rambunctious fillies—their friends and family begin to pay more credence to his claims.

For Warren Ashland, the clock is ticking as a chain of events that was set into motion the moment he woke in Equestria comes to a vicious head. The time will come when he must decide whether he wishes to stand alone as a human in the Equestrian world, or give it all up for his newfound friends. That is the common headline that most news stations and papers have these days. It started off small, with only two, then it grew with each passing day with no signs of slowing down. It was like a fanfiction come to life, something that seemed too surreal to be true, but yet was happening right before our eyes.

... Well, most people's eyes, because I was always cooped up in my room playing games. I tended to keep out of current events, usually paying no mind to them while I played stuff like Dark Souls. I would just wait it out until this blew over, as I was sure that everything would be back to normal.

I couldn't have been more wrong about that, as one morning, after having a Skyrim binge, I had the shock of my life when I discovered I was now inhabiting the body of Equestria's Queen of Electronica, Vinyl Scratch. Now, driven by nothing but sheer curiosity, I, Gage LeBoeuf, who was once a normal gamer from Louisiana, must now travel to New York to find answers and possibly a cure to my strange condition.

I mean, it's just a simple road trip; what could possibly go wrong? Turns out, almost everything.
