Ditto, a changeling from the attack on Canterlot, is flung far from her home and lands in Ponyville. She crashes into Twilight's library, and finds it a nice place to stay, quiet, abandoned, and peaceful. Until, of course,Twilight returns from Canterlot and finds her.

How will Ditto survive? She is lost, hungry, and far from her swarm.

Will the ponies find it in their hearts to help this poor, injured creature?

(Your standard Human in Equestria story, with some not so standard elements I hope. I came up with the idea after I saw that almost nobody thought of this. Please note that this is my first fan fiction, so, you know, the usual dribble. Also note that I have no idea as to what categories this falls into quite yet, so I'll be modifying as I go along. I always wanted to go to Equestria. When I got the chance, I took the deal without reading the fine print. To my surprise, I didn't arrive there as a pony, or even as a human. It seems I get to view this world from a different perspective than what I've imagined.

War comes to Equestria: with despair, with starvation, with suffering and with sacrifice. And the ponies must learn how to keep true to their values while surviving not just the rigors of battle, but the desolation of total war.

Beyond Earth and beyond the Universe within which Earth exists there is a place full of love; the richest mine of love that can be found, as it is seen by those capable of utilizing it...

Within that place, specifically a part of it called the Everfree Forest, awakes one such creature: a Changeling; specifically, a Changeling who had been a human on Earth the day before. How will he survive in a body that literally needs love for nourishment, while in a world that is now wise to the Changelings' tricks and has branded them evil? Better question: Will he be able to change more than his physical appearance?

These questions are not the only thing that will plague him, for the hows and whys of his arrival and transformation are in a hurry to reveal themselves, and Equestria's heart will stop as it waits for its fate to be decided.
