When their mother brings home an abandoned purple hatchling, and introduces him as Spike, the newest member of their family, both Garble and Smolder are more than thrilled. Garble even vows to be the best big brother he can be for Spike, no matter what he does or fails to do.

Spike wins the Gauntlet of Fire but decides not to give the Bloodstone Scepter to Ember for he has other plans in mind. Twilight and her friends are not thrilled to lose Spike but the Dragons welcome him. Spike discovers what Dragons are missing will lead them to prosperity.

Spike led Thorax into the throne room of the Crystal Castle confident he could convince the others that the changeling could be trusted. That he meant no harm, and instead wanted to be an ally and live peacefully with them. That he could make them see Thorax for what he really was. That they could befriend the changeling and accept him as one of their own.

They didn't.

And consequences followed.

When pranks are the name of the game, sometimes, you gotta take a break from it all, especially when you're reformed and no longer considered the "bad" guy. But, you'll always be considered the "weird" guy, and for Discord, the makings of a potentially huge prank are always best done with a splash of boredom.

However, things tend to take a turn for the worst if you don't know what you're doing, or don't take into account everyone that could be involved...

Once again Spike is left alone at the library while Twilight is away. Bored and tired of always staying inside he decides to go to a night club with a friend. While there he meets a mare that shows him to loosen up and live life to the fullest.

What if Spike was found in the Everfree by Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash? Then after taking him in and raising him as their son, how would life with a dragon for a son be?

Spike Solaris is just trying to live a normal teenage life with his mother Celestia, his aunt Luna and his friends, but only one problem; His father is the ruler of all dragons who wants to take over the world from the humans. Balancing a normal life while keeping the secret that he is half dragon from his friends is bad enough, throw in a power hungry 300 foot tall dragon as a father and that's only the tip of the iceberg on Spikes hectic life.

Spike considers himself to be a strong individual. Healthy, happy, but most importantly, sober.

Unfortunately for him, that changes during a night time Summer festival courtesy of Pinkie Pie. After a few dances and spiked drinks from Ponyville's delinquent Berry Punch, Spike finds himself getting drunk....by accident of course. And before he realizes what had happened, he finds himself in his room the next morning sleeping on top of Griffonstone's newest resident baker Gilda Gruff.

Spike will soon see if he is to come out of this situation beaten to a bloody pulp, or come out with a new special somepony to share his feelings with.

what if Spike was never raised by Twilight Sparkle? What if he was raised as a bonafide apple on Sweet Apple Acres, brother to Big Mac, Applebloom, and of course Applejack? What if his arrival as a hatchling had inadvertently prevented the deaths of Bright mac and Pear Butter?
