thank you for our weekly drug author-san, the addiction is hard to control.
It's always so hard to wait for this to update, but always so worth it. But then even with the size of these chapters, it always seems to end far too soon. Good stuff!
That's the real good stuff, yo.
Those weapons grade uranium and plutonium are still fairly stable, would be bad if they could spontaneously go off in storage or shipping. Still a good idea to keep that kind material hidden from that world.

Agreed. I eagerly await the next dose.
As always, happy to read Cure's shenanigans, more so with the idea of unleashing a buned up cure against celestia, she might decide to keep the cuddle bun to herself

I concur
Ever nice to read more of Cure's little social adventures. Gotta say the character interactions have to be my favorite aspect of this fic, peak slice of life with an interesting foot in the door premise.
Oooohhhh yeahhhh, there’s the good stuff. Even if I know I’m going to suffer withdrawals before the weekend. I miss the frequent updates of the early storytelling.
Frigid Glaze didn’t get crystalled? That could have been revisited, but maybe she just wanted to keep her coat “like dad’s”
ha i was wandering if we get to read this part, horny pegasi
bunny cure wave, i wonder if he busted that out on his little sisters too already xD
I suppose if he starts messing with his junk now, he won't ever know what his natural whangus would look like. That strikes me as something unfortunate, like if someone caused one of your arms, for example, to be short, and then you'd be forever unable to swim well.
Stingey instead of stingy
Snowburst instead of Snowburst
Only errors I found. I think there was a third, but I can't remember.
Anyway, not a lot to say that hasn't been said. I'm enjoying this just as much as I have been.
*Edit* upon review of my comment, it seemed auto correct corrected my observed error and in addition I can no longer find it in the story.
Seems snowburst was the mistake after all as a word search find it no longer exists
Imagine pinkie pie gets the idea from him
Wind Shear might have a little interest in Cure… won’t be too long before one of the fillies tries to get his first kiss. Ferris really stepping up; good job! Rising Pitch still working on the saxophone Cure bought her? I think so~
One month until the big trip! Other than a little estrus (lots of congratulations to hoof out) and a Summer Sun Celebration, I’m not sure what shenanigans await our heroes, but I greatly look forward to finding out!
Thank you, LiveFreeOrDie!!

I would think the real concern during transmutation would be accidentally creating a critical mass. The critical mass of a sphere of uranium-235 is just under 7 inches in diameter would weigh about 125 pounds. Some of the more exotic materials would take as little as about 7 pounds, or 3kg of mass. Cure isn't that far off being worried about creating a kilogram of the stuff ending explosively. I can't remember how a mid-high crystal relates to Cure's capacity, but a unicorn with a decent mana pool could easily ruin everyone's day if you assume the limits on transmutation are based on mass converted.
That's a bit of knowledge I would fully endorse Celestia keeping a firm lid on. In fact I would assume she doesn't know it at all or the transmutation spell would already be near the top the forbidden list. Imagine a magic or alchemy student playing with the spell just to see what they could create. You know, the more I think about it this is something Cure should probably warn Celestia about when he gets a chance. I guess an average random unicorn being able to make a pocket nuke on accident helps put the danger of Cure's in perspective.

I'm still hoping that Cure and the Princess decide on some shenanigans. (I'm rooting for Mini-me or the "clumsy unicorn with bits that keep falling off")
A more serious route would have the Princess pick his brains on advice with topics like otherworldly technology (adapted to Equestria), the guard (their lack of preparedness according to Cure), and of course the gender imbalance.
I know it is not what it is about, but when I read that chapter title, my brain defaulted to:
~Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows~
Thanks for the update!
Good chapter! I don't know why but I thought Rain may have been a changeling. Don't know why.

Just have a subcritical mass of certain elements would be a really BAD TIME (the demon core for example was only a little more than 6 kg). They have X-rays but who knows how advanced their nuclear medicine or equivalent is and even very small amounts of cobalt 60 will ruin yours and everyone else's day.
Of course this also means he might be able to hit an island of stability with some transuranic elements that would be extremely exotic.
Of course he should also be able to easily heal radiation damage... so would be one of the few to be able to deal with that type of stuff safely in the first place.
Taking this to the logical extreme it does mean that he is technically capable of building a biological drone delivered nuke should he actually want to...

At this point I'm quite certain that most of her tricks could be explained through his cheats. Neither I would be overly surprised would she end up his grand-something-daughter. Alongside Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer. Somehow.
Plot twist: Cure IS the changeling, but doesn't know about it.
-routinely transforms
-do helpful/adorable things to be likeable
-have messed-up (by someone?) memories
At this pace Cure is going to trigger Celestia's PTSD from the time of Discord's reign.
With how chaotically he behaves around his family, Discord actually has high chances of being adopted by Cure's family, even if just to say that he is his long lost brother
I believe Cure might be missing out on the dangers of transmutation. Like Discord and Twilight's entrance exam magic, dispelling the transmuation while ingesting or using it will produce horrific, if not, downright fatal goring. There might be a time component like Cure's "this is your body part now" experiment though. Except it also includes turning living being into non-living things.
I hope Cure and Early could partner up in business. I bet the partnership will cut down on market price by directly buying Crystals from the supplier.
Came across this and immediately thought of this story. If there's anything that Cure would want to scan to beef up his own armor and attack power, it's a Mantis Shrimp.

Can transmutation be dispelled though, or is it permanent?
There are lots of different kinds of transmutation, and it depends on what the author specifies this world's version is. It's apparently illegal to transmute objects into "precious metals," as Cure stated, so there must be at least some amount of permanency here.
I didn't get what wind was talking about but great ch
11530225
As far as I know or at least have it reasoned in my mind, Transmutation actually changes something in a physical sense, even if you used magic to do something, so it cannot be dispelled. Think Alchemy.
Transfiguration tho is changing something through magic and through magic it stays that way.
So you can't untransmute something with a dispel, but maybe a repair or time reversal or something more specific but you can untransfigure something with a dispel
So mass is conserved, which means volume isn't. For wildly-varying densities, I wonder what this does to shapes. Copper is about 6x the density of calcium, so does the transmuted wire get shorter, thinner, both, become a blob...?
That's labor-intensive as hell without mechanization, and requires specialized tooling.
Nowhere near. Little Boy (simplest design) used about 64kg of U235, which is slightly more than double critical mass, so you'd need to do a solid 32kg lump all at once to nuke yourself. Just don't give Twi any ideas.
So the economy relies on the honor system and nopony inflating the currency supply. The implications are left as an exercise for the reader.

Properly-trained Earth Ponies are physical gods, and Pegasi can fly, but damn if Unicorns aren't broken as hell.
Up to now I've been wondering where Cure is going to fit into the later stories and he's 90 years to go to the canon time period and many the changes he's making really will change the future. But now it's clear how he's going to fit in when Twilight and crew show up. He clearly will want to keep an eye on the mane six
So we should all welcome Cure's future undercover name.....hello Angel Bunny.
I’m not sure what to think about Delta Coast, and any “relationship” with Cure, but I keep coming back to inadequacy. She is feeling like she can’t compete with all the other girls for Cure’s attention; Dawn is a unicorn, training with Cure in magic, and spending lots of time with him. Glacial and Drift are pegasus, also teaching Cure how to fly, Cure has commented on their beauty, and are spending lots of time with him. Ferric has her cutie mark and has caught his attention (from Supply Run) and (unknown to Delta?) made him a custom gift for Hearts and Hooves that probably required more time and effort than anything Cure has done for any of the girls. RP was given a saxophone, and at Hearth’s Warming, received a “wedding proposal”. Sapphire Is probably the only one that is “unthreatening” to Delta. Then, to top it all off, Cure has teased her about being “evil Savvy” etc. I almost feel sorry for the girl! Can’t wait to see where LFOD goes with everything. Heavy needs some love too, then there’s Rocky, from the early chapters, who’s pretty much dropped out of the story
11532396
wouldn't that be hilarious if rocky gets his cutymark in ice cream making
Just to be clear, was Wind wanting Cure to do something to her vagina?
11533996
Yeah, most likely. She probably wanted him to do something similar to her marehood that he did for both his mom and dam if I had to guess.
I think she more or less wanted Cure to give her a "super vagina" so she could keep her colt friend interested in her. So that he didn't go out and bring back another filly she had to compete with.
The girl seems to have some issues, and judging by that she has some sort of self worth/self esteem and potential jealousy issues apparently.
11533996
That or her butt
Also...as a btw...would definitely go with the bunny thing when they go to meet with celestia
11533773
Yea
11532396
Yes
You know? I'm just now reading these new chapters and i'm curious on how she would react now.
If you consider the mass energy equation, then each cute pastel pony controls about as much energy as the Tsar Bomba. Approximately 2.3 Kg of
matter converted to energy.
Great chapter. For some reason this poped into my head when reading the part about nerves. As an alternative to the copper for nerves he could make a pseudo fiber optic with a reflective tube with bioscience acting as the light. Some nerves could then convert the impulse to light pulses and back.
You had cure invent surfing in a later chapter
They: "You can't write slow-burn story!"
LiveFreeOrDie: "Bet."
:)
In the show, it seemed that everyone had those "dimensional pockets" to hold their bit bags. I do have to wonder if LFOD has been writing Cure as essentially reinventing something that's always been there.
OTOH, with Cure's foreknowledge and his tendency to do pranks, he should definitely leave some anonymous notes for Celestia:
"Luna Lives. T-minus 91 years. The Clock is Ticking."
"Stay close to the Purple Smart and watch out for bugs. They move ... when you're not looking at them."
"When your dog goes wandering off, PERSONALLY count the fucking stock he guarding!"
"oh! That's why I'm here!" pffft!
I forget what's the difference between Mark l and Mark ll cells again?
