Oh wow, I am right on time. Literally just checked saw no update but LFOD Online, refreshed, and there is the update I was hoping for. Now to get to reading.
Well that was an interesting ending, I can't help but stare at the imagined scenario at the end there myself.
Thanks for another awesome update to Cure's story LFOD. I am definitely looking forward to what will hopefully be another update next Monday.
Another great chapter
yeah 10k words is so much easier to digest all at once
Either early puberty is slowly creeping in or he is admiring her as one admires work of art. 🤔
Oh. Okay then.
*clears throat*
THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY!
Good chapter
Hedwig, Pottering around a bit are we.
Lol, forget dignity and embrace foolishness for fun!
I had to check and it was 1 year and 1 day from the day Cure got his memories. So much has happened since the first chapter. Damn
I didn’t get the ballpoint pen joke at first. Typography jokes, huh? Your Nerd Card is hereby upgraded to Platinum status.
Did you mean wrought iron?
It’s not rod. Wrought is an old word meaning worked or forged, as opposed to cast which, especially with stuff that reacts with oxygen as readily as iron, can give the finished material different physical qualities.
So we got thingmakers from the days when iron was used far more than steel being specific about whether a particular good was made from cast iron or wrought iron, and the names have stuck around ever since even though they’re not used much with more modern materials, which is why I’m not too surprised even though I’ve never run across this particular example of mishearing it before.
Sir, Cure is already one of the richest Stallions in Baltimare. All income he earns is tax exempt. And that’s before including his stipend as Grand Prince of Equestria.
Whatever he’s come up with will surely only accelerate the growth of his fortune.
<looks squarely at the 30 ball point pens on my desk, knows there’s another 30 near my front door, and takes into consideration how there is an aisle dedicated to them at staples>
…so I think it’s safe to assume all new bits minted Equestria for the next 20 years will eventually end up in Cure’s bank account.

Huh. I have, never in my life as far as I can recall, ever actually typed it out. It is indeed wrought. Today gets a green checkmark. I learned something new. Thanks!
Ze Googles:
SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP!!!!!!!!
Okay thats cute.
hehehe yup hes smitten.
Hahah yes he is. I also love the certificate part.
...how natural this all feels is not helping my shipping instincs one bit... or would the proper term be hindering?
Every time i hear about Dr Grant my mind goes to Jurasic Park.
Hahaha i forgot hes still keeping up the prank.... a part of me wonders if hes gonna actualy try it in the bedroom or not eventualy?
Ahhh sweet sweet irony.
LOL.
11885335
Don’t worry, there’s always a few that the numismatists manage to ah, “liberate from circulation” that won’t get stuck in there with nothing to be spent on.
11885341
Yep. Some blacksmith pony beat it into shape with a hammer before anyone transmuted that fence into magic unicorn gold. Had to say something before the bro got himself in trouble with Ferric using the wrong word is all.
I guess there’s been no signs of any changelings yet. Pooh.
Guard competition coming soon! I’ve got all my bits on Golden Hills taking the whole thing!! Oh, and isn’t Cure going to visit the Blueblood fillies’ dance school soon, too?
I thought Cure was going to submit the patent request for his nutritional supplements and cologne formulas. Princess probably wouldn’t say, ‘no,’ to a few prototypes.
I imagine he swung the racket good enough to kick up a light breeze and small cloud of dust. Glistening definitely now has Serpentus in her sights.
Thank you for the chapter!!! 👍👍
11885359
It was also an mirror to what Cure was thinking when celestia was getting up. was cute.
11885335
Now I'm starting to contemplate why I need a basket of 42 pens.
Also, why they are everywhere? Entry hall? Pens. Living room? Pens. Garage? Pens. Even in the damned bathroom.
This smells of conspiracy.
Props to ballpoint pens. Patents are different than production, sure, Cure can create and transmute as many as he’d like, but the cost benefit that we enjoy is based upon volume and ease of plastic fabrication. It’s definitely a million bit “invention” IF he makes the machines that make the product, but how much time does he want to spend fabricating. OR does he sell the patent and let others produce? Savvy Venture’s cutie mark when? Yeah, she’s not yet one year old, but she’s perfectly positioned to be Cure’s business manager!
Also, velcro when?
11885359
Dance school I think is this coming (or next weeks?) Saturday
11885376
And three in different pockets!
11885376
He just invented something that will be ubiquitous throughout Equestria if not the world. That pen alone will make him one if the richest beings in history.
Also, I found another 3 pens in my car.
Cure needs to be careful teasing Celestia about sleeping in; HE is her “2nd in command”. Sure, he’ll need a couple years to grow into his alicorn abilities (Arcanum did he call it? I’ll have to go check), but Celestia will remember this morning and will “call in sick” as soon as Cure demonstrates enough power!
Happy Late Anniversary for the story! I know it doesn't line up with real life, but since chapter 1 started September 1, 908 it has been a year and a day of crazy for Cure Wave, plus family and friends. Here's to many more!
LFOD, you are my favorite MLP writer, no contest. Easy Top 3 of all fanfiction I've ever read, and since I read more fanfiction than offically published works, Top 10 writers of english literature. If you ever stopped writing this story I would cry, and if you ever dropped the pen forever I don't know what I'd do, but it wouldn't be pretty. Thank you so much for sharing your words!
11885401
Well, keeping at least one pen on your person just seems prudent I guess.
11885403
Okay, it was not a pen but a pencil but to this day I'm quite baffled, to be honest. Get this, I found a pencil in a 1kg bag of cake flour. Heck, I even checked if the bag was punctured but no.
I wonder if the next chapter will continue on from where this one left off and continue with Cure's visit to Ashwood.
Gotta say, that near-worshipful and very detailed description of snoozing Celestia at the beginning was notably... vivid.
The mention of Cure's "prepubescent horn" certainly helped to frame Cure's own feelings on the matter. I guess his growing body is still getting to him at times.
Must be complicated growing to adolescence a second time - in an unfamiliar body, no less!
And having to contend with Celestia's distracting physique can't make it any easier.
I am curious what Glistening's objective at the end was.
Was she hoping to nail the new prince in the snout, or was she just showing off?
And to think that Cure didn't give Celestia the heavenly hug, if he took the size bigger than hers, and filled his chest with feathers it would be the most comfortable hug ever felt, since just the hug from wings is incredible, imagine being completely covered on soft wings and still lying on them, is the seventh heaven

It's sad that he's so young, so that makes me more excited for when he's older.
loving Cure X Celestia as always with their shenanigans, can't wait for this:
as for the ball pen, nice idea for a quick cash flow for cure, he wasn't as "bad" as he can be with the patent guy, i wonder what the reaction will be when he finds out who cure really is
There's no reason not to appreciate a mare when opportunity presents itself.
Going to need to watch out for those so-called elite ponies. Even their fillies are unabashed enough to try making him look a fool! Cure is going to have so much fun making them all into fly traps. Excellent reflexes though.
What's odd is how quickly they accepted his apparent familiarity with wings when they also accepted his apparent inexpertise with a horn, since supposedly folks know he was an earth pony to start out with and thus would have the same disadvantage holding things with wings in comparison to the mouth. But we suppose that's a good excuse as to why his mouth was free to catch the ball to begin with.
Pens are practical and an improvement on quills and fountain pens in nearly every way. A good import.
11885434
She likely expected him to flinch away, setting him up for ridicule after his boast. Didn't expect him to freaking catch the ball though. 😂
Ah I see he is apart of the club. Nice
Well, at least some ponies still seem to consider
CureSerpentus an Earth Pony where it counts.Unfortunately, they're Unicorn bigots.
I half expect a paper to publish an article framing his performance at the end of this chapter in a negative light, which will backfire and endear him to the public.
Celestia will assume Cure tampered with her copy of that paper as a prank and disregard it until somepony asks her about it.
I know that Cure likes Celestia, and I love seeing them interact; though, I can't help but wonder if he will be hit with an unexpected case of puppy love. I can just imagine how each of his current fillyfriends would react.
:)
...well, now I want a Cure Weaved™. Lifesize, minky fabric, detachable Serpentus magic staff, all them premium things and accessories.
Ngl, kinda hoping that cure teases Celestia with "the royal bakery" ...maybe with her even going "but we dont have a..... oooooh"
I'm really curious how Cure would respond to someone who is going against his aspect, like suicide ideation.
What can Cure do to someone who truly believes they should go?
Nice
11885491
Knowing the posh unicorns of Canterlot High Society, they probably figure cloudbrain wings are easy enough for even any random mud pony to figure out chop chop. Especially when you consider their most likely only direct experience with wings is that wing spell that went so swiftly to Rarity’s head and the automatic instinctive expertise it temporarily imparted on its target.
11885694
eh, life is all about freedom of choice. Throwing your life away is also a choice.
cringeworthy
Thanks for the chapter!
Booo! Not enough dick jokes!
Approx. a century later...
Twilight: This new ballpoint pen Fifteen-Hundreds is really the marvel of pony engineering! Now I can write 100 scrolls continuously without worrying it would run out of ink!
Spike: <grumble> If I breake my wrist from overwritting, I will bill Cure the treatment fee.
Ah yes, the Ballpoint Pen15.
A convenient tool for everyone.
I wonder what else Cure could “invent” that is mostly harmless, ubiquitous, and would made him a lot of money.
…
What do you mean he invented paper towels and paper plates?!

I dont get it. Why is it called that?
11886487
Pen Fifteen.
Pen 15.
PenIS.
It's a dick joke.
11886578
..........oh. thanks.
