I love his rant at the end
Was not expecting a surprise!Princess Celestia to show up in this chapter.
Mandatory "The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell."
That meeting with celesti went way better then Cure thought in the beginning, only to have it made better with tax refund idea.
The fact he is helping with the birthing season is also a great part of the chapter.
As usual, great chapter to eead... Can't wait for the next one
Thanks for the update and amazing work as always!
I loved how you portrayed Celestia in this!!
So good!!
.
I loved this whole part here. It feels very accurate to her

I completely acknowledge your declaration of it being a SoL, and I will say this story and "A Roegadyn in Equestria"are two stories I do look forward to seeing updated. What I'm anxious about is seeing if Cure can make fully functional Pseudo-Alicorns... and if he does learn how to biologically reverse aging and the public learns about it... what's happen. Now with the revelation of another like Cure... ability wise is gonna be interesting. What will happen if they did survive and then appears in front of Cure...?
SHE NUZZLED! SHE NUZZLED AND TOOK HIS MUSTACHE! There is hope for the Celestia x Cure ship yet!
Absolutely love the way Celestia was written this chapter, always up for happy, motherly, mentorly Celestia. With a side of seed theft.
About time Sunbutt showed up!

Giggity?
Seriously, though, I can see both sides of the argument. Cure's, once again, showing his 'greedy little shit' side, which I think is a pretty human reaction. Notice she didn't say when they took the seeds, though? For all he knows this happened the day after his family blasted magic all over the place, so it could have happened before they established contact with him and started thinking more along the lines of, "Oh, this kid's okay, he's just makin food for the family."
“Strange trees giving out rocks is no basis for a system of government!” -Cure, probably…
Goid chapter! I would have liked to have seen more of the birthings but still really enjoying it

Radiant Hope is a female Crystal unicorn pony who appears in the IDW comics My Little Pony: FIENDship is Magic story arc Siege of the Crystal Empire. She is a childhood friend of King Sombra. And she still very much alive.
(Still haven’t figured it out if the comics is Canon)
11477301
Ohh I haven't read the IDW comics so those stories and plots are alien to me
11477258
Ha ha ha provided he can live eternal
Huh, now I'm curious as to what limits royalty actually has at what they can do. Mind you I already know that it does differ in different time periods, it's still an interesting subject to look up.
11477275
Kinda like Excalibur and the lady of the lake in Monty Python and the Holy Grail...
Oh Radiant Hope!
All you need is an age spell that can reverse a day. Think about it’s easier to do a day then 500 years.
Okay that’s it I’m adding a portal to this universe instead of a doorway.
Well that should be illegal.
All I could think during the birthing scene is this.
Cure missed his chance to ask if an Earth Pony like him could attempt the impossible by attending her gifted school without his chest horns.
In other news...
Hey, Wordsmith! Have you seen a video on youtube called Homunculus (if I remembered correctly) where this dude inseminated a chicken egg and let it hatch over time? It is very morbid, seeing that thing with functioning human-like features.
This leads to my segway: what of griffon and pony families? Or other mix and match combos? What if they tried for a baby? My probably out of date research indicated that their chromosomes doesn't fit nicely and would either fail to develop the egg or it would become a humonculi.
But I do believe genetics between different sentient creatures might be close enough to form a normal creature.
Could a pony be hatched in a griffon egg? Assuming that the griffons laid eggs instead of live birth.

He kinda missed asking about her school, but mainly because she showed up unexpectedly after he'd worked longer than he's used to. I think there were three references to him being exhausted. Deed's comment right when he gets home, his slip up in front of Lemon, and his mention of not having the endurance an adult would.
He also didn't mention a few things intentionally such as his potentially, at least partially, deaging of somepony Celestia knows from her school, the reproductive issues, everything related to mitochondria, etc. Cure is a very, very paranoid pony, after all. Mentioning the potential for REAL deaging alone was a huge leap of faith for him, though he only did it since she brought up the topic herself.
Also, he wanted to plant the seed that maybe a potential threat from her past is still out there.
As for hybrid children this was addressed in Executive Decision and the chapter where Seaquestria was mentioned. Chapter 23 is the Seaquestria one and it's towards the end of 38 that Dr. Care goes on a rant about how similar the different creatures of the world actually are. There'll also be a small blurb about griffons next chapter.

The comics are soft canon.
tldr: it's canon unless contradicted in the show directly or indirectly
Yes, my little American pony, that is generally how a monarchy works. Of course, it generally does imply some reciprocal responsibilities to her subjects. She did just come to dinner, offer to become your patron and teacher, and offer you tax rebates.
YEEEESSSS!! Finally she is here, and the scene was perfect, as for me.
Thanks.
Waiting for next chapter.
So now Cure has a future as Celestia's pupil. I'm surprised his parents didn't react to their son being offered such a prestigious privilege.
11477444
I feel they need to digest the info, defrag, and come to terms with Celestia's flirting
11477318
That was his joke, yes.
Bit of dirty pool from the princess, though.
11477463
True, but I mostly made it obvious cause i know there's some on here that won't get the reference
11477467
Then why did you put it like "kind of like [insert thing]..."? It makes it look like you didn't understand that he was making a joke.
11477476
I think the point of the comment has flown away...
11477478
Well, in any case, if you were trying to do it with a certain vibe or something, there was no context to not take it at face value. RIP
As its not dialog so probably a typo, seems like it could be intentional though?
Again, might be intentional. I really expected Cure would be unable to let this perfect opportunity to stick on his horn and casually cast it anyway pass by.
This chapter is great. The birthing season was handled really well and I love the way that dinner played out. Celestia just going along with the prank on Deed for a laugh fits her perfectly.
11477204
It was bound to happen but I too never expected her to just show up like that. That said, her mature character and demeanor were extremely well presented. Looking back I can see all our fears were unfounded because of our human bias. Ponies have had cutie marks forever and it's only logical that "bad" or potentially abuse-prone marks would pop up rarely and since Celestia's been around for eons, she would be the least surprised by Cure. Makes me feel kinda stupid that I didn't realize this sooner.
Wow... me thinks there is more going on.... I still think that the unicorn nobles are gonna have a conniption fit when he takes celestia up on her offer of tutaledge. And old age has never killed anyone. Health problems caused by the age related deterioration of the body. That's what gets ya.
That was quite the game of chess on both sides. Cure learned a lot about Celestia and vice-versa.
Snuggling Celestia was a masterstroke of genius. I'm sure Cure has at least some hairs with follicles attached -- meaning live cells -- that he can scan without Celestia ever having any suspicion. He skillfully avoided scanning her which would have lost him a lot of points.
She exposed that she knows a ton about him. The tax rebates thing was carefully tailored. She did fail however with regard to the seeds. This will be remembered by Cure Wave.
I'm enjoying him exploring his powers. No we can't just do that...ok done.
Then later we see what a well done hyped up meeting looks like.
this chapter was extra awesome
i smiled so much my checks hurt
Hospital doors burst open, wheeling in Lemon on a stretcher. The doctor rushes over "what do we have?"
"A cute adorabeetees overload. She's unresponsive and her pupils are dilated."
"Ok nurse, I need 10cc of bitch face, 10cc of monday blues, and 5cc of karen extract ready incase of emergency. Meanwhile, prep operating room 2 for an immediate dutch oven."
(^ this is my brain at 1am @_@)
11477199
Ya

I remember the alicorn syndrome that was mentioned. What I meant was if it was possible for non-native species to be born in a vastly different circumstance.
Could a foal break open, say, a dragon egg or would it be fated to die? What if they are suppose to be born larger, but the egg handicaps them and end up with a tiny foal or a dead one?
I am led to believe that genetics won't normally create a soup of both parent's DNA to, say, create a Longma, Hippogriff, and other hybrids. Rather, it is like a ball pit where the genes are mix and matched, so a pony-griffon family would probably have ponies and griffons instead of hippogriffs.
But, I also believe there is a small chance the baby would end up with their parents' body types.
Tl;dr
Genes are messy and I apprently talk in a roundabout way. I wanted to ask if it would be addressed when Cure might face a problem where he had an option to customise the baby like what humans could potentially do in our lifetime
Ps. I apologise for my long rant-ish comment before this. I was typing while on the verge of sleeping for the night. This, too, was based off a research I heard about genetics that I did many years ago that I still believe. Though, there might be a chance it is an outdated research by now.
I like how the story is progressing at an almost 1:1 rate with actual irl passage of time.
No really I don't mind the pacing.
This is probably the first time the gender imbalance/harem/herd concept hasn't bothered me. The concept is well executed here and it also really adds to making ponyland feel alien, different from earth yet similar enough to be relatable. Very good world building.
Me pregunto que pasará a continuación 🤔
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Man Cure could’ve asked to scan Celestia if he told her it would help him figuring out anti-aging. But understand why he didn’t. Little paranoid and all that
11478146
He didn't have to -- by snuggling Celestia the way he did, he has hairs. Hair follicles have live cells. So he has all the DNA he needs without the need to scan Celestia directly.
11478270
You're not wrong buuuut...
At one point I had a line right after she uses the cantrip to clean the plates where Cure thinks, "Well, there goes any DNA from saliva. I wonder if that was intentional."
I eventually removed it because despite the fact he may learn something from scanning the princess he would also be absolutely crapping all over her right to privacy. The only time he ever entertained the idea of scanning ponies without express permission was when he was trying to gather aggregate data at the rodeo. The family elected not to do that and he agreed.
This would not be a similar situation. It would be a willful invasion of her privacy after she had already declined the opportunity to have him use his talent on her. It would be made worse by the fact she has gone out of her way, sort of, to protect his privacy at the same time. (I only say sort of because you could argue it also was more convenient for her)
Given that Cure has declined other opportunities to scan beings and he will be meeting with her again in just a few months I believe it would be very out of character for him to do this without consent.
He still doesn't even use his talent on his parents without their blessing typically. He did to Deed but that was to ensure his family's safety AND he still felt the need to offer a semi-apology with the whole "Had to be sure" line.
11478325
Using the talent on collected hair samples and using it on a pony are two very different things. You aren't going to get all of the illnesses that the pony suffers from scanning a hair follicle, and it is not invasive on the pony. It is a class of pony, just a class of one at this time. Also Celestia is a public figure -- THE public figure. You lose privacy being a public figure. Then you have the fact that the temptation is greater. It fills a major slot that Cure Wave really would want to know about. It also is a win vs Celestia in a chess game. There are many other ways to rationalize it as well. Cure isn't typically wasteful with a resource and the knowledge could save lives.
11478082
Of course he can fall in love, just not with a 6 year old filly.
It's creepy because he clearly has the same mental aptitude as a fully grown adult so he doesn't have any excuse.
You don't get to talk about being old enough to be your moms grandpa and hit on kids at the same time and not come off weird.
Noooo I've caught up! This is genuinely a really good story and I wish I had half the skill you do in writing!
Hell or at least be able match your consistency in chapter writing times, I've been neglecting my story for ages because real life stuff but still I hope I'm eventually as good as you are at both story telling and time management.
