Alternia, sister to Chrysalis, ruled Equestria for a thousand years, disguised as Princess Celestia, while the alicorn slumbered in a healing sleep. Now revealed, Alternia prepares to become Equestria’s first changeling princess, and prove herself to the ponies she loves at the side of her co-rulers Luna and the newly-returned Celestia.

But even as the crown descends onto Alternia’s head, something is stirring in the depths of the Eastern Sea, something that will turn the surface world onto its head. Some power that could destroy Alternia, and all that she loves, before she can even regain the approval of her own ponies.

Will Alternia restore the trust her ponies once placed with her? Will she found a hive? Will she find love?

Ryan O'Connor arrived in Equestria a couple years back when Twilight was checking up on Sunset Shimmer. Instead of looking through the mirror of Sunset's world, Twilight looked through another and saw Ryan was about to be buried in an avalanche during a rescue mission. Without even thinking, Twilight pulled him to safety but the way home was blocked and left Ryan stranded in Equestria. To Twilight's surprise, Ryan was pretty cool with it and decided to enjoy his stay and the company of his adorkable savior.

Just a little something that came to mind before and since I'm reading a lot of Twilight Sparkle stories I'd thought I should write this down for you guys. And the cover image was great inspiration as well.
It's basically in medias res and history will occasionally be told in flashbacks and referenced in dialogue.
It's mainly going to be romance, fluff and general sillyness.

This "prequel" is a collection of one-shots of Knight's adventures up until the events of my main story, Past, Present, and Future. I highly recommend to at least have started reading that one before reading this one.

EDIT Feb. 20, 2015: Eeyup, we all saw this coming. It's taken about a year of inactivity, but I'm finally putting all my stories on official Hiatus (the 2 that are published and in progress and 2 that are unpublished and seen by very few). More details here.

In the months following her return from Nightmare, Luna locked herself away in her room. Despite her best efforts, Celestia could not coax her sister outside in an effort to reintegrate her with the modern ponies. The Princess of the Sun was not willing to simply stand by and watch this time as Luna fell to ruin, but the younger alicorn was making things much harder than they needed to be, only raising the moon and mindlessly wandering the dreamscape in her self-imposed exile.

The eldest mare's list of ideas was nearly run dry when a strange Rough Collie suddenly appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the royal gardens, wounded. Celestia saw this as an opportunity to get her sister to make a new friend. Luna, however, does not especially care for canines, only seeing them as day-running, mindless mutts.

The only problem with that is... I'm not quite as mindless as she thinks I am.

A/N:
This is a test to see if I could do a non-romance story. My writer's block has been acting up something fierce, so I figured that maybe some work on a different story like this might help me.

EDIT 6/30/18: Progress on the rewrite of my other story, PP&F, has slowed down again, so I'm gonna see what I can do about this one since I can actually post these chapters as a write them, instead of writing the entire thing then posting chapters on a steady schedule.

Some inspiration was taken from A Feline's Point of View by Zman537, a wonderful little story that, if you've never heard of it, you should feel ashamed for not having read yet.

Important notes about the status of this story below

Ever wonder what Equestria's past was like? How did Celestia and Luna come to rule? And what made their rule a time of peace? Well I may have had something to do with that.

Name's Zack. I appeared in Equestria over 3000 years before the show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" takes place. For whatever reason, a few months after my arrival, I was transported to the modern day Ponyville. What happened? Are the Princesses mad at me for disappearing like I did? I only helped establish the greatest country this world has ever seen and then vanished.

That... sounded more innocent in my head. Uh oh...

Just to let you know ahead of time, this is a ponified human, 1st person story. If you don't like it, don't bother.

As such, it will essentially be an entirely new story, meaning this version of Past, Present, and Future is technically Cancelled. There will be no more chapter updates until I finish the rewrite, meaning that this version will not have a proper ending. If it's requested enough, I may do some kind of Cliffnotes version of how the rest of the story was meant to play out, but for right now just know that if you start reading this version, you will not get an ending. I will post an announcement chapter on this story and Blog on my profile when the writing nears completion and I'm about to start uploading chapters. Captain Galen and his for-hire crew were well known for taking odd and dangerous jobs. Be it mapping dangerous areas to taking emergency distress calls, the crew had seen it all. After a solid two weeks of back to back work, the crew looked forward to dropping off a captured criminal and getting some rest. An urgent request interrupts their plans however, and they are tasked with kidnapping a Princess to keep her out of murderous claws.

But all is not what it seems, and before the dust settles relationships will be forged and tested as the foundations of kingdoms are shaken to their roots. What started as a odd yet straightforward two-week job now has no end in sight, and there are no safe harbors from the storms of war that loom on the horizon.

As Gallus continues to try and explore the uncharted waters of being a special somegriff, the demons from his past rear their collective heads.
