A United States Air Force AC-130 is transported to Equestria while in transit through the Bermuda Triangle. Insanity aside, this motley crew of aviators must juggle their duties while treading the uncertain waters of diplomacy.

Disclaimer: I've decided to write this in an attempt to get a more realistic view of what military in Equestria would act like, rather then the dark brooding kill happy stuff I've read. So with that being said, these guys will act more like diplomats. So there won't be much gore, and they certainly won't be going on a killing spree. (Obviously, as fiction the term realistic is applied loosely. My main goal is a realistic characterization of one specific community within the military. Just keep an open mind about how sub-cultures can exist within an entity as large as the U.S. military and you'll be fine.) Also rated teen for obvious reasons, morbid humor, light swearing, and background stories.

Along the western border of the United States in the wild territory of Kansas, lies the US Army outpost of Fort Scott. Tasked with patrolling the western plains, the men of the 1st US Dragoons and the other soldiers of the post long for a break from the monotonous life on the frontier.

One day, they find themselves and their post transported to a strange land with strange inhabitants to greet them. Now they have found the adventure they had longed for however the outcome of that adventure may not be what they expected.

(Edit: other characters that will appear will be historical figures from American History. The cutie mark crusaders are still characters. Big Macintosh, Shining Armor and the royal sisters will also appear. The new add on of Sombra was made because I have finally figured out where I would like this story to go. You'll have to wait and see though)

American Military Men are trapped in Vietnam about to lose to the enemy. They know that the only way to win is to go back in time to stop the war from ever starting. But... They go too far...

Will they be able to stop the war and save their fellow troops forward in time? Maybe, but they will need some help from friends!

Two hundred years before the reunification of the three pony tribes, it was a curse to be born an Earth Pony. The Unicorn nobility ruthlessly taxes and subjugate them, while Pegasus marauders mercilessly raid towns and villages under the 'protection' of Pegasopolis. However, when a mysterious creature wielding ungodly powers saves a village from a Pegasus raid, the Earth Ponies finally see a way to break free of the vicious cycle and earn their freedom and equality.

Else where, a young man finds himself cast into a foreign world after an encounter with the spirit of chaos, armed with nothing but his newly bought handgun along with two magazines' worth of ammunition. However, he realized that the world he found himself in is far more complicated than he could ever imagine and that he must act to help the oppressed or forever live with a guilty conscience.

An experimental story trying to train my pacing a little, and hoping to create a HiE story with a more meaningful theme than just 'Find Mane 6 and live in Ponyville'. Big thanks to Garzeel_ for prereading! Hope you guys enjoy it!

War. Noun. (1) : a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state.

"Soldiers are always preparing to fight the previous war" is a saying that is common amongst those of military profession. Equestria has not seen a war on her own soil in several hundred years. As such, would she be prepared for when such a thing happens? Of course not.

Battling the griffons and the minotaurs has been a challenge due to lack of experience. Fortunately, her armies adapted and started to hold her own. That was, until Tirek returned and aided in the fight to defeat Equestria. To keep his friends safe, Discord successfully defeated Tirek and sealed him away. The cost of fighting Tirek? Dying. Knowing that he would die, Discord summoned several creatures to protect his friends. These creatures, never seen before in Equestria, are very familiar with the concept of war.

This world has experienced their second industrial revolution and Equestria is at war, a World War, the first this world has seen. Equestria and her citizens have a lot to learn if they want to see the end of this conflict with their culture and way of life preserved.

With a "blessing" from my don, I found that it would prove wise to escape my past and the people who still want me dead not by leaving New York City or even the country, but by my newly discovered mode of transport, inter dimensional travel. By complete freak accident, I ended up getting sucked into Equestria, a land of friendship, magic and candy colored talking ponies who proceed to annoy the hell out of me...and I gotta wait a week to get back.

Think I can keep my sanity and maybe even learn a few things about friendship? Will I even go so far as to make friends with these fruity little wimps and risk life and limb to help them when they accepted me and took me in as their friend? An unexpected event happened in Crystal Empire and quickly spread all over Equestria. Unfortunately, the same thing happened to the youngest ranger in the Army Ranger.

When he and his friends are sent to Afghanistan to fight alongside each other and their main objective is to capture one of the ISIS base in a town, they suddenly got teleported into the 'beautiful' land of Equestria, where they met with colorful talking ponies. But everything didn't seem as beautiful as it looks like.

The rangers now are going to fight with a villain that his mission is to conquer Equestria. Luckily for them, they have technology far more advanced to fight the evil one. So, nothing could go absolutely wrong right? I hope so.
