What will the other lost-weekenders think when they walk in on him passed out on their couch? Will he be able to get through the city and at least back to his apartment, if not to normal? Will he learn anything about REAL friendship along the way and stop being such an insufferable hipster? What if some blowhard fan author just couldn't “turn it off” and ended up trying to write a pony story as actual sci-fi? Will Ahuizotl get the statue? Does P=NPony? Can you grab me another beer while you're up?

Your standard pony Trip Report, with your standard pseudo-autobiographical narrator, written to flush out my creative plumbing and play around with, uh, like, good...thinkies and word-putting, and because the urge to do it just wouldn't leave me alone, so I just had to get it outta my system. I just really like the juxtaposition of humans and ponies, I guess.

Title is obviously a reference to M-Theory and Tristram Shandy, respectively. Because I can never pick just one thing.

A mysterious group of men has been kidnapping young women and turning them into ponies against their wills to sell them as slaves to some of the corrupt rich for profit. One such victim has been turned into a purple unicorn pony and was dubbed Twilight Sparkle by her captors. She has resigned herself to her fate as a pony slave and was awaiting the day for IT to happen... That is until the man who bought her has no such plans for her...

This is an Alternative Universe where the mane cast are originally human but were turned into their pony forms. Each chapter will begin with a transformation of the character who has the more prominent role in the current one and most of the plot happens afterwards, that way if you don't like transformations or view them as a fetish (when it really isn't in this case), you can skip it and continue with the story at hand.
While I did add Adventure to the tags, the characters don't really travel that much, but since there isn't a Mystery and Drama category in this site (which is what this story is), I had no choice but to use this tag for the both of them.

I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Red Bomber here, but my actual internet name is Guilrel and I am the actual author of this Dark Alternative which is based off on Toongrowner's ideas of Dark Alternative Universes and I got his permission to post the story here. The reason I didn't do this before because I was a closet brony I didn't want to let my watchers know that I like the show too, especially since my first fanfic to the show is a story like this. I was actually afraid of losing them because alot of people just do that to the authors and artists they're watching and go "Oh no. Not you too." and then de-watches them. But now I don't really care about that anymore and I'll go into more detail about this on my own journal. Anyway about the nature of this story, while this isn't a clopfic, I feel like that this is the furthest almost mature story I've ever written and I'm afraid of how many people will not like it. But I have to accept it that this will happen and I hope I'll actually have the heart to finish what I started. Because I really wanted help Toongrowner expand his idea and he's a really nice friend of mine for a while now, I can't really let him down now that I'm this far.

(Deleted Scenes) These are parts of the story that were left off or cutaway from the main story because I felt they are either too weird or too out of place to fit in the main story. Because of this I'll be taking some liberties to change a few lines to make them sillier despite some of the dark tone of this story has along with the other side stories.

This will also be the first time that I will be literally writing down stories directly in the chapters sections even though it's only for the deleted scenes. There are two more reasons why I'm doing this. First: is to get inspiration, since I haven't been motivated to do the story recently due to my current nightly activities and the work I had to do for College, so I've been too tired to do except maybe writing down huge speeches like this. Maybe if I work on this while trying to sleep properly I'll be motivated to get Dark Alternative done sooner. The second reason is that I wanted to have a place to put the sidestories in when I'm ready to do them after chapter 3 is done. Tyler Reece, a Paleontologist, who has lived a rather boring life, fins the discovery of the century. An evolved Tyrannosaurus Rex. Larger, meaner, and more predatory. It dwarfs the previous incarnation, by becoming slightly larger than a Spinosaurus, and having the weight to match. Of course there was only so much to gauge from the bones, but of course, while Tyler is trying to bask in his short glory, he is taken to a far off world.

However, luckily for Tyler he's not defenseless, as he controls the body of the most powerful predator in that world: the world of Equus.

Flurry Heart's Crystaling didn't quite go as planned. After vanishing in a powerful magical surge, she became the most high-profile missing pony case in Equestrian history. Twilight leads the search to find her, before it's too late.

Unbeknownst to her, Flurry has already been found, by an unfortunate human who happened to be hiking near the place she appeared. Flurry Heart's magic is irresistibly powerful, and soon changes all around her to suit her whims. Soon Flurry's rescuer is fighting to reverse the magic, before the authorities notice and separate him from the only possible source of help.
