Sorry if I haven’t been writing much, but life keeps happening. Well, my life is generally bad, but it reached a rare level of it last December and has persisted since. I try to write all the time, but I usually just end up spinning the metaphorical wheel. I often have trouble just finding motivation for one of my escapes, let alone what few things I can still squeeze an iota of enjoyment out of.

Thank you for the fav for Of Men and Insects!

2309335 Oh, hey, small world. :derpytongue2:

As for my worries: nah. I think what I have for a prologue is solid enough, and implies the existence of supernatural/magical equines. It definitely works over at FF.net, in the Ranma 1/2 section, but Ranma 1/2 being the primary universe in the first part of the story probably isn't going to help it at a site whose main focus is MLP: FIM.

I read your story a few years ago before ever having any interaction with ponies. It was memorable for me at the time because it had an interesting premise and was soft enough in it's transition that you really only need to know Ranma to start the story. Ahh.. the ranma fanfiction community, one of the great fiction communities on the ye olde internet. It's so sad to see it fall into disrepair, there were some really good stories back in the day that are almost impossible to find now.

If the "must have pony in first chapter" rule is what's bothering you, you could always add a small prologue that doesn't spoil anything but firmly establishes the existence of ponies.
